I think you messed up cardioid mode by talking into the back of the microphone. Try cardioid and talking into the front, The front of the microphone is where the behringer logo is.

Thanks @TheLunaski , I tried the on other side (logo facing me), its better than before, but not as good as omni direction mode. Thanks for the suggestion.
