    You can help...
Liking a youtube video is a great way to show your support... and in turn, RUclips will show the video to more people... at least that is how I think it works. :)
If you’d like to make a small contribution in support of my work, shouting a cuppa will help me continue to create art, serve, connect and inspire others. Thank you so much for your kindness, I really appreciate it. DD x

I love your paintings. But I think in the first one the diagonal stripes of the chair on the right lead the eyes of the viewer directly out of the painting. The white area in front of the chair enhances the effect. Just my observation.

      Thanks for the tip!
… I was hoping they might lead you in.. or.. the white area is a resting place for the eye.
Learning a lot though.. thanks for your observation. 🤍

I like to add a bit of umber to make a grey

Hi Genie, thank you... I have been amazed at the magic of adding raw umber to pthalo green... it tones it down so beautifully,
Thank you on the tips for greys... I obviously need to do more swatching!
      warm wishes, Denise

@@DeniseDaffara Raw umber is a treat, but the really dark burnt umber - that deep charcoal-brown, is the umber I'm referring to. Mixed with white, Prussian, or cobalt makes a killer warm grey with no red or orange undertones. If you haven't tried it, give it a go! I'll think I'll mix up a batch myself....

Yes. To counteract the greeny colour you add its complimentary, so a dot of red, will give you a neutral colour, then add bits to adjust it to the colour you want. I think you heard me saying ‘Paines Grey’! Lol. Love your thought process though. There’s so much to think about when you’re painting. But gee, those shadows on the first painting - wow! And I just love those colours you used. I thought that painting was very Cressida Campbell. Another Aussie. I see both Cressida and Matisse in your paintings. I really love them.

      I’m using procreate.
Not sure on phone… the simple drawing tool is a start but ..
personally I find phone screen too small.

It’s a black square with a sort of rainbow swish on it… what you’ve mentioned may be usable on phone ? … I’d Google to check.
