    This episode tells us all we need to know about Matt, the mechanical scientist.
    He starts out with a theory “Can this engine be saved, will it run?” Then comes a series of experiments in which he collaborates with others and tries the suggestion to enlarge the intake and force more air in using a leaf blower, using ether as fuel. “Try again, fail again. Fail better.” Must admire work ethic, keeps trying. Then total joy at success, engine saved.
    We also learn that anything Matt send to scrap yard is absolutely, truly not able to be salvaged, must melt. Whatta’ guy, must subscribe! 😅

    Loved this adventure. Leaf blower was genius! Wondering, ever think of hiring a young guy who wants hands-on experience other than high school shop as an assistant? I know you can do it all, but a second set of hands might be fun. Also, an entertaining addition to the program. I know, insurance and OSHA, but free labor might offset those? Anyway, kid could be OSHA and you could continue your mad scientist fun and it would be a fun contrast.

    Hey Matt, it's great you got the engine running and the rest of the video was like watching a surgeon harvesting body parts from some person who has "Organ Donor" on their drivers' license. You also showed another use for a hardhat, as a dustpan!. And the last part of the video you remind me a mean older brother who goes around breaking up his younger brother's toys. Good video, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Say hey to Ms. Eva and your 4 legged children and Cheers from this old; retired coot who's still living the dream in Tennessee.

  • @TgWags69
    @TgWags69 Месяц назад +4

    With a hole directly into the engine and no valves, there is nothing to prevent blow back except the air pressure from the leaf blower. I would 199% expect that to happen. I figured the whole blower would just explode by itself by getting a spark from the electric motor.
