    Actually ive used braids in my hair for years and recently discovered that fabric softener keeps it soft for a longer period of time as well as smelling really good.

    • @cattyblue21
      @cattyblue21 9 лет назад

      Pls can you explain how you use the fabric softner

    • @Bossyblonde1
      @Bossyblonde1 9 лет назад +3

      Im currently using Downy Aroma Floral, fill the cap with the fabric softner to an 8oz cup of water. If u have lots of hair just double the mixture, pour it into the hair and massage it in. The hair becomes soft and it smells amazing! :)

    I tried fabric softener on my synthetic braids and it worked like a charm my hair look new and fresh again so thank you for the recommendation. I also have not had to spray my hair with fabric softener for at least 3 days is still soft and manageable so thanks again

      curvesonthemove Hey, I use Vigorol 's alcohol free Olive oil mousse & Sta-so-fro on my wavy & curly types of synthetic hairs. It Keeps them soft with a nice sheen....I hate oil sheen, but will use an oil fee wig shine.

    Actually it looks better the older it gets, looks natural to be honest. Love the style. oh, lotion is very good for synthetic hair as well as fabric softener.., but don't use ANYTHING WITH KERATIN OR PROTIEN IN IT. IT WILL BEAK THE SYNTHETIC FABRIC DOWN.

  • @ddmcnebb
    @ddmcnebb 9 лет назад +1

    I hv tried fabric softener on free tress bohemian & it was softer & easier to detangle just like my niece baby dolls. When I get some new new curly synthetic hair I separate the curls w/activator instead of gel so it stays soft & sets into the curl i just split it into.
    All synthetic hair loves water & most activator is water based. Don't use anything expensive. Stick to Carefree, S-curl, proline...but don't use wave nouveau bc it will tk ur hair out eventually. I noticed when I use the activator to separate the curl there was a huge reduction in matting & dryness. I did an install (Aruba Curl) on a friend bk in December (washed & all) & it still looks fresh thx 2 S-Curl & tightening her edges 1x/month
    Great color choice & pattern for ur face & skin tone.

    My stylist told me no Water lol so I don't put any water on it. I put coconut oil for my roots but for the synthetic hair I use Organic Olive Oil sheen spray for the hair. Every night I double twist my hair and I wrap it with a silk scarf. The hair I have is the Harlem 125 Ripple Deep I had it put in January 23rd and it still looks great. Scalp does not itch I love I'm expecting to keep it in by the last week in march and then put it back in April.

    • @curvesonthemove
      @curvesonthemove  9 лет назад

      Ok awesome! I just install ripple deep! And I love it! Hopefully I can keep this one in longer with better maintenance.

    • @GGSoneBAPBaby
      @GGSoneBAPBaby 9 лет назад

      curvesonthemove also when your double twisting don't pull on your hair to hard that can cause it to pull the cornrows you put in....and make sure to keep your roots moisturized so when you take it out it does your hair isn't brittle. Especially with spring on its way I don't know where you live but where I am the weather is starting to warm up and the crochet braids I just took out ...miss them already but will not put them back in till late fall, but if you don't sweat like me (like a did 4hr marathon) then keep doing the crochet braids. It has become my new favorite style for life :) keep me updated on your process. love Peace and Hair Grease

    FreeTress brand of hair is way better. All I did was put any cheap or expensive hair moisturizer on browning or night. At least once a day, and sleep with your hair anyway. I had some in for up to nine weeks. Washed my hair with my usual co wash every week, shampoo once a month. Hair was still fine. I slept with whatever hair style I shared. I twisted my hair at least twice in three weeks so that my curls could be replenished. My hair was fine. Homework time which is usually one to two in a half hours. I would put in a hair mask I my hair once or twice. A homemade one with eggs milk and olive oil. Eww! I know hurt it helps. 😂😂😂 its sound disgusting but it works so well. But yea that's all I did over almost three months not much when you think of it as that. I did straighten it and a hot comb (yes so old school) works best on the hair. Use a liquid heat protectant. And use a leave in conditioner a conditioner or a moisturizer to de tangle your hair. No oil! Okay that's it. Keep it in longer for the better my hair grower two inches! 😝😱😸 Kay, hopefully this helped. 👸🏾👸🏾👸🏾 Oh remember to oil your scalp after a wash so your hair can remain healthy. 💆🏾💆🏾💆🏾

    Yeah, you should get a silk scarf/bonnet. Aruba curl braid 20 is good. I have it and love it. Yes you should separate the hair every night... Also try adding curls to it. Like flexi rods.. To moisten the hair try hair moose and water....

    I was going to make a suggestion sense you like big hair I do to, you should try FreeTress Equal Synthetic Hair Braids Aruba Curl Braid 20". You can buy it at
    Samsbeauty.com I use water and hair mousse in my hair for the three weeks I rock my braids. The type of hair mousse i buy is Smooth'n Shine polishing curl up mousse can be found at target. another kind i buy that works well from dollar tree is perfect purity hair mousse. Plus I twist and tight down my hair every night to keep the curls nice.

    GREAT video! I lmixed the Kima Brazilian & Ripple in crochet braids and really liked it. Have you tried BRX Braid spray by Bronner Bros? It works well on synthetic hair and Walmart in my area sells it for only $2.88. P.S. Thanks for the inspirational message.

      Su Dorley, I helped me quite a bit but you will still get a little tangle not much. I made sure that I oiled it about 2x a week. Section the hair out, put the cream in the palm of your hand and apply it to each section. you will love the hair. its so soft.
