Awesome video. Learned a lot!!
Awesome 😎Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
So I do have a question. Did you add that color around the tube hollow or did you let it close the tube and keep working it in? Hopefully that makes sense.
You da man chad
Thats nuts the amount of work jus tto get a colored tube..... That tube you just made can make how many spoons with it?
is it possible to do anything like this with just a propane torch? I always been fascinated with the art of blowing glass, but cant afford the expensive tools. I bought a "Hot Head" torch and just wanted to start messing around with it a little.
Unfortunately it’s not sorry. You’ll need a bigger oxy/propane set up
If your doing these by hand do you still start the sleeveing process at the blowtube end?
If you’re using a vacuum then yes. If you’re pushing the air out on the marver without a vacuum many people start on the other end
Chadd Lacy thank you 🙏
Great video man! How long was your time on the torch and time on the lathe? Also is this the standard amount of glass you start a whale with? Keep the videos coming !!
Tough to say for timing tbh. I can usually do this entire process in about an hour or two tho
