Yes, James and his gang became the cherry on top of Late Night shows with their antics and I for one looked forward to his show dropping at 3am, it was something to look forward to during the long sleepless pandemic nights

Karaoke car singing and street musicals were wonderful ❤ James held his own with performer guests & kept us going through the Pandemic
James’s team of writers and crew was hands down the best tv through the pandemic! It really was quite amazing and people don’t talk about how they redesigned late night in a way that absolutely nobody else did! But it should really be a notable moment in time….

James Corden always reminds me of how much I miss Craig Ferguson hosting the 'Late Late Show'. He must have been operating on a small budget with no band, a robot sidekick and two interns in a horse costume, and Craig made the best of it all as a highly talented comedian offering original delightful material. I checked out Corden as host, and found him to be a let down.
You do realize that the robot sidekick and horse would have been his choice and the low budget look was his style, right? They did put more into booking big guests with James, but I would give Craig some credit for his choices. The complaining about the budget was part of his schtick.

Yeah didn’t love him as a person but he had a great band with Reggie (kinda like the Fallon with The Roots dynamic who are amazing) and carpool karaoke was good and there were a couple good bits on the show. Same with Ellen, not for me humour wise or aesthetically but her show was a bit like Graham Norton and she could get the most celebs.

James announced he was quitting in April 2022 saying he's signed his contract for one more year. he left April 2023. the restaurant incident was in-between those times. no show would fire someone but give them a year to leave

His daughter may not be purposefully holding onto her American accent. I moved from a northern state at age 5 and my brother age 8 to the south and even after 40+ years in the south, both he and I had/have a northern accent. Picked up a few words/pronunciations. Nothing more.
I loved his show and his staff. Got me through Covid. I miss all the bits. If he came back with his writers I would watch.

Nearly a year with James Corden on American telly and the world did not end.
He timed his departure perfectly because the writers went on strike a couple weeks after he left so he would possibly not have send-off episode. lol
That was awesome. I didn't really care for James Corden when he was doing his show but I enjoyed him on here and it sounds like I will like his podcasts.

Having a couple viral carpool karaokes doesn't make up for the $20 million shortfall. He was making $6 million per year, so of course he misses the money.
