I get different visual imagined images each time that I spin Bat out of Hell. I listen to it on different conscious altering substances each time. Thus feeling different emotions and imagining different places settings etc. Last time I did I was transported to NJ's WILDWOOD in the summer time. What a trip. Thank you Jim S. R.I.P

I went on 2 dates in college with a guy who was obsessed with Jum and Meatloaf- it was literally the only thing he talked about. These years later I don't recall the guy's name but I am forever grateful to him for introducing me to this musical genius. RIP, Jim, and thanks for the music.

I can almost imagine hearing the songs/melodies from The Bat Out of Hell album echoing off of those beautiful walls. At least I definitely could/can hear them from my radio and stereo. So many great memories came from/went along with, that one album alone. Jim and Meatloaf will always live on

The longer you talked about it, the more I appreciated this home's space and the story of Jim's life. I would describe that home's interior as "ecclectic....where you could ping-pong off of one personal memory and inspiration to another." I was drawn to the matching giant pendant lights hanging from the ceiling (but the round one......not so much).....and that beautiful wood paneling......loved the warm feeling it gives. I had the Bonnie Tyler single (on cassette) and listened to "Total Eclipse of the Heart" over and over during the year following my family's move. I was 16. Change is very difficult for my type of personality (I'm a high S-DISC personality profile and an INFJ in the Meyers-Briggs personality profile), so to have a new home, a new school, & having to make new friends was not good for my creativity. I was spinning my wheels to get traction. It felt like a literal "eclipse" in my life...something us humans all tend to face every once in a while. The summer after I moved was spent floating on my back in the pool, staring at the sky and treetops....listening to bands like Meatloaf, Bonnie Tyler, The Eagles, Journey, Savage Garden, Kansas, Smashing Pumpkins, Gin Blossoms, and my own personal "mix cds". Music can heal.....and Jim's music certainly helped allow me float instead of sink (figuratively speaking).

It awaits for me to buy it and preserve his memory. The way his music moved me , no one has.God had not endowed him with good genes , he had frequently mentioned that he would like to look like Jim Morrison.I was into his chart , he was a helpless romantic.

Had to turn this off before the end as as wonderful as this space and presentation is, i am in a run down house with my kids that i have tried to get out of for years with no success yet. I am autistic and have adhd and living here is killing me. Hearing tou talk about creatives and how we work just made me cry as i haven't drawn or made things such a long time. Its just too sad to listen to x

I like this creative space. I'd be bored to death in aa minimalist environment.
I love Jim Steinman's music, too! I have a Jim Steinman playlist in my iTunes, to which I listened nonstop for a few daysafter I heard of his passing.
My favourite song of his is "Tonight is what it means to be young" from the movie "Streets of fire". I had a wild life in my early 20s, and this song and movie very much reflected my feelings about this life at the time. I'm not young anymore, but this song always brings back the feeling of being young.
