Thanks a million - I was lamenting having to take the front off to get to the switch so your video was a welcome relief. Thanks to Amazon's "not quite so prime anymore" shipping it was going to take 5 days to get a replacement switch so I decided to carefully disassemble the switch (no easy task) and with a bit of filing and some contact cleaner on the contact points (and a drop of oil on the solenoid shaft while I had it apart) it's working like a champ! As cheap as the replacement switch was ($10) I decided to go ahead and order one to have it on-hand in case my fix doesn't last.
Not for sure? Most of the time it is the door switch but with no clicking sound that would be hard to tell if it's getting the right power to switch. I would replace the door switch first being a cheaper part but if it does not fix the problem it will probably be the main control board. If you don't want to guess, call a good repair man out to diagnose the problem.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I couldn't get that ring back on. I was able to do it after watching your video. Good video.
Happy to help!
I have the ThinQ washer/dryer combo. Where can I purchase the door lock assembly?
You can locate the necessary parts on the LG website. Please have your model number on hand to ensure you receive the correct part.
I have a de1 error code but I don’t hear the washer trying to make a clicking noise. will switching out the lid door lock switch fix the error code?
