Heh, after my humble upgrade I could play 1080p and 60hz for the first time. Dreaming of 4k and 144hz is still far, far away for me. But it is nice to know! Great video, as usual!
Nice. I thought productivity on high refresh rate monitors just meant circling the mouse cursor around the desktop and staring in awe of how smooth it is.
I like your attitude and your way of explaining things so much I smashed that like button AND left the video to play all the way till the end! Guess RUclips likes that. And even left this comment as well. Way to go, mate
I also recently upgraded to a gaming monitor...sadly, mostly for gaming...However, your video has showed that gaming monitors can be used for so much more! Thanks Dawid!
I really think 1440p 144hz really needs to be a much more available option. It seems to be the perfect balance of resolution and refresh rate, even in ultrawides.
Yeah it really is the perfect middle ground. They are starting to get way more affordable though. You can get options for much less than this viewsonic one.
Always enjoy your reviews. I've got a Dell 27" right now as my primary but kind of want a 2nd monitor that's more of a gamer. This Viewsonic in 24" looks like a great option!
I just got the ViewSonic 144hz 1ms 24inch curved. I use it for video editing and gaming, imnot sure of the rgb color grading specs but I send my footage off to a colorist anyways but for gaming its AMAZING!
That's a nice monitor. I upgraded to a 1440p 144hz G-Sync Dell monitor last year. Only a TN panel, but I only really game on the thing and I'm really happy with the picture. It was super cheap though, a deal I couldn't ignore. High refresh is amazing - once you've experienced it, going back to 60hz absolutely sucks. Oh and 1440p is a sweet spot resolution-wise. My 1080 can drive it comfortably at high+ settings so I'm a happy bunny.
I've had a similar debate of late, still being stuck with a 1080p monitor - 4k monitor will kill my poor RX 570 til GFX card prices even out post-pandemic, so going higher refresh rate seems to make a bit of sense for gaming at this point :)
I have a very strange relationship with your channel my friend. I find myself completely by chance clicking on your videos just based on what I searched up, at least 50 times within 2020. Each session turning into an autoplay session of your videos, which means I may have watched a video already buy not seen the thumbnail. Hence the repeat viewing of your content. Overall 10/10 I finally subscribed my friend.
I recently bought a Samsung 1080p 144 hz monitor with 125% sRGB, and to be honest, I love the colours, QLED is a bit annoying but the contrast is really good, the refresh rate is amazing and the text reproduction is astonishingly bad
Dawid, I hate to say it, but which one is which? I can't tell. (of course on a 15 inch VGA screen that only does 720p I guess my opinion is moot.) OOH! Can't wait for the dremel!
Ah Dawid, how kind of you to publish a monitor video as I'm looking for one. I currently have a 24" Acer G246HL 1080p 60Hz, "5ms" monitor running on a 4770K and 1660 Super. I'm looking for something in the sub $250 range, but I can't make up my mind between 1080p 144Hz and 1440p 60/144Hz. Any recommendations? I'm getting tired of online multiplayer so I'm not feeling as pressed for high refresh rate.
Goeie More! I just bought the ViewSonic VX-76-2K-mhd after I saw it said it's 1440p 75hz, but only after plugging it in saw that it doesn't do 75hz at 1440p... oh well. Back to 60hz for me. Edit: I overclocked it to 75hz at 1440p because that's what I wanted dammit!
Ever heard about somebody who bought an HDR 1000 monitor with... Wait for it.... VA panel? 144Hz, 27 inch and 1440p... For literally 1400PLN which is about 300$... Also don't forget what I said about Firefox. Don't you dare to forget....
For editing yes but for color grading hell no I own 4 LG31MU97 monitors one of the best professional monitors ever built, it's a shame LG no longers builds them.
Ain't nobody needs that 4K on Windows, since as mentioned by Dawid in the video, the scaling is bad in W10. 4K makes sense on a Mac machine tho, since they have done their scaling work well.
I love how Dawid points out the headphone hook and then leaves his headphones on the desk like a savage 😂
Haha!! I do what I want. 😂
Come on now, we all know that if Dawid used it he'd only go and break it.
Agreed
When your spouse comes at you in your video comments 😂❤
Upgrading to a 1440p 144hz monitor is probably the favorite upgrade of my system, helps with editing videos as well :p
It is an awesome standard. 😃

No, sometimes you move a window around and stare at that too

Thats amazing! Thank you very much, that kind of thing helps a lot. 😃

Monitor calibration is very important, sometimes one monitor is worse stock but better once calibrated.
I needed some guidance as photographer/gamer. Appreciate you sharing your insights dude, Thanks.

Thanks for the vid. Literally spent the last few days picking out the my monitor. Thanks for the food for thought.

Great video as always Dawid!

So much info, congrats on the review. Nice thumbnail btw ;D
best monitor I have ever seen
Nice looking monitor. I probably should have a 4k monitor for my editing. But I'm happy with my 1440p ips display.
Oh you really don't need 4k. What you has is perfect. 👍

Ah yes, Dawid compromising. This always gets me going.

nice review sir.. in your opinion , is Dell s2721dgf able to match this viewsonic monitor in term of gaming and editing
Damn what a coincidence, I just moved from a 32", 4K, 60hz, VA, Benq monitor to a 27", 1440p, 165hz, IPS, Aorus one
Yeah, chop that Acer up :D
Have the U2414H! The same one that you have! OC’ed to 66Hz
What do you think a good cheap monitor for editing and gaming at the same time
Goeie More! I just bought the ViewSonic VX-76-2K-mhd after I saw it said it's 1440p 75hz, but only after plugging it in saw that it doesn't do 75hz at 1440p... oh well. Back to 60hz for me.

Use display port
last time i was here he only had 6k subs im glad hes growing so fast
What's a 32 or 34" equivilancy?
Does this come color accurate out of the box or do you need to buy the device to set it up?

What are your thoughts of the this viewsonic vs LG 27GL850-B beisde the Hz
That’s why his beard is more orange! I knew it! 😂
*cries with 75hz*
doesnt people want high refresh rate for gaming mainly ?
For editing yes but for color grading hell no I own 4 LG31MU97 monitors one of the best professional monitors ever built, it's a shame LG no longers builds them.
Can someone please explain what the hey I love so much about his content is so I can, integrate it into my life more often....!?
hello! I am looking for new good monitors so this may be useful!😀
Awesome! Good luck on the hunt. 😁
60hz seems limiting in current times when most tv's hit 120hz
Ain't nobody needs that 4K on Windows, since as mentioned by Dawid in the video, the scaling is bad in W10. 4K makes sense on a Mac machine tho, since they have done their scaling work well.
Obi-WAN or obi-lan?
10 min gang were you at
i like 1440p.
Yeah I don’t have $750 so I’ll buy the $400 one
You can get high refresh rate 1440P gaming monitors with ips displays for $400. The Benq ex270g is a good option.
Dawid Does Tech Stuff thx
!00% color-space is meaningless without calibration
What's with the sound dude? Your audio is normally bang on but it sounds like your recording this in the bathroom...
