Well Stu Respect !! your attention to detail neatness and tidy workspace I applaude you. There are a lot of van builders out there but no where near the quality you are producing .If I come over to the darkside which I keep considering you will be the man I call.
I purchased a boxer on Monday an L2H2 and over the last two days have removed the bulkhead, flooring and side paneling. A good clean out tomorrow and my conversion will begin! Great videos, keep ‘em going!
Another good video, its an education listening to you explain how you are doing everything, I have said it before and I will say it again, you have great skills.....
I am building the exact same van and I am at roughly the same stage. I have to say I love your accent. I've been to Wales a few times and the people are lovely.
This is the good stage, every day it looks a little bit more complete 👍🏻 I don’t think my accent is that strong but I guess we never hear our own accent 🤣
Hi, what a fantastic job you are doing with the build, glad you spotted the shower tray fo-pah (if that's how you spell it 😅) before you carried on. Great that you are future proofing it for the buyer, looking forward to the next vlog. Paul and Joanne 👍
Another great video, going into depth on the build is exactly the channel we need on RUclips I’d be interested to know how much the suitcase diesel heater was bud?
Thanks mate, this is my warm up series the next one will be even more detailed on the parts people want to know about 👍🏻 We are doing a review on it over on the rucks channel soon mate and will have some discount codes for it 👍🏻
@@VanologyConversions excellent, I’ll take a look. I have a very short video coming out tonight on my channel, explains why I’ve been quiet since the NC500 lol
Hi Stu, i heard you are using a 700mm wide shower tray . How wode will the kitchen be as i know from doing mine at the moment there os about 1800mm width in total . Just thinking about how wide your walkway will be in the middle . Or are you encroaching on that area a bit . Cheers mate ( ps love a tidy workshop = a tidy mind )
The kitchen will be 550mm wide but I’m also going to do a 100 in step plinth. I’ve marked it out and looks decent 👍🏻 gotta be clean only problem is it’s messy again 😣
I love watching your channel, I recall seeing your first video popping up & I just knew you were going to be good. I've been following your builds & you've given me lots of inspiration & a bit of confidence in having a good go at building sometning smart. So I went & bought me a lovely grey Citroen Relay LWB over in Essex & brought it back home to Ireland on the ferry. I've got a bit of a request for you man, or I'm asking if you have the time to.. I'd love to see you would do a how-to video dedicated to installing the DC - DC charger, because we have smart alternators now, I really don't fancy trying to splice in to the ignition wire for the D+ cable (it just seems too dodgy) so I'd love to see how you've done this with the piggy back fuse. As I've grabbed myself a Renogy 50a DC - DC charger & 400w solar going up on to the roof. No one on here, on RUclips has done a decent video of this process for the Relay/Boxer/Ducato. Best of luck with the channel & the new work shop.
Thanks mate I’m glad they are helping your build, this is exactly what it’s all about. There are two ways to get an ignition live, one is as you suggested via the 12v fuses using a piggyback and the second which we have been using more recently is the by the cigarette lighter you will see a circular cap, pop this off and there is 3 cables in here. The black is ground and the other two are the same colour I believe grey and yellow. Use a multi meter to determine which one is the ignition live. If you need more guidance drop me an email and I’ll help further mate
@@VanologyConversions aww thank you man, much appreciated. This way by the cigarette lighter seems a better & far handier option, I'll give that a go & if I do happen to get stuck, I'll take you up on that offer of shooting you an email. Thank you again 👍
The front skylight could have gone further forward. On the roof there is a flat section and I fitted a 400x400 skylight there for that very reason with the shower. 👍🏼🏴🥰
I felt it was too far forward in that section and second second would give more light for kitchen area. If bed was original 120 would have been okay. I Got to remember knock on effects 👍🏻
Come and get them lol I got plenty 🤣 the problem with the original size wasn’t the tray it was it would have collided with the skylight. The bed was originally 120cm but I upped it to 135 and over looked that part. Luckily 700x700 shower trays are very common. 👍🏻
Stu, if you do this type of van again there is a converters plug hidden behind the lower black panel by the drivers seat, it has a plug with 16mm black and red cable already attached to the battery and fused at the battery there are also other functions there like ignition trigger ,I found out about this on a RUclips video if I can find the link I'll try and send it if it helps. Best of luck buddy keep up the good work. Sorry Stu I lied it wasn't a video but if you Google "converters socket mister G" you should find the link big time saver.👍
Hi Paul, not all models have this point, was the first thing I checked lol but of course I have one without it 😔 don’t understand why some have it and some don’t would be so useful 👍🏻
this is shaping up to be a great series of educational videos , Stu. I got the fogstar myself but got the Ctek 250 SE when i ripped out the dodgy previous electrics. That too cranks out 20 amp but I think I'm going to go for something bigger and have a seperate MPPT for the 360 watts solar on my roof. Eventually I intend to get a bigger van like your mate's but I\d rather have everything properly done so if ever I do, I'll deffo know who to give a shout to. Best regards- Kenny
@@VanologyConversions HATE the black ... white or light every time in such a confined space. My van has blue carpet on sides, with silver (a very light grey) ceiling and rear doors.
Stu can I give you a suggestion, why not do a half height slide out pantry by the bench, where you had to reduce the shower room, then your sockets and switches above
Funny enough I did think something along those lines but the L3 boxer isn’t quite as long as the L3 sprinter/crafter so space really is at a premium 👍🏻
This vid is a year old so can’t fully remember it but sure I fully explained it but if it wasn’t very informative I’m happy to do a more focused video 👍🏻🚐
Love Stu's videos, so informative and easy to watch. He's a genuine guy aswell.
Thank you very much 👊🏻🪚
Very smart electrics setup, it always looks good when all the cables are hidden.
It looked better than I had it pictured in my head and agree cables behind don’t take up much space but clean 👊🏻
Nice job Stu.
Cheers bud 👊🏻 hope you guys are all well 💙
You are a master builder loving it!
Thanks mate 👍🏻
Great video Stu thank you so much for explaining how to do everything brilliant 😎👍
Thanks mate, on the next van I’m going to try more details and showing of how things are done 👊🏻
Watching from Ireland stu really enjoying the build. It's on my to do list a self build.

Looking really nice stu, great series to watch. One thing though, get yourself some knee pads 👍.
Thanks mate it’s coming on nicely now. I do have an ole man kneel board otherwise known as insulation board 🤣 I can’t do knee pads with shorts
Loving the videos. Amazing work. Somebody will get the chance to own a van that will last for years to come. 👌
Thank you Alan 👍🏻 def been built to last

Thanks Neil 💙 shows a quality build can be done on a budget 👊🏻
Love the attention to detail of your conversion, personally I wouldn’t have a shower in, will give you a shout if I find a decent van😊
Thank you, I’m with you, I would t have a shower in my van either but we had a debate on an earlier channel and the shower won 🤣
Brilliant work 👍
