I just did this and there is no warning on my truck. Turned it off and on twice, went into reverse both times, no warning! Soooooooo much better!

Cool. Looks like they’ve done a software update in the last 2 years.

Is it 12 or 24V? We would like to plug a louder backup alarm for construction site and I was thinking of using that plug. Thanks!

How do you put the truck in reverse without it moving?

      Emergency brake

This is exactly what I was looking for! I don't think need it by law, the manufacturer just has to put one on.
It's like the 3rd break light or backup camera, required by law for a new vehicle, but every truck comes with a cap for when you remove the tailgate.

With this unplugged you will receive a warning on the dash every time you start the truck

@M-10 Built thanks for the heads up, I just wanted to put some tape and/or cardboard and quiet it down a bit. I like the idea of it making sound but I woke people up just by putting it in reverse more than once. I wish it had a sound meter and automatically adjusted how loud it was based on the environment.

Compared to the ungodly racket we hear when we open/close the frunk, the backup chime is infinitely more pleasing. I barely even hear it, but I'm getting old.
