I was watching some of your videos today and I wrote a comment on how I’ve been feeling so much anxiety and fear. I must say this one kind of made me laugh for the first time in a long time. I started laughing when you said some people say they are still drinking tea and you were like are you kidding me?? Tea has caffeine. That’s like me in the first month I quit coffee and dark chocolate. I thought it was ok that I was eating nestle toll house milk chocolate chip cookies during that first month. I had no idea that was another form of caffeine. Then I realized what the heck are you doing and I started researching caffeine products and wow caffeine is in so many foods, drinks, hygiene products and medications. I am very careful now that I’m not consuming any caffeine products now. That’s probably why my brain is going through all these really scary changes. I love your videos and I appreciate all the time and energy you put into this. I never knew caffeine withdrawal was the reason I was going through this horrible experience. I happened to watch one of your videos by accident and I was like bingo I’m actually not having a nervous breakdown or some kind of brain tumor or cancer. Thank you!!

Everyone just beginning their caffeine free journey, if you’re suffering and watching this video looking for Hope ..listen to this man! I started talking to Cato last year a month after quitting caffeine. I thought I was dying. I suffered so bad daily from anxiety for a first time for weeks and weeks almost never getting a break, not eating, scary intrusive thoughts physical symptoms, depression...I stopped cold turkey with Pre workout..Cato would reassure me almost daily that it would get better..and a few times I would second guess him bc I was feeling so shitty for so long. Now I’m about to hit 18 months! Cato is spot on guys. Just hold tight! It’s hard and it feels like forever but it does get easier with time and eventually you will be back feeling more like yourself. Most ppl say you’ll feel better than before! You just have to ride the wave and get through it. I went to see doctors. They always said the same thing, “ Here, take these meds..you’ve got an anxiety disorder” I have NEVER had issues with anxiety..didn’t even know what it was until I quit. The Drs will steer you towards meds. You have to choose to push through on your own without them. It’s gonna suck, but when you get through to being happy again naturally..you’ll be grateful to yourself that you didn’t jump on to anything else to get you through. You can do it guys. Patience, faith, strength. Watch Cato’s videos! Lol what also helped me is that I had someone else who was going through it, close timeline to mine(he found me on Cato’s comments actually and reached out)..we went through it together talking daily to just help eachother out. It helps if you have someone else who is going through it to talk to. Well, it did for me.

Fafa for me, it was on and off the entire time from beginning til even after a year. I’m being honest... BUT it was the hardest and worst about 1-6 months in. Getting hit daily with those feelings. I felt and had seen things in my mind that I’d never imagine feeling it seeing. It was scary. It got easier after that 6 months..because it’ll hit you...but it won’t last as long or happen as frequently and I believe you gain some mental strength back with time where you can be more rational and recognize that those shitty feelings you’re feeling are related to the withdrawal. It becomes minimal and you are able to get on with your life. You just have to stay patient..bc trust me after some time of dealing with this..you’re going to get angry with the fact that you still have to deal with some dips. You want to be 100% back to yourself again, and that will come..just don’t go trying to find ways to substitute those happy feelings, your body has to do that on its own, in its own time. You just have to ride the shitty wave until it’s over and you’re feeling great again! I’ve seen many others who also say how amazing they feel after this who are 2+ years free. I’m getting to that point myself. 18 months today! 🤗

Cato thank you for this video. Since November of 2020 to present my symptoms have come and go. I have months where I'm doing great and I don't feel like I'm off balance to months where my symptoms come right back again. I haven't had a real coffee in over a year but like you stated in this video, even decaf coffee has caffeine in it and yes, I have been going back to that and drinking one once a day. I noticed that even with decaf, my symptoms tend to return but after a few weeks/months of not drinking decaf, my symptoms slowly go away again. Caffeine and anxiety most def. My symptoms are all balance issues and not getting the proper amount of sleep. Keep making these videos Cato because you're really impacting and helping other people out there who are struggling with true caffeine withdrawals which in turn leads to anxiety. I would have never thought that caffeine could cause this nor last this long. The 0-9 days is completely wrong for people like me who suffer from the extreme withdrawal and anxiety that comes with it. Did you ever have balance issues when going through your withdrawal? I know anxiety causes this but didn't know if you had to deal with feeling off balance? Thanks Cato!

@@LrgPicture for sure 🙏🏼 I felt like gripping thoughts of guilt and fear that I couldn’t shake past mistakes in my marriage, past drug abuse every negative thought was amplified, early in the morning or evening mostly when I was by myself.... I’m a over thinker as it is so I’m sure that had a bit to do with how caffeine effected my brain. I felt head pressure as if my head was literally in vice. It would come and go along with ringing in my ears. Pins and needles in my hands and feet. Neck pain muscle tension. Sleepless nights 2-4 hours . It came in overwhelming bouts where I had to jump out of the shower or run outside my house to feel some type of relief. My teenage boy saw me during one episode and he asked me are you ok dad? I tried to play it off and I said I’m ok just not feeling well... I did not know how to explain these emotions to anyone but my wife. This video gave me hope that I would eventually gain control of my thoughts and come back to a level head. I Thank God for this man heaven knows
