    Breast stroke is fun. When you nail the kick and feel the result in the glide phase, the first stroke after the turn, off the wall, the full pull, the breakout for the first breath... and kick!

    Kindly do a video on how to take out the head for breathing that faster. I've tried everything but I can't get it 😭. It's either my hips will sink or I'll drink water or sink completely 😂

    I have been watching dozens of breaststroke videos on getting my coordination down, but I still need to work on getting my feet flexed up to the hips to kick right before the glide. I'm getting frustrated from my lack of coordination after so many attempts. I'll keep working on it though! Great video!

      In my early 70's now and getting back into swimming. All those years of kick same time as arms recover is making it difficult to get my brain to accept the 'late' kick as taught nowadays to have a good glide. I'll get there though ..... eventually.

    Looking for tips on how natural floaters can do breaststroke. I know what to do with my legs and arms. I have tried just coming out of the water to my chin, and up to my chest, yet my legs stay parallel in the water, they do not sink so my whip kick is not under the water but at surface level and is ineffective.

    A good sternum: keeps power straight - ahead. Hence; best way - only, and kick / stroke. Keeps - head - in best postion - eyes - throat. It maps - vessels for: the only -- best O2 collects. Spine - is really relaxed - guts. It favors - hold the breath -- more than!

      I heard that usually you are either strong in breaststroke or strong in butterfly. It's not likely to be strong in both. Doesn't mean you can't do both, but one will usually prevail over the other.

    I was an age group swimmer 1959 to 70 and college swimmer 70-74. I returned to Masters Swimming 2008 to present. Still trying to learn how to engage my hips lunging forward on the arm recovery to get my body position correct. Hard to teach old dogs new tricks. What do you recommend?

    • @FaresKsebati
      @FaresKsebati  8 месяцев назад

      Try drills like butterfly kick with breaststroke arms, or take two strokes butterfly then two strokes breaststroke - these will help you engage your core and get the timing right too!

    My hips always sink when I'm pushing up and my head doesn't go above the water. I'm natural sinker. How do I overcome this problem?

    • @FaresKsebati
      @FaresKsebati  3 года назад +3

      Press your chest down and keep your eyes down! Usually when your hips sink it's because your upper body is too high. Focus on getting into a streamline every stroke and "swimming downhill."

    • @FaresKsebati
      @FaresKsebati  2 года назад

      Hi there! A common phrase swim instructors use in the United States to teach breaststroke is "pull - kick - glide". You can also try drills like 1 pull/2 kicks to get the feeling down. Hope this helps!
