    It’s wonderful to watch you paint. Always an inspiration. Especially seeing your happiness upon new discoveries/ideas etc. It can be very hard at times pushing past negative internal voices…But always a marvelous experience working through it. Keep going, Denise. You are appreciated and supported!

      Hi Bonnie,
      Thank you every so much! I would love to do a little bit more cafe sketching... discovering how much EASIER it was with a friend was really fun.... I get beside myself with glee when I see what @sandihester comes up with at her cafe jaunts... and she takes SO MANY ART SUPPLIES!!! hahahaaaa.
      I do hope Patreon is a good fit for me. x cheers.

      .. I’m getting rather curious about Daniel Smith water colours.. especially the dry sticks… @sandihester tantalised me with them in her recent video 🤣

    I just found your channel and love your work. How did you do the first blue part? Is there a video to show that process?

    • @DeniseDaffara

      Welcome Amanda,
      Thank you. ... there may be other videos with the background - try the previous vlog no 40? ... but it's just using a Sennellier ink...(which is apparently not as permanent as I thought... ) and maybe some fluid paint and making a swirly, playful mess on the board... and see what happens next. Use tools to spread the paint... use your fingers... I'm not doing 'tutorial' videos as such at this stage... merely sharing my work.
      I am open to creating classes in the future when I have enough demand for them. Warmest wishes to you, Denise.

    What kind of inks are you using? I personally love the lines showing through, particularly that line going through the tea pot. It grounds the objects to the table itself whereas, often with a bird's eye view painting the objects can appear as though they are untethered.

      Thanks for your helpful thoughts Blue Wren 💙 much appreciated.
      The inks are sennelier and daler rowney
      Prussian blue, indigo. 🌸🌷

      @@DeniseDaffara I didn't mean what brand, but rather are they acrylic inks (which should not run or bleed), alcohol inks, non-water proof water based inks? I'm guessing the last one, so that would be Sennilier Encre inks?

    • @DeniseDaffara
      @DeniseDaffara  4 месяца назад

      @@bluewren65 oh, my misunderstanding, yes I believe it's the Sennilier Encre that bleeds through... I don't think I've had trouble with the FW Daler Rowney acrylic inks. My artist friend and inspirer, @tracyverdugo uses the Daler Rowney acrylic inks with wonderful results.

      @@DeniseDaffara My favourite inks are the Schminke Aero Color- the pigments are so vibrant and they have a very large range of single pigment colours. Golden Hi Flow too has a large range of single pigment colours and they are pretty much neck and neck with Schminke, for me.

    • @DeniseDaffara
      @DeniseDaffara  4 месяца назад

      @@bluewren65 ooohw, this is very good info... thank you. Golden are fab... but I've not experienced the Schminke. Thanks so much.
