Amazing how quiet, soft spoken, and taciturn Eddie is in real life. Quite the opposite of the wild and crazy characters he's famous for portraying on screen, lol.
One of my brothers always reminded me of him bc of the moustachw and the swagger when he was young. But this side of Eddie is something that I always enjoy seeing and wish my brother had, so we could tolerate him better😅
Eddie Murphy changed after the release of Harlem nights in 1989. He was never the same after that point unfortunately. This soft spoken guy is who he more or less became after that year.
Yep, yep, so true! Especially if you have seen the show "Delirious" and "Raw" -- Eddie Muphy can be wild, but he can also be so soft-spoken as we see him here. 😄
His delivery on stories is fantastic. He should do another stand up show. Now they have Beverly Hills cop 4 in the bag, I’m sure Netflix could do a comedy special no issue.
I am a Dave Chappelle fan but some of you claim that he is the best to ever do it. No he is not and even Dave will tell you that Eddie is the best to ever do it. Legends like Richard Pryor and Redd Foxx paved the way for Eddie but there is no one else quite like him. Eddie paid for Chris Rock to fly first class to go perform on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Eddie put Chris and Dave in his movies (Boomerang and Nutty Professor). Eddie was a legendary cast member on Saturday Night Live, was a legendary standup comedian, starred in iconic comedies (too many to name), was the voice of Donkey in Shrek, sang and danced in Dreamgirls and put out hit songs like "Party All The Time" in the 80's. Eddie is the GOAT and it's not even close. I could listen to him tell stories all day.

The only thing better than Eddies smile is his laugh.
Eddie is just the best! Love this man. Great stories, even though you can tell he doesn’t enjoy talking about himself too much. He’s a national treasure, that’s still going strong!
Charlie Murphy told two stories about hanging with his brother that are now part of folklore. Can you imagine if Eddie unleashed about his own life? It would be amazing.
The stories about Rick James and Prince? Hilarious.
I'm super pumped to see Eddie Murphy again. Good to see you, Eddie! We missed you!
We need a much longer interview with Eddie!
WoW. Watching & listening to Eddie Murphy is like going back in time with friends & family. This interview was so good. Thank you
Eddie Murphy is an icon, he never ages
Eddie Murphy seems like the grandfather I’ve never had! I love hearing him talk about his life❤ my mom and I used to watch all his old videos from the 80’s growing up and it was one of my favorite memories with her
He puts the dude in cool*X
Another Eddie Murphy timeless classic show.. love it! His wonderfulness makes me happy 😊

1:08 After ALL this time, now it's unintentionally revealed where Eddie (as Randy Watson with his band, Sexual Chocolate) got that exit move from when he left the stage during the Miss Black Awareness pageant in "Coming to America" 😂😂😂
Eddie Murphy's life experiences with Hollywood stars would be a hell of a movie
A beautiful interview with an iconic human. Eddie isnt always easy to interview, Kimmel does a great job. I grew up with Eddie on SNL, he made us belly laugh every week. Just one of the classic greats of comedy!
This needs to be 5 times as long! Or we need a show where eddie just sits and tells stories. Good stuff.
We need Eddie Murphy's true Hollywood stories! Now please!
I want an Eddie Murphy autobiography. I can't believe the people he hung out with; we need ALL the stories!
