One of the most comprehensive iphone 14 camera review comparisoon I've seen so far. Kudos!
Really well made but super saf is still the norm
Nice comparison! The 14 seems to be a small incremental improvement over the 13, but the Action mode is something worth considering. I hope they improve further in the cinematic mode though.
Interesting but not convincing to upgrade this year from a 13 Pro.
The 13 Pro camera is still excellent, I agree. But, year over year camera upgrades are always incremental, so those with older models that are upgrading will appreciate it.
Even if it was a bigger jump, upgrading a phone yearly is just stupid as hell.
A nice upgrade next year hopefully will be from lightning to USB C, file transfer of ProRes data is very slow on my v13. Last year I have upgraded from the iphone6 to 13.
I ordered the 14 pro and have been messing with it for a few days really undecided on whether to return or not with all these reviews, (have 13 pro), but then I played a song and omg the speaker is a major improvement and totally worth it for me. Music sounds soo much better and clearer/fuller. Also the clarity of text or image along with brightness much better👍🏽not saying worth the upgrade still but to me it is, Espec with increased editing speeds which I’m noticing in lightroom
@@rachel7550 increased editing speeds 😂 I’ve seen a comparison and the difference is practically negligible. Very expensive upgrade for a louder speaker 😂
3:47 wide camera low light -- this alone sold me on the 14 Pro over the 13 Pro.
4:12 telephoto lowlight and 8:17 improved OIS were just icing on the avalanche. Or whatever metaphor souffle I mean.

The reason why the focal lengths look the same between both cameras on the main sensor is because the 14 Pro has enhanced stabilization enabled by default in Settings. Turning off this option will offer a slightly wider angle of view for video.
@@MountMediaChannel I can turn it off on my 14 Pro.
I can also turn off enhanced stabilization in settings. It would be interesting to know if the detail/sharpness would increase by turning it off because then there would be no additional zoom.

@@MountMediaChannel I am very skeptical of the comparison at 3:32. The low light video quality and noise difference seems to be too huge to be true. Are you sure you did not accidentally take the video on the 13 Pro with the ultra-wide lense? Other reviewers low light videos don't show this big of a difference so this is quite weird...that kind of improvement would be normally seen between multiple generations...
@@valtterim6269 I understand what you mean, but the shot was definitely taken with the main camera. It's relatively easy to tell from the field of view.

Thinking of upgrading from my 12 to 13 pro max cuz I heard its battery is insane!! It wont be cheap though. Something around 650 dollars in my country. Should I do this?

In the iPhone 14 I was expecting a fast USB-C port which is very useful for transferring video footage. Apple didn’t. I think I will go for a cheaper iPhone 13 Pro.

The dynamic island the big notch has gotten bigger there’s no way I would buy the iPhone 14 with that big notch at the top of the display
@3:04 - skin tone in 14 Pro is more............ yellowish / warm - 13 Pro is more cold

i am in for 14 Pro due to the action mode. It works as stable as action cam like Gopro with no distorted edges now. Also better in low light condition compared to any Action Cam in the market.
Just not safe enough for underwater as Action cam.
Every year I upgrade my iPhone but it feels like this year is a joke few tweaks here and there is not convincing anymore, so that being said I'll pass the iphone 14 pro max this year and we'll see what iphone 15 pro max would bring...
Great job for this excellent and detailed comparison for video recording, just the one we needed. Wish Apple have changed the lens glass on iPhone 14 to eliminate these green dots caused by reflections and floating around on videos. They have ruined many shots, especially during the night. That's quite unacceptable for a 1400€ device with minimal improvements compared to the previous 13 pro...
Although he did compare 14 Pro with 13 Pro, but most consumers aren't upgrading in that order though. Most of them come from older generations such as 11 or much older device. Also 14 or 14 Plus will be the best for most consumers. It all comes down to preferences.

Yes this is over exposed, it’s a known problem on the iphones. I think they can change this with softer

I did too, but I bit the bullet and bought the 14 pro Max- totally different experience… they have included a new photo processing system entirely and the quality of images is vastly improved over my 13 pro max. I also got $1050 AUD (half off) with a trade in!

@@SidneyXda on my 13 pro max it was 98% when I traded it and the 14 PM is obviously 100 as I’ve had it about 12 days.
I used my 13PM frequently throughout the day, RUclips, music streaming, etc and got to 10pm most days needing a charge from use beginning around 9:30 am
My 14pm needs a charge around midnight from a 9:30am start. Even with the always on display on

12 MP vs. 48 MP, I thought it’d be a huge difference, but barely, very disappointing, not upgrading.

There's no difference when you won't edit the RAW and no reason to shoot in RAW if you won't edit it
48mp raw is for editing and if you wan’t to print you photos on size 1meter X 2 meter.
I don't get why you'd want to magnify pictures to see which is better. It's a point and shoot.

I have 10 yrar old canon 6D. I don't see much improvements in pure image quality aspect. Anything else is much better in modern cameras. I wonder if someday they will introduce interchangeable lenses.

Can you tell us how to turn off the auto enhancement on iPhone 13 Pro Max I did all things like off the HDR and on the burst mode but it is not working

I can't stand the over-sharping of these photos... I wish it could've been turned off.
Seems unreasonable, to me, that in order to avoid this post-processing atrociousness I'm forced to take a slow & huge (~75Mb) RAW!
