I should have been more clear obviously. Most people are consuming factory-farmed animals which never get to eat the clumps of soil around the grass, so they are deficient without supplementation. I found since going low carb, that recovery is much faster. The one thing that most people that don't understand is, is that 50 gram or less carbs keto diet is more for couch potatoes. Athletes, especially high volume, high performance athletes can and should eat higher amounts of carbs provided they stay lower glycemic to keep muscle glycogen up, inflammation down, and still get the required nutrients and stay ketogenic. I am 17 months of low carb and time restricted feeding. I feel like I am fully fat adapted, because I have new all time bests in 1,5,10, and 20 min power all while fasted for over 18 hours. I try not go beyond 1 hour while fasted for high intensity but have done two, 3 hour rides while fasted and felt great. My best 5 min was at the very end of the last long fasted. It takes time, so it's best to start it in the offseason.
What are your thoughts on all the research stating that "keto diets might have detrimental effects on bone health and that further long-term studies are warranted." Where is Pete? Interesting advice on nutrition. Thx
I always enjoy your vids Taren. And by telling what you eat will most certainly bring you a lot of negative comments. I want to stay away from that. That said, your diet consists for a large part of supplements. I miss a lot of natural micro’s in your diet to keep you healthy in the longterm. Why this way? Is that really sustainable?
Big shots fired at Eric Lagerstrom hahaha
Gracie is my favorite!
Did you just put ghee into coffee?? If so, I don't even want to know how it tastes
Granted, I sneak in a bit of sweetener, but it's actually pretty good. I was surprised myself when I tried it.
As a 9 years low carber...I simply cannot ruin of good cup of coffee by adding oil and butter to it. It ruins it...texture...flavor...everything.
Why so many of those protein bars instead of good whey protein powder drink with zero sugar...
Geezuz 20 minute video!
fyi - dairy is more insuline sensetive then sugars....
I would puke all over the place if I took all those vitamins on a empty stomach with only water lol
No BPN supplements??!?
It's hard to import USA nutritical product in Canada.
Bananas in the fridge!?
Yessir!!!! 90% dark chocolate ❤️❤️❤️
If "low carb" we can assume Zero sugar, correct?
yes, or low sugars - maybe 50-80g carbs a day
Low carb is not zero sugar. Keto is not zero sugar. Zero Carb and Carnivore are zero sugar.
Hehe Hehe yes indeed
instead of all these pharmacy why dont you just have proper meals?
that coffee sounds so disgusting
I'd add some more pills and supplements...oh and more nut butter
Not a single proper meal, just snacks.
Obviously somethings wrong. More supplements and pills than real meals and the proof is in the pudding. Ur basically training full time training but still carrying some timber and ur performances aren't outstanding. I think it's too much of "what the pros do" and not what works for u
In fact, listening to a bunch of podcasts on this subject recently, the vast majority of pros don't align themselves with a certain diet and tend to eat healthily and with variety and have a good handle on what to consume. This vid seems more like eating "what the marketers say" than what the pros do...
And where are your results?
Suplement Is a waste change my mind
Wow thats a lot of processed food.
Bone broth collagen protein in coffee wtf hahaha
You are definitely free styling your diet you really don't know what you are doing, just do like the best athletes, carb up!!!! KEEP IT SIMPLE
Can't take this video serious.
Sorry, i don't think this is very healthy. What about your cholesterol levels? Mood? Regenaration? Weakness? And where are your muscles :)? Aren't carbs important to mantain muscles after hard training? and there are also many studies that show, that a diet high in carbs is good for endurance. The best marathon runners use over 77% of carbs ... and what is most important, carbs make you happy :) !
Low Carb is not a good idea mate you need potatoes
You look really unhealthy and overweight.
@@WtfRUclips_YouSuck wow. Nutrition is quite an emotional thing for you it seems. To each their own.
@@christoph_wattever There is just so much antiquated, horse shit out there in regards to it. It especially triggers me when overweight people say something as retarded as "you need potatoes". The potato wasn't even introduced to Europe until the 1500s and prior to that, seems people survived well enough. 🙄
@@WtfRUclips_YouSuck people survived without food supplements and pills much longer than the 1500s if that's the case
@@akiratablet2281 Nutritional supplements have a place, most people are deficient in one thing or another. Sure Taren would do better to eat fermented foods like Kim Chi or Sauerkraut instead of taking probiotics, or instead of eating processed nut butters, just eat some nuts. But Taren is going the lazy route, rather than eating real food and he's a product pusher on youtube.
Maybe oneday he'll learn to meal prep and enjoy the benefits of whole food sources over processed and packed junk full of fillers, and he won't need to supplement so much, but learning how to diversity a low carb diet takes years to figure out on your own, so give him time. One thing is for certain.
Exogenous carbohydrates are completely unnecessary.
Steph Lowe’s moto is JERF. Just eat real food! Why has she got you eating all that crap and Supps.
Love ur training videos man but ur healthy diet looks really unhealthy! Apart from some chicken 90% of ur intake seems to be artificial processed foods! Protein bars, protein powders, nut butters etc.. Stop eating foods that are processed! Eat real meat, fish and eggs. Ribeye Steaks, Liver, Pork, Chicken, Salmon etc.. We never had powdered, processed, snack bars etc back in the day. U think it's healthy but it's not! Love ur content and want u to be healthy.. eat whole foods, dump the processed stuff it's not good!
jesus christ what a ridiculous amount of supplements lmao
This diet was horrifying to watch. Eat real food!!!!
Sorry, but this video made me unsubscribe, worst advice ever. Full of unproven claims and marketing advice. Please think about this. You are not a pro, just enjoy training and eat healthy unprocessed foods and you will not need all the pills, powders and oils. Perhaps only the vit. D could be useful.
