    I am learning breast stroke and have watched more than 10 tutorial videos. This is the best tutorial I have seen so far, the best explanation which breaks down to the very detail, also gives you very specific drills to practice...simply awesome! thanks Chloe!!!!!!!

    your video was so helpful, i have regionals coming up and im swimming 100 BR so im trying to find a lot of good tips on how to increase my speed.

  • @jcuvier135
    @jcuvier135 7 лет назад +5

    Some good points. I don't do this stroke for speed, but I'm always looking to improve my efficiency. I love this stroke because I can do it all day long - partly because the glide is my favorite part, too. I drag my glide out for a gooooood loooonnnnnggg time!

    I watch videos until I find someone that can put it in the right context. I used to be a Lifeguard a long time ago but never learned proper stroke. Thanks for the Breast Stroke video, as soon as I went to the pool, I could transfer that knowledge into action. Great video explanation. I will also spend time on the drills.

    Awesome video! Each time I watch it I pick-up on something new. One thing for such the breast stroke and butterfly stroke have many things in common. As I keep improving my breast stroke my butterfly stroke keep improving surely because of a better position in the water. Thank you for sharing you are a sweetheart Chloe!

    best explanation and technique I have found on youtube so far, very well explained. The only thing Im missing is how should I keep my head and neck whilst swimming, after a longer swim my neck tends to go sore. Should I keep my back straight all the time to swim as close to the surface as possible? Thanks.

    Chloe, thank you for the great video! Could you please clarify the angle/best head position? Always look down (which helps raise hips up) or raise head slightly looking forward to take breath and quickly tuck between arms when striking forward? My son was taught to hold it down and mostly stationary all the time to avoid lost energy on bobbing head, almost like looking into the surface like a mirror without seeing the end of the pool.This helps to keep hips on surface and go into streamline faster. But his new club swimmers appear to "swim with their head" with face looking forward on breath with more bobbing up and down and more pronounced angulation. Club says he needs to look up on breath to remove tension from shoulders. But my son is having problem with turning face down and tucking it in between arms on time, unless he keeps head relatively stationary all the time. What's the right approach to it, do we need now to train it over again, to raise face up and down? I am a little confused

    I have never been able to get my chest high out of the water, and after watching this and working on the out sweep and in sweep I was looking like I knew how to swim!!! Even the life guard complimented me on great swimming...I must say doing the stroke correct sure is a tough burn on the shoulders, maybe thats y I have always done it in correctly, cuz doing it right burns like crazy.
