Love your tiny collection! I am doing my own IFS work, and I think your use of the two little girls in your work and having them enjoy the tiny gallery is wonderful - a bit of whimsy and sweetness, but also likely powerful healing. An idea for you: create a self-publish mini book of them along with their stories - or maybe as a calendar or greeting cards. I would be a customer! ❤️ I can see why you can’t part with them. Maybe you shouldn’t! Instead, sell prints and giclees, a tiny book! Whatever you decide I will be the first in line!😊
HI Mizzadventure, Thank you, and it's great to hear you connect with IFS too... a growing number of people seem to be connecting with it... what a gift. I was thinking several of these would make a lovely greeting card... I'll make sure to take good photos to have options later. I dream of creating a card deck of some kind... it's a bit of a labour of love i think.. Denise ❤
Lately i have dreamed of having a set of cards called play, to work with my inner child healing, living, feeling. I am in awe of the work you've done. Am going to look into IFS work , sounds intriguing. Keep creating, our world needs it xxoo
@@RussellPoole-b2w Thanks so much for the connection and encouragement. Ohhh, I love the idea of an inner child card deck.... I might hang out with that idea too. There is a book called "No Bad Parts" by Dr Richard Schwartz, all about IFS, it's really wonderful. :)
What a precious collection of such meaningful paintings, and I love the way you have them displayed!!! The paintings are such a wonderful idea! I understand your dilemna in deciding their fate - I would no doubt feel exactly the same! My best wishes to you for continued healing 💙💚💙✨️
Love the stories about the minis. Oh my the face down on the couch with the large triangulated feet. Perhaps you might consider sending the stories off with them to enrich the sale.
Hi Lulabelle, haha... nooo the large triangle is her skirt.. it's pale pink.. her legs continue out of the frame lol. I think that is a gorgeous idea... to send the stories out with the paintings... my dear sister already has reserved one and requested the little story! so there you go... great minds! Denise x
What a magical video. Thank you. This little collection is ‘heirloom’ worthy. And would so easily translate into a book that would resonate with so many people in this crazy world of ours. Whatever their onward journey, I won’t forget them x Thank you.
I love your little paintings. Oh I have paintings that are more personal to me than others. Those I can’t part with. As I was watching this video I couldn’t help but see the clothes/towels blowing in the breeze outside your window. It was very nostalgic for me because where I live we cannot have a clothes line and I miss the fresh smell of clothes dried by the sun. It reminded me of being a kid & running through the sheets that my mother hung to dry in our back yard. I think you have given me inspiration for my own little paintings/ and book. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope your paintings find a good home.🇺🇸
Ohhhh how lovely this is to hear... thank you so much for sharing this pieces of gorgeousness. and you'll see on my comment above to Barbara... I was a little concerned about the washing... 'being ugly in the frame' lol .... oh the washing stories I recall... living in Wellington NZ before I moved to Australia... the winds were SO STRONG sometimes that sheets would SLAP YOU in the face it was horrendous... or... if you didn't secure things well enough they would take off out of the yard and never be seen again. I'm sorry to hear you can't hang yours outside in the sun... that is a simple pleasure you've given me something more to be grateful for... i actually enjoy the ritual of hanging the clothes and calming myself down from needing to be anywhere else in that moment. is easier on a nice warm day. :) So happy to hear you feel inspired... go for it. Denise x 💚🌼🌼🌼
Hi Barbara, hahahaaaa that is so adorable and quite funny... because... the thought flitted through my editing mind that I 'should probably have taken the ugly washing in and not had it in the frame'.... but the 'lets GET THIS DONE' part said... who cares about the washing, everyone has washing, stop ittt! lol. I am sooo happy to hear the washing was even enjoyed! bless, Denise x 🤣
I love the idea of recording each painting in a small book with your thoughts! I have been a decorative painter for 25 years ( murals & furnishings in people’s homes) so I always had to let go of my work once the job was over. Now, I’m beginning to paint on canvas & paper and putting my own style out in the world and it IS harder to part with them! Totally relate to what you’re experiencing.🙂
Hi Cheryl, It's so interesting hey, it's like a part of us doesn't believe we can keep creating .... but there isn't an end to our creativity... ha! The curious journey of being an artist ... thanks for connecting. Denise x
Denise, I've only recently seen some of your videos. This video is precious and really resonated with me. I'm almost finished moving my art space from our basement to a spare room upstairs. I donated so much. I realized having such a large space with so many art supplies and art stuff was overwhelming and I began to avoid going and creating. Now with my smaller space (which I love and made it cozy with only the things I love), I'm looking for a way to store all my little art pieces and partially filled art journals and loose pieces. Watching this video has given me an idea, thanks so much for that! I also love the idea of exploring my emotion attachments to them. Hugs, Donna (from Canada)
Hi Donna, It sounds like you're infusing your art practice and experience with a beautiful boost of energy at the moment... moving 'up in the world' from basement to your upstairs bedroom.. it'll be so interesting to notice how this feels for you going forward. Lovely to hear this video resonated with you, thanks for sharing.. hugs to you too. Denise x
Wow! I love all the meaning behind the art you create. Not only are they fabulous artistic pieces, you are giving a part of yourself. This seems like it would be more meaningful to potential collectors. Do you share a written narrative about your thoughts with would-be collectors?
Thanks so much Lovely, I guess I may have a little bit from time to time... but with this bunch it seems to be begging to be included as all part of it... this video has been one of the ones I have most enjoyed making. It feels like the sensitivity and connection is being honoured, and by being shared... it has the potential to be a gift to others... I really love that notion. Denise x
New here, hello! I loved your video and love your paintings! I have such a big block against selling my artwork (mixed media) . Something about letting go of the things I've made and then never being able to make anything good again. Silly, as I've been creative all my life. If my sales were worthwhile, I would be ok with it, but if I gave everything away and made 50$ that would be awful. Anyway, I love your ideas! Here's one more: When you showed us the second "being" the red and white one I thought you were going to say, 'Here's the NEXT little person who is waiting in line to be on stage" So now it would be easier to let the first little girl go. Hmmmmmmmm .
Ohhh, that is the gift of IFS, you don't have to let any of the parts go... they are all part of the 'family' within. Being an artist certainly puts us in touch with many of our insecurities and fears along the way... as well as the JOY of it... a real mixture... and as you say, especially when/if you decide to sell the work, and if it is received well or not. Take care of yourself, may the next right step open up and be made easeful for you. warm wishes Denise x

thank you so much Esther, I think I may just have to make some more with little Aura in them... these ones have shown me how much joy she brings. Lovely to hear you enjoyed this video, it's so special for me to hear from friends of my work from across the other side of the world, thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts. ... and yes... I would agree, there is connection between my feelings/essence/look that transfers into my paintings... probably unconsciously at the time... warm hugs to you from Australia, Denise x💚🌼🌼🌼
