thanks so much - this is my first proper blender build and not only is it awsome to look at it helped me learn the short cuts and cool things to do on a blender model
Great tutorial! Thank you so much! I'm a noob to Blender, but I was able to follow along and keep up with everything you said. More importantly, everything you told me to do WORKED! I have watched so many tutorials where the person said to do XYZ. I do X, feel more confident, fly through Y all cocky, and then get to Z, which apparently doesn't exist anymore since the new update. So I wind up with a half-ass project (I still save it to come back to later, though). My sword came out pretty awesome. Only thing is that it's HUGE. Tried to append it into another project with human models, and it looks like a skyscraper. AND it froze the program. So now I have to go back into the sword and resize it by around 3%. But thank you again!!!
Thank you so much! I didn't really make the sword but I used your tutorial to get the textures on my own sword to look good. Thanks to you, it looks great now!
Instead of Ctrl-T and selecting image by image, save your time and press Ctrl-Shift-T instead. Select all images at once at have them properly added to the shader editor.
i love this!!! i made my first badass project in Blender i can’t wait to make more bigger projects!! (or maybe more complex weapons) thank you for the help!!
Great tutorial, glad I found it, but I have 1 slight issue. I had made my own dagger going off of what you taught here, but when I applied the texture to the blade, the last section of the point had gotten flipped 90 degrees. It doesn't look terrible, but you can easily tell something isn't right
Manyou are a rockstar thank you so very much for these videos ive always wanted to do 3d modeling ... this gives a great idea my sword ended up different but i am tempted to put it in skyrim lol
ik im abit late but when i press z at the start of the shading tutirial my blade is always black till i go back to the normal shading view and them i can seee the metal???
For some reason, i can't install the leather texture zip file. :( any fixes for this or maybe another link for a different leather texture? making a fantasy RPG game and I really liked the way it looks.
so one question i have all the lighting work ... when you put your model into your game do you take away all the lighting and let the game handle lighting?
hi i did not do the same of the part 1 video and did my one sword however my handle texture is getting stretch where i did ctl b or something any idea how to fix?
I tried using the Metal and Leather combinations on my own creations and everytime i use the metal, the Blade of my Sword somehow looks like it's been stretched. It somehow looks like its metal, but there are a lot of stripes. Any Idea where i messed up?
Good tutorials, and all. But not to be picky, but you speak fast as hell, bro. Seems like you have a gun pointed at you. Had to reduce the video speed lmao. Edit: Also, the 2k Png has no Leather Normal included.

Great and pretty easy tutorial, even if you know only basics of blender :)
i would use 1 wide area light for the rim
Is it on purpose you leave Dsiplacement map and normal as sRGB Colorspace ? Shouldn't you use Non-Color instead ?
thank you
the links to the textures are no more and when i use my own textures i downloaded, they do not show up when i add them.
This a very good tutorial, i learned a lot
ik im abit late but when i press z at the start of the shading tutirial my blade is always black till i go back to the normal shading view and them i can seee the metal???

try using shade auto smooth, if you already haven't figured it out by now.
How would I bake these textures?
gg bro
where do you got that ad on
It's already in blender just search and enable it
@@tsvirus_7548 yeah i did it but still thanks
Naice.

Blade's material actually looks like concrete
That's some shiny concrete.
I dont know what your concrete looks like but that doesn't look like it to me chief
u r over-uploader
