I don’t care about none of that keeping my iPhone 13pro maxx in I got the S22 ultra it’s not much they can do with phones just little upgrades that’s all
13 pro max is the best phone I've ever used. I can only complain about camera in dark environments, other than that its golden. Bought it at launch and battery life is still awesome, 7-8 hours SOT easily
Other than new colors and the Dynamic Island 🏝️ there’s no need to get a 14 Pro series iPhone. As a matter of fact, the iPhone 13 Pro Max has incredible battery life. And the camera performance trades blows with the 14 Pro series iPhones.
The 13 promax is still superior, it has the best battery life out of any iPhone ever. The iPhone 13 series was great, Apple got everything right with them.
Thanks for the year later review. It helps keep things into perspective for those in the ecosystem thinking of upgrading. My partner still rocks the 13PM and will skip an upgrade this and probably next year. As a 14PM user, I get it completely and will probably do the same, even when the 16 comes out. This is painful for a techie like me, but it's the prudent thing to do eco- and finance-wise.
I still got the 13 Pro Max and holding into it. This phone is still better than it’s successor, it has the same performance overall and has the best battery ever in an iPhone. Dynamic island is gimmicky and that’s only the difference that distinguishes the two from each other. I’d say, I will only upgrade once they totally and completely removed the dynamic island xD
If the 15 Pro Max doesn't considerably upgrade battery, I'm just going to replace the 13 PM battery and keep it another year. Especially with rumored price increases.
I upgraded my 6-year old 6s Plus to 14PM because of degraded battery health. I’m happy with my new phone and the only issue is its battery health which is now in 90% after using it for almost 11 months.
Oh yes definitely. 14 PM have an issue with degrading battery. I myself am sitting at 89% after 12 months. My iphone 8 plus after 5 years is still at 82 LOL
My 14 pm is at 100% even after 11 months because i didn’t use a case on it. Compared to my 13 pm it had 89% after a year with case. Phone cases are destroying batteries because of over heat issue while using a case.

Yes but the 14 pro is much brighter outside in direct sun. My 13 pro suffers overheating while scrolling Facebook or safari yet the 14 pro does not overheat. The 12 and 13 mini suffer overheating too. When that happens, the brightness goes way down. Can’t see nothing outside in the sun. Other then that, it’s my only real complaints.
Since every single mobile phone in the 15 series will have the dynamic island and developers will therefore focus more on it, it makes sense to buy the 14 pro max.

Idc about the dynamic island, but the always on display in my opinion is reason enough in my opinion. That’s the only reason why I got the 14 pm and not 13 pm when I replaced my mini.
I love my 14PM but i do miss my 13PM. I agree it feels like you're using the same phone, no big difference. I won't upgrade to 15PM this year. I'll just wait until it is reasonable to upgrade.
I love my 13 pro max, I bought it new from the Apple Store in February 2022. It still feels new to me. I’ll keep it until it no longer works. If I’m paying over $1000 I’m gonna use it till it doesn’t work anymore.

On a phone with a notch, if you play a youtube video on portrait mode, the top of the phone blacks out to conceal the notch when ambient mode is off. How does it work on a phone with Dynamic Island?
If the dynamic island is interactive I feel like it should be able to change colors to blend in a little better because it is way more distracting than the notch

I have the 13 pro and my gf have the 14 pro. Theres no difference in terms of performance, no in more than 1 second at least. Dynamic island does nothing, and to me is a downgrade. The only better things is the brigthness of the screen and the better audio. I think ill keep my phone for 2 years more.

I got my iPhone 13 Pro Max last June because I unknowingly was causing my battery issues on my 12 pro max not only that but the closest Apple Store for me is 2 hours and some change away not to mention it’s the top 3 most dangerous cities in the state I live in. Not only that but I’ve heard of horror stories on this platform about how convuled it can be to communicate.

The only reason I'd buy an Apple phone was size, I loathe larger heavy phones so have 13 mini and SE3, SE3 my favourite of the two. If I'd want a larger screen I'd skip Apple altogether, see zero advantages today', unlike years ago.

Dynamic Island is more of a distraction than a feature. Also they just added that just to say that did something “new”. Hope Iphone 15 does not have dynamic distraction.

I will say this the fact that my old iphone 6s WAS FASTER THAN A 3RD GEN IPHONE SE IN WIFI SPEED WAS SHOCKING IM NOT JOKING ACTUALLY If i am correct the wifi speed on the 6s was 35mps WHERE AS ON THE IPHONE SE 12MPS WHICH IS TERRRIBLE
I just bough 14 pro max instead of 13 pro max that I unfortunately drowned in acid... 14's get decent discounts now since 15 is here. There is literally no difference between two apart from dynamic island and camera. But those both features are pretty cool tho! Absolutely love 48mp camera. Totally a BIG upgrade compared to 13. You can crop photos as you wish and quality is still awesome. And I find dynamic island quite useful in some places. Just adds a little comfort with certain things.
if you can get the iphone 14 pm for "free" ( in monthly credits by youre carrier) i would suggest you get it. had a 13pm since it launched and i normally dont take lots of pictures but you can notice the quality in the 14pm
I thought about upgrading to the 15 Pro Max so I can play the new AAA games coming to ios but I saw gameplay of RE4 Remake on the 15 PM and it’s really choppy. Honestly with a new battery my 13 still feels like a flagship phone and the A15 chipset is still one of the best mobile processors on the market

I jumped from 6s plus to 14pm and im really happy with my upgrade. But if you already have 12pm or 13pm i think upgrading to 14pm is not that worthy.

The A15 is already a powerhouse it runs every demanding game with ease or every task even the A12 and the A13 can do that apple chips are amazing

Dynamic island is extremely useful in many cases, whereas the notch on 13 PM is 100% useless. It serves zero purpose on the screen.

The only reason I'd buy an Apple phone was size, I loathe larger heavy phones so have 13 mini and SE3, SE3 my favourite of the two. If I'd want a larger screen I'd skip Apple altogether, see zero advantages today', unlike years ago.
Dynamic Island is honestly amazing. You don’t even understand. I’ve had it then downgraded cuz I went from pro to pro max. I miss Dynamic Island so much. All the reviews say Dynamic Island isn’t worth it but I disagree
Also iPhones 13 pro max is still pretty fast but the animations lag sometimes already with iOS 17. Like randomly jitters. iPhone 14 Pro and 15 pro doesn’t have that issue

It’s so crazy that I’m watching on my iPhone 11 Pro, and in the video or the thumbnail is the iPhone 14 pro max and 13 pro Max and those phones are supposed to get them back then 2021 and 2022 2 years ago and now since I upgraded to a 2019 version 11 pro is that I feel a bit jealous

Dynamic Island is more of a distraction than a feature. Also they just added that just to say that did something “new”. Hope Iphone 15 does not have dynamic distraction.
I like my 13pm except that my screen lags about half the time, especially when answering calls, takes several swipes to open it. Has anyone else had this problem?
I will say this the fact that my old iphone 6s WAS FASTER THAN A 3RD GEN IPHONE SE IN WIFI SPEED WAS SHOCKING IM NOT JOKING ACTUALLY
If i am correct the wifi speed on the 6s was 35mps WHERE AS ON THE IPHONE SE 12MPS WHICH IS TERRRIBLE

I just bough 14 pro max instead of 13 pro max that I unfortunately drowned in acid... 14's get decent discounts now since 15 is here.
There is literally no difference between two apart from dynamic island and camera. But those both features are pretty cool tho! Absolutely love 48mp camera. Totally a BIG upgrade compared to 13. You can crop photos as you wish and quality is still awesome. And I find dynamic island quite useful in some places. Just adds a little comfort with certain things.
The only reason why I want the 14 pro max is the space black color option. Lol
if you can get the iphone 14 pm for "free" ( in monthly credits by youre carrier) i would suggest you get it. had a 13pm since it launched and i normally dont take lots of pictures but you can notice the quality in the 14pm
I expected comparison, damg I've heard that a15 on 13 pros are better in some games due to its stability.
I thought about upgrading to the 15 Pro Max so I can play the new AAA games coming to ios but I saw gameplay of RE4 Remake on the 15 PM and it’s really choppy. Honestly with a new battery my 13 still feels like a flagship phone and the A15 chipset is still one of the best mobile processors on the market
