Everybody talks about how good she looks for 70, while I am here being impressed how sharp and articulate she is! My mom and dad are at least 5 years younger than her and are already declining mentally. I know not everybody is the same but that’s the first thing that stood out to me.

@@tlee4218 I can agree with what you are saying to some degree but, then again no I disagree. If we are what we eat then we must recall that Oprah lived on southern fried foods for decades and she is still sharp as a knife. Or our 45th president of the United States eats McDonalds a few days a week and is one of the wisest men we will all ever know. So your comment is not 100% correct.

I tried to watch her everyday after school but if my parents happened to come home and catch me watching tv they would immediately shut it off. I was always forced to do extra curricular school activities, like track, joining the community swim team… Anything not be sedentary. During the summer, my mother would drop me off at the library. But in college, I was on my own, and allowed to watch Oprah every single day. Unfortunately I am not the most successful I should’ve taken my 20s and 30s to date like my life depended on it. I should not have wasted so much time focusing on school and career and I should’ve frozen my eggs. Oprah didn’t teach us that.

    • @CabinFever52

@@HH-gv8mx , you don't know that you would have found a good match for you during those years, if you had spent them "dating like [your] life depended on it." If you can't have kids now, you might have been infertile at the time (like me). It probably isn't good to have regrets like that, since you really can't say how things would have turned out. Try to make the most of what you do have. Or could still have.

Same! My family would laugh and call me insane for watching her and listening to her advice. Of course, I used my own inner compass to make ultimate decisions in my life but having her wisdom and wealth of experiences aided me a lot. My family would say awful things about her. Fast forward to today, and we are on different levels. I live a more peaceful and abundant life than those related to me.

Every weekday after school, my sisters & I grew up watching Oprah because my mom refused to miss "her" show. Mom would be talking to & agreeing w/ Oprah like we were at church receiving gospel, & afterwards mom would have discussions w/ us girls about many of the topics that Oprah covered on the show. My mom spent her entire career working & advocating on behalf of & for women until she retired a year ago. There are currently 5 generations of women, alive & well in my family, & when you grow up in an environment surrounded by so many intelligent & courageous women, you see that women are strong & must support eachother! NEVER be complacent if/when there is someone attempting to take away any woman's rights EVER! Oprah has always tried to be a voice for so many AND create a platform for others to speak their voice as well.

Oprah has always motivated us towards happiness, but there is no better way of teaching the lesson than how she's doing it now !
That is, being happy, herself, and then intentionally sharing it with us, like she's doing with Jimmy and the audience.
The warm cues she's giving the audience and how the audience reciprocates, is what is making her so infectious today ❤❤
Oprah is always dressing great and today, she's just so cool 🔥🔥
Her warmth endears her to everybody !

She looks sharp and healthy at 70
She has her own ego at bay. She's open and doesn't bother tell a good story because she's a megastar (as they usually do)
Jimmy handled this interview perfectly although seemed a little star struck at first
I bet that by the time he retires he will have been a legendary talk show host like her

Oprah is the best, and looks great these days. Very cool to see 70yr olds looking 50, gives me hope I can still do better. No Daylight Savings Time all year here in Saskatchewan is the best. Changing clocks 2x a year is just silly. Of course we have very cold winters (as cold as -50c sometimes), so we get the spring memo when it warms up and the snow melts. Unlike L.A. where it's practically summer 365 days a year comparably. But the whole extra hour of sunshine thing really isn't noticed, because winter is already colder and getting darker earlier, just seems to go hand in hand as part of the season.
