- I quit social media for 5 days! Follow my journey quitting social media distraction and deleting Facebook, Twitter, RUclips, etc off my phone. Because content creating is my job, I had to create my own rules for this challenge. I encourage you to set your own rules if you'd like to try this social media detox challenge!
After doing this, I've kicked the habit of checking Instagram/RUclips upon waking, which has been so great. It's still a work in progress, and I'm learning how to balance my time on & off social media. I do believe that everyone should try to unplug at least once a month!

I think social media makes everyone feel more depressed due to increased social comparison.
I think everybody does it. The thing is that when you stop for some time and you get back to it, you notice it and you become aware of it. And that makes you stop comparing yourself too much to others!
Yep there's scientific proof of social media causing an increase in feeling depressed and anxious. For me its people living an amazing and social life and FOMO. It really sucks but because I finally caught the problem, I'm training my brain to become less reliant on it.
OMG SO TRUE!
That is so truee. Once u just see the behind the scenes it is not everyone is just a normal person with normal struggles!
Only if you let it
I deactivated my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram since Aug 2014 and I never looked back. Life is so much better.
Moonlight Dust Same here
👏👏👏
Eso es asombroso, muy bien.
I agree! I deactivated Facebook,Instagram and Snapchat and life has been so better I feel at ease
Bravo 👏👏👏
I quit Facebook. I don't like social media. the only social media I'm on is RUclips. I mostly watch Channels that deal with minimalism and veganism.
Thats a great tactic. Also instagram has a ton of visual inspo, especially on this subject. However youtube and pinterest are full of material on minimalism! :)
Me too!!
Same. RUclips is the only social media I have as well. I just never saw the point in anything else.
i deleted instagram 2 weeks ago and suddenly ive been getting lots of sleep, making smoothies, doing chores, and generally feeling better about myself, i reinstall social media every month or so just to communicate with those i dont see often in real life, in general, life is so much better without socials
I deleted my Facebook over a year ago and recently got rid of Instagram. Although some people thrive through social media, I feel like it's the best decision I've ever made. I couldn't remember a time when I woke up without my phone. Now I feel like I have SO much time. I feel more connected to people and I feel more passionate in my pursuits.
I did and often do this kind of challenge and what I notice is that I read a looooot more, I spend more time outside and am less irritable and jumpy (because of no scrolling) :) Really makes a difference in all my relationships and physical health, plus I am learning new stuff through reading.
yes! it's great

I love that more people are realizing how important breaks from social media are. 🙌🏽 I started taking breaks years ago and I became obsessed with how much more amazing my life became once I spent less time on there. In fact I ended up deleting my Instagram 3 years ago! And I’ve never looked back. It’s changed my life, I’m so much happier productive, fulfilled and much more. It’s possible to have this as a permanent thing guys! You just have to know what habits to replace your socials with that will help you become a greater version of yourself. 💛💛
I had deleted my social media since 2 years ago but I’m stuck on RUclips Thanks for posting 😍💫
me too !!!
Ya but RUclips distracts me
I personally had this detox a long time ago. People in my age are always hanging around on their phones, there's like no time to spend time with them. So I decided on my own, to delete some Networks, like Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and i'm actually thinking about delete Instagram. I just thought: Why should I use them? I'm 13 years old, and it makes me feel better, I can get more flexibility in my daily routine and enjoy every second in my life. I'm usually an happy Person, and a,, wannabe vegan". You're and awesome help for people, which feel so badly because of what their doing on their phones. And anyway, I don't have any problems with my parents, if I'm spending time on my phone, because I know how to control. So, thank you so much, you're and big inspiration😍 for me, you are georgeous, and so sweet. 1) Yes, I'm a girl😉, and 2) I'm from Germany, and in the 8th Grade. 💖

Being only 16 after seeing just like 10 minutes of the video it encouraged me to do a social media detox I do dual enrollment and it has been hard balancing both high school and college because I spend most of my time on social media but seeing this makes me want to do this like TODAY so thank you for the inspiration and encouragement
This is so weird..... I took just fb off my phone this week. I randomly did it to experiment how I felt and what is mindless time spent. It has been incredible. I have noticed how many people in blank moments will just reach for their phone. It is weird how you made a video on it because it has been a big topic on my mind. What a beautiful connected universe
Girl you read my mind! I had been depressed all last week and decided it was social media that did me in. I decided to minimize my social media and interactions on them! Glad you posted this video! It's inspired me to keep up this minimum social media lifestyle! Love the video, love you, thanks a lot!!
Addie Hervey You go girl☺
Social media are so toxic!! I can't stress this enough. I get so much anxiety.... I just watch RUclips videos from positive RUclipsrs like you that it. I'm so much happier without social media.
About a year ago I turned off all my notifications for my social media because all the little dings and screen light-ups were distracting. A few months ago I also decided to take RUclips, Pinterest, Facebook, and Twitter off of my phone because I didn't really need them on there and I can always check them on my desktop. Just a couple of days ago I did a day-long social media detox, because I felt like I was checking Instagram every 20 minutes, which was draining my battery and distracting me from my work. Since then I've been limiting myself to checking Instagram and Snapchat stories once per day, and I've definitely been much more productive and my battery has lasted longer because of it! Of course, it has been a little easier for me because my job does not depend on my social media usage, but it has definitely changed the way I go about my day. Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Aileen!
i like how you incorporated change slowly like that!
I'm glad you do this topic for your video! tbh i already deleted my instagram app for almost 4 months now, because i'm not someone who's work is heavily associated with social media so deleting the app was not a big deal. Sometimes i still opened my account just to post something that is very very important (rarely). But the 1st month was very hard for me and i felt like the world just abandoned me. But now whenever i saw someone on their social media when they eat, study, work, basically every time... i realized how it already consume too much of us. people post pictures just to compare themselves too each other. i know some people use those social media for work and other important stuff, but the other are just showing only the the peak of their life and unnecessarily making those who are having "less" feel miserable. But it's not every one's fault, it just how social media actually work and it mess with our heads.
I think doing social media detox is really healthy for us as human. it brings back our true identity and tell us that even without social media, we are still alive. And we don't have to pretend anymore to please "our follower" and we can stay true to who we really are. I hope with your video, many people will do social media detox too and later, make social media a better place!
Omg I literally saw your Instagram post about doing this last night and wanted to ask you how it went and look at what you uploaded this morning. 😂 Always reading my mind!! ☺️✨🌸
haha!
You know that she will always upload just amazing content. So helpful and inspiring! :)
Thank you so much, I've been thinking too much about deleting my social media apps, but I finally did it after watching your video. I hope you'll be there for so long to motivate us to become better every day. Thank so much : )
I’ve been thinking about a digital detox as well. You always share relevant topics and are so relatable. 💛. Crazy how much time we spend on our phones,! Tracking our exact time makes it hit home. I’m going to track it as well. Knowledge is power, wow! I love how you also developed.
a plan that still keeps your business alive and well on social.
Wendi Blum 🤙
It is crazy! Hope you can start tracking & see for yourself too :)
There are numerous apps that will track the indiviual social media that you are on a day and give you averages. There is an app called "antisocial:phone addiction" . It does the job and you would be surprised with the results!
Yessss!!!! I remember last year I came across an article that our attention span is shorter than a goldfish's.
So I had one week detoxes each month last year. This year, I had the longest detox, three months. It was helpful. Like you mentioned, it's more quiet. I'm in my own little world. I also had more time to read. Reading wasn't my favorite activity and now it is! So my mantra is that if I have time to check social media, then I do have time to read a book.
I did this a couple of years ago for about 6 months, no RUclips, no Instagram, no Facebook, nothing, not even WhatsApp. Honestly the best thing I ever did and made my mind feel so free and clear. I wish I'd stuck it out for longer tbh
I also used space a while ago, but found that it didn't stop me from spending time on my phone because I could simply dismiss their notifications, so the app I'm using is Stay focused. I like it because it's harder to dismiss, and actually blocks you off social media apps after you spend a certain amount of time on them (for example I set my Instagram time to 30 minutes daily at the beginning, and it wouldn't let me in once those minutes were up). While less aesthetically pleasing it also tracks time usage and it has a time tracker on the notification screen at all times, so I'm aware how much time I spend on my phone. I just prefer it to space overall. Don't know if it's available for Apple phones but regardless, worth checking out! Another great video Aileen!
Thank you for posting this video, Aileen. Social media can be draining and such a distraction. Even though there's ways to use it for positive ways, it's better off taking a break. I've tried this and I just love it. It's benefited me emotionally, mentally, and just helps me to realize there's so much I can be doing. Also thank you for being completely genuine in this video. I admire this about you.
Hi Aileen! I've been thinking of doing a challenge like this for awhile, but I always put it off. Watching your video really motivates me to actually do it and get the results that I need: more peace and more productivity! Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! 💕
I really want to try to do this and vlog my journey as well 😊 I have a major problem with being on my phone, and I feel like I’m missing the life going on around me! It’s sad really because life is just too short!
I would recomend to just start leaving your phone behind. For a few minutes at the time and slowly just progress to bigger chunks of time. Progressive extremism is actually what helped me.
I have been thinking about doing this for a long time, and now i can say that you encouraged me to start this because i need to do a lot of things this week before college
Thank you 🙏🏻 ♥️
I always thought I couldn’t do this as my full time job is a social media coordinator at an agency but if you were able to find a way to make it work when your job is online, it makes me think I can do it too! Definitely finding a way to try this out.
Hi Aileen, this was really cool of you to do, I've done my own detox for a few weeks and felt a lot of mental benefits. I would love to see you do a complete social media detox sometime. I know it is your work to post on social media, but if you announced you were taking a little break to do this I think you have developed an understanding community and it wouldn't hurt you in any way if you did say a 7 day social media detox. I say this because completely detoxing 100% is so freeing and you learn a lot about yourself and what's most important in life. You recharge and you realize there are good and bad parts of social media and come back with both a new appreciation and ability to not become as obsessive with it, at least in my experience!
i love this challenge!! this is so motivating to me to take a break as well in social media!! might as well try it out. thanks for this healthy habit idea!! ilysmmmm
It’s crazy how often people utilize social media to distract them while “waiting” - you’d be surprised how much you can do and learn when you’re not using those ratchet apps 😂
I love how you took a detox and we were talking about cleaning your space and metal health in our live chat in the Mastermind! I love getaways from social media. I've done this twice so far this year, during both mercury retrogrades!
yes! you're doing so great this year Rianna 😊
Also don’t feel bad for going on your phone. This was just time to find what apps u need to decrease the time of using. U inspire me so much everyday! Thank youuuu
I love how smoothly you change your hair color and how it suits you amazingly every time💓 great topic so helpful
Best luck
Hi Aileen !
I watch all your videos and love all the messages you send towards us ! I was just a bit disappointed in this video to see you vlog while driving ... I don’t think that’s safe and that it is a good example to set.
Anyway thank you for everything you do, kisses from France 😘
I have decided to start on the Social Media Detox today. I've been feeling unease, distracted, and upset/stressed at myself due to my lack of productivity. I needed some peace of mind and while I decided to come watch your youtube videos tonight, you have given me idea to try out the Social Media Detox Challenge. Thanks!
I actually went about this a different way. Instead of deleting my apps, I rearranged my phone so I couldn’t see them straight away. I decided to stay away from IG, FB and SC in order to focus on my last four months of study. It is very challenging and can definitely test your patience, especially when you want to loosen up or if you end up bored. But the sacrifice is paying off. I started July 5, 2019 and lasted two weeks so far. Just takes self-discipline, adopting good habits and a very busy and productive schedule 😂. Tbh, you just have to go one day or one step at a time. 🙂 and one day you will probably forget that you even have social media 😂😅
I can do without Facebook, but I’m a real RUclips addict😂. Really looking forward to your new workbook Aileen!😊
Nechama de Keyzer _yeah same I’m a RUclips addict as well_
I’ve actually been doing a 90 day social media detox ( since July 13) the biggest eye opener for me is my awareness and being present in the now
I did a social media detox a yr ago for a few months and I felt pretty good too. It did feel a little lonely but made me more focused on my life. What I try to do now is log out of my accounts so when I catch myself logging in, it makes me conscience and think twice. Thanks for sharing! ❤️
I've tried social media detox for a month before. It was hard for the first week but it really help me to be more productive, learning self-love, I've travelled to Vietnam with my family and get rid of any negative thoughts where I felt very low self-esteem seeing beautiful girls, couples, people travelling the world on instagram. I still have instagram now but I rarely open it because I have a major exam coming up in November and I feel very motivated to just focus on studying and be very productive in my daily routine where I spend less time in social media. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and inspired me to be more productive with less time in social media 💖
i just took 30 days off of social media (as part of a larger challenge i put myself on) and it was AWESOME! i no longer have that desire to be on. when i went back, i took people off my friends list and trimmed down my likes and groups. i love it! i got SO much done during that 30 days and my habits are changed.
Just downloaded the app, let's give this a go. Thanks for making this video, because I have been noticing how much social media influences me in my daily life and how much time I waste on it that I definitely could put into more productive things!
I quit ig 3 months ago. And i feel much more relaxed now. I even not worried anymore everytime i left my phone in my home. And i finally can spend a day w/o any phone and social media at all. And i really luv it. I used to spend 20hours my day for ig before. And i got anxiety. Now im really fine . And i really really luv it. 💜
amazing
🙌 I'm going take on this challenge. Will spend more time reading and with people that I care about. Already deactivated my facebook account two months ago. I felt so much better not scrolling through my facebook feed for hours aimlessly and I'm not even losing out on anything. Going to delete my facebook account now. And will limit the time i spend on youtube and instagram. Thanks, Aileen.
i did this a while ago and i felt so much more happier 💗
*Omg I've never been early!:) love your uploads Aileen. I get caught up scrolling for hours on end on social media just to procrastinate.*
theFitty crazy to hear the exact numbers,.
I think we all can relate!! 💖
exact numbers? What do you mean? :)
theFitty the number of hours on our cell phones!💫
@@WendiBlum and how many hours do you spend on your cell phone?
Love the video and hearing your thoughts. Things like this are great reminders for me to be more mindful with how I spend my time. Thanks Aileen
I loved watching your journey! I go on social media detoxes frequently because of the feeling of comparison and I’m also more productive. I’ve thought about deleting it all together but I am going into digital marketing and feel that I need to keep them. Also, your hair looks so good in this video!!
fascinating. I greatly reduced my social media this past week. it's really hard. I can totally see this as a mild addiction.
This is literally what I've been doing and it's so beneficial. I've been spending way too much time on technology all my life, so I'm trying to make an active change. I recently changed the way I used IG: before I would follow these cool influencers and celebs and compare my life to theirs, but now use it for more inspiration, for instance. I have an account that's more of a fashion mood board (my recent passion). I feel more inspired than mentally drained 😊
I'm so excited to see this! Also I love your hair! I have uninstalled half of my social apps for this month, and kept the ones I don't have a negative relationship with, I should do this more often 😁
I've been thinking of doing this before until now because i feel like it is unhealthy in my part already. After watching your video it gave me the urge to do it. You are an inspiration! ❤
Especially the part when u said social media can make one compare thenself to other people and therefore making them feel so incomplete. Inadequate. Like I’m not doing enough when before I compared myself to that person, I was just fine. U hit the mark with me on that one. Thank u for pointing it out lol. This is a good challenge. I will do it too!
i've been doing this kind of thing for 2 weeks now, specifically for insta and twitter. i didn't want to uninstall the app just in case i really need to use it, so what i did was logging out all my accounts and since i have a really long password i'd be really lazy to type the password and logging back in lol. it kinda worked for me😁
Love this!! Couple of years ago I quit social media for a while, about 6 months, now I left facebook for good, because I felt people lied so much, they share lifes they didn't had, and judge me for the life they believed I have. The worst part was most of people just "know" things from me through facebook, and they assumed that just what was posted was the things that happened to me. So I decided I want to share my life just with the people who care enough to call, or visit, and not just see if I posted that I'm happy or I'm sad. This happened to me while I was fighting the worst days of my depression, and it was really healing just surounded myself with loved and caring people.
Now I keep my facebook account just to safe old pictures, and be active in groups like Lavendaire. But I prefer Instagram, because I love photography, and I think is still a nice enviroment. Besides I use that social app a lot because I share a blog with a friend, about topics of interest for women, working in that blog as a hobby also was really healing.
Thank you for makes us aware of this tiny things that make a lot of impact y our daily lives.
Hugs from Chile!
Ahh no way!🙌🏻 I’m in the midst of a social media detox! I’m deleting Instagram/FB/Twitter/Snapchat for 100 days, and it’s only like day 20 I think? But it feels like I have infinitely more time every day. (Still go through withdrawals of wanting to scroll, but overall it’s been amazing) so psyched to watch your experience with this!
can I just start by saying that your hair looks amazing? really, I'm in love! secondly, I love how you handled a social detox. I've gotten into the habit of not checking my phone for at least an hour and a half after waking up (I just look real quick to see if there's any emergency calls / texts). but I tend to wake up, do my whole morning routine AND THEN go on social media. I fell more centered that way!
Love this idea. I'm definitely going to try this!! I always stay off my phone as soon as I wake up, and before bed. I notice I feel a lot less anxious!
I have very few apps on my iPhone but I do find myself going to my gmail and Facebook account throughout the day when I could be playing with Natalie or doing work in the home, so I have been cutting back and we both love that.
Thank you for the video, Aileen!
I've recently downloaded Space to track time I spend on the phone and its statistics is just overwhelming. Turns out I can spend from 5 to 6 hours on social media, scrolling through memes and funny pictures with cats 😅. This made me want to be more aware of what I spend my life on.
The idea to take a break from social media at least monthly is great. I think we all need to remember about off-line life and get rid of the Internet addiction :)
I've quit Facebook and Instagram for over a month now and I feel like such a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. It was hard at first, but it just made me realize even more how dependent I was of it. Now, I also try to limit RUclips so my dependence doesn't just shift to it. So far, so good!
This is such a good idea, we all need a break from social media from time to time. ❤
your video is very inspired for me thank youuuuuu❤️❤️❤️ and by the way im already deactivated social media for one week and it’s make me feel so better than before.
Great idea! I find it hard not to check instagram in the mornings too, but I try my best because it's so much better for me.
What I've done is delete the instagram app and then anytime I want to use it I have to redownload it. Then I'll be like na, not worth it and not even check it lol.
Perfect...my screen time history made me so scared....I spend around 5-5.5 hours on my phone😳😔🤦🏼♀️time to detox n then keep up with cutting down the hours
Edit for 🙌
Already down by 1 and a half hours. Thanks Aileen 😍
Great video👌,this challenge will make me to use my phone rarely
Thanks for making people thinking about real life and the real happiness 💜
Ilysm 💜
For challenge 🙌
This video really made my week productive because social media hampers my studies and after watching this video I tried to follow the steps that r been showed and I am trying my best to be productive like this.....
Thank u soo much Aileen 💖
I love your youtube acc, you're such a inspiring person and you help me to get my life back on track and to improve myself. And I absolutely love how everything is falling in it's place and just the peace I feel, it's amazing ❤️
I'm Thai and I've just found your channel. I really like to watch each video of yours. I'm not fluent to speak or make the sentences in english because I'm a beginner and I'm improving my english skills. Thank you for making very very good video for everyone. I think I can improve my english skills from your video and have a good attitude to doing something better. Ps. It's my first time for comment on youtube.
I deleted all social media expect Snapchat (a few months ago) because of time I used to waste on my phone. I was also inspired by all the minimalism videos I watched and by some “self-help” videos. I got back twitter on my phone recently and I used it very little but then one day I found myself comparing myself to someone and deleted it immediately. I’ve definitely used my phone less and and I feel so much better mentally. Defo recommended.
I honestly love this challenge! I haven't seen or met anyone who thought quitting social media was beneficial; I've been doing for a little less than a month because personally i don't find any reason for me to use social media, i don't post anything and i don't need to browse to pictures form friends or strangers. I've gotten into the habit of asking my loved ones how are they in person, unless we can't see each other that often. Also i've realized that looking at this ''goal'' pictures on instagram was making me compare myself to them and that made me insecure and sad; yeah, it's been lonely but i've found other forms of company that made even happier than i was before, not mentioning i became more productive and started to use some social medias for that same porpuse.
I used to use Pinterest, Instagram, We Heart It and RUclips, now i only use RUclips to watch some intertaning videos and more mindfulnes videos like this, so thank you for making it!
This actually inspired me to really get off social media!! Lol Thanks Aileen!! I already deleted my facebook and twitter app a year ago. However, i sometimes get tempted to check these social media sites and I end up searching it on safari using my phone :( Well, I guess it's time to be more serious about it now! I also downloaded the space app! Thank you Aileen! Absolutely love this video! Keep Shining!
Watching your videos and listening to your podcast since 2 days ago. I love how you inspire other women 💕 I am a fan from the Philippines 🇵🇭😅 and I have also deactivated may social media accts except RUclips 😅 and it is the best decision during this quarantine.
Definitely want to do this-waste so many hours aimlessy scrolling and often comparing. So true that it's a lot easy to stay off social media when you have have to go out and do things haha!
Definitely worth to try it. The moment I wake up I check my phone and listen to music and the last thing I do is check my phone and trying to sleep because I want to check my phone one last time. Thanks for the video
Everything in this channel is so cute! The colours are light... love it!

General rules:
Delete facebook
Not even touching the phone as much as possible.
Thank you so much mam for your motivation and trial.
Love you to core.😍
Hey Lavendaire! I love your hair, it is so pretty! It looks like it has a light silver color with streaks of blonde and light purple! It is gorgeous! 😍😍😍😍😍
Unintentional but yeah 😋
Hey Aileen, may your journey be a strong one. I believe in you!
Sinec the moment that I reduce the amount of using social media . I feel myself as a person who lives his own life and without bothering myself by asking myself what that person is doing or having and the list goes on . just non-sense thinking for nothing potential is needed if anyone is using social media . Love you and keep it up 💜💜 .
I’m doing a social detox and I’m day three. As a 17 year girl, I’m always in social media (Instagram and Snapchat) looking a girls or news bc I’m an activist. And honestly, looking through my Instagram is so uninspiring. So many heart broken news and people and it just makes me have negativity. But now that I’ve been off them, I can see changes even though I’m on day 3. I’m less stressed, I’m not procrastinating as much and I’m getting great sleep. So I would definitely recommend doing a social detox even tho it’s hard.
I deleted my instagram account as well as my twitter account and life is much better without social media. I have a lot of time to focus more on my hobbies now. Less negativity and toxic people in life. At first you will struggle but if you finally find your peace you'll say that you made the right decision☺️
Ilysm💟💖💗You and your channel is so beautiful. Your nature, goals and ideas are so smart and helpful for me and so many more people in their everyday lives. Pls keep up the good work and continue to make everyones day. XOXO😘😜😊💕P.S i'm also going to try this❤
ive done this quite alot of times!! it made me feel so much better, so much control!
You are love and inspiration ❤ i have recently subscribed in your channel but i am soo happy that my cousin suggested me to do it....i am now learning new things and have a big desire to change things in my life and just be where i want to be thinking positively and trying hard cause like you said in one of your videos i sometimes lose interes about things as soon as i try them several times and now i will try to fix this thing....❤❤
i've been doin social media detox for a month, and it feels so great! I dont have to check my phone everytime i woke up. And i'd rather do something more productive than checking my phone
🙌 been doing this but always failed 😩 and now after watching your video i am motivated to do it again so hopefully i won't be stuck looking at my phone and instead do things that are productive 😊
the screen time update to ios has been so eye opening!
I have given up my social medias for the whole of September k
(I don't class RUclips as social media) I am actually not missing it as much as I thought I would! It's actually really refreshing!! 🙌🙌
Hi, I just came across this video today and found it really interesting. I use social media applications such as Facebook, instagram and RUclips on my device and I must admit that I check Facebook and instagram once a month or once every 2 months. I find it that I am highly agitated when I do because it keeps sending notifications every few minutes and it's stressing me out. I do use RUclips a lot though to watch videos. I can confidently say that I am happier and healthier since I decided to quit social media (I used to be addicted to it a few years ago and realized that it was making me sad) exactly what you said you get the feeling that you're not good enough or not doing enough compared to other people and that's a feeling I really don't need in my life
I was once doing it for 2 weeks, and it feels amazing!!. Now after watching this, i want to try it again 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Went without my phone for just under two weeks when I was on holiday and I felt so much better and started to take up swing dancing and I then felt so much better starting school. 😊
I used to be addicted to my phone and used it 6+ hours a day and so I gave up my phone completely and havent used it for three months :)
yayyyy!! this is something i need. but i need to completely be off social media. even using my laptop or computer unlike aileen. but i totally understand why she needs facebook and instagram. u did a really good job aileen! ur subscribers r proud of u 😂💗💞💎🙌🏻
Exactly the kind of reminder and motivation I needed before starting a new school year! Thank you Lavendaire 🙌🏻❤️
Hey, I did try Facebook detox for about 2weeks and it really cleared my mind.
After that, I'm still using Facebook until now but in a much more responsible and milder way as well 😍
I saw you have the Forest App on your phone. I have this app too and it’s super helpful for times when I absolutely NEED to stay off my phone. What is it about that little virtual tree growing that is motivation to get work done?? This video was very encouraging! Can’t wait to see how my own detox goes this week :)
I've been doing a Instagram Detox because I've felt kinda bad every time I watched stories of people. Comparing my life to theirs. So I just stopped watching everyone's stories and rather checked on regular posts once a day. I feel a lot better that way 🙌
I thinks once you understand that all of it is staged and big instagrammers dont live this amazing life then its a lot easier to enjoy their accounts and get inspiration rather than just envy! :)
I actually didn't refer to social media influencers! I don't really care about those. She is literally one of the few I follow simply because she's inspirational :) I meant people you know in real life, but that aren't necessarily close friends. But I do know that a lot is staged, I think that's why I tend to not really like 'influencers' except those that are really inspirational. But it's a good point though!
this came in so perfectly! I feel totally the same. Thank you Aileen ❤
