    Hi guys, Thanks for watching the video. I filmed the video and I can confirm she does that much in a day. At the time of filming, we had a lot of outside factors going on and she was quite wiped between the 2 races. Thanks so much to GTN for editing and producing the video. I see some great comments and we appreciated the feedback. Vegemite and avo on toast is amazing, well worth a try, lets push the team and GTN to give is a go! haha . We'll hopefully find the time to produce more videos for Sarah on her RUclips in the future and instagram on the lead up to Kona.

    • @FrancescaCi

      Agree. Go and check Kristian Blummenfelt or Gustav Iden days. They train a lot and can burn up to 8000kcal per day, so eating a lot! This amount of food is not enough, definitely. Even if she is doing less than these guys. Fuel is key

    • @idlesociety5458
      @idlesociety5458 Год назад +1

      It’s all down to the individual unfortunately. Whilst yes, they may need 8K cals per day, she may feel that’s too much food for her to consume whilst training and might make her feel sick/sluggish. Which many people do. It’s just about the quality of food you’re getting in. There really is bonified target cals for any sport everything is based on averages and estimations.

      I missed the part where she said 2k calories. This amount of food in this video is likely more than 2000 calories by itself. And…she probably also trains with gels and run/ride fuel as well for her races which she did not mention.

      @trepidati0n533 2 года назад +2

      Yes and no....this is often misunderstood. When you do a workout...those calories are burnt. However, your body compensates and burns less energy when not working out. The data backs this. Current science says you get a net benefit of only 25-50% of the calories burned in a workout. So if your normal daily rate is 2k calories and you do a 2000 calorie bike....your net day may only be between 2500-3000 calories...not 4000. The body is a pretty neat machine that way.

    Hi folks. I'm wondering could I get some input from someone who knows a bit about this.
    So, long story short, say I go for a cycle and do lets say 4hrs, at my weight I burn whatever amount of calories. It'll say on garmin/strava. I know they're not absolutely spot on with cals burned.
    Then, later that day say I go for a run. Again, calories burned is logged.
    At the end of the day, after the 2 sessions, to get a full calorie burn, can/should I also add in 2000 cals that my body burns from being simply alive, as in my basil metabolic rate. The calories my body burns each day regardless of what I do, which for my weight, is 1900.
    Can I add these to the calories burned during the bike and the run ??
    Thanks for all help.
