With everything that's going on in the world right now, there's nothing like getting into some waves and surf to take us away from it all. Self-isolation in some deep barrels is a valid way of social distancing!
I love exploring new waves in new locations and I love bring my viewers along my journey. Sometimes it get's sketchy as some of the waves I surf (shallow reefs, dry reefs, deep ocean slabs) get pretty gnarly. Frustrating to watch and believe me I haven’t been out there before but I’ve been in situations like this… tide issues a lot of water moving… does look a bit like rookie hour out there too tho! Awesome footage as usual, big Willy!

Definitely Dave.!! He'd be about 102 now but still showed that young crew how. No backhand for Dave anymore. In the 90s those bombs would have all been backhand knee. Best part of 20yrs since I been for an island surf. I AM RUSH MAN.

Wrong swell, tide's too low & ... why? Boogies are taking off on Surge, board riders pretty much have no chance (maybe the odd one from the south).

Back in the 80s on the east coast of Australia we used to get giant powerfull cyclone generated swells sweep down from Queensland hollow glassy (20ft 30ft) surf all the time in the summer time how times have changed not for the better that's for sure.now days you need a massive storm like the east coast is experiencing at the moment to get anything of size and even then it's just large shitty fat closeout crap.

I miss the days of turning up to the beach on a hot summer time day on a low tide and having to walk a mile across the burning Sands with you burning feet before you hit the cool relieving waters of the ocean.
