      Yes. One of the reasons we drink is to get the relaxed feeling from a couple of drinks. But if you're off caffeine you usually already feel relaxed so I you end up with far less cravings for alcohol. With caffeine you're always searching for something that will take the edge off. So yes I think alcohol and caffeine go hand in hand.

    Truthfully speaking, The instant cure for anxiety is to understand the fact that there are infinite amount of possible outcomes in this universe and our brain only thinks of a handful . A bad outcome can become the means of a good outcome in the future. Just like that a good outcome can become the means of a bad outcome. For example, you lost your job (bad thing). But then you got a new job which is better ( bad thing led to a good outcome.) It's an endless cycle. So just go with the flow and don't think about it . 😄 Goodluck.

    Ever since I got the 4th dose of the covid vaccine I developed an intolerance/sensitivity to caffeine. I would get racing heartbeats and turn to full blown panic attacks everyday for a week. I’m able to control it now. I had so many tests done and thought something was wrong with my heart but everything was fine. My doctor told me to avoid anything with caffeine : coffee, cocoa, decaf coffee (cocoa), chocolate, tea, energy drinks. And it’s working. I cried when I made hot chocolate and realized I can’t have any lol 😅😭 it really sucks because I love coffee I enjoy making coffee and now I can’t have it. I can’t even go to a coffee shop anymore. It’s very hard and life changing

      hey man I was the same as you. I smoked weed and drank coffee and I would get immediately feelings of dizziness, nausea, lots of tiredness but above all, problems breathing.. really shallow breath. the shallow breath was what was triggering my anxiety.
      first i though it was the weed but when I quit coffee and continued smoking weed I figured out that it was coffee all along giving me all those symptoms.
      nowadays I smoke only weed, fine as hell, able to have full anxiety ridden breaths and no nausea or tiredness.

    My unscientific theory is that caffeine stimulates dopamine, and as it subsides, there are micro-withdrawals, which is the "anxiety" feeling.

    • @BookClubDisaster
      @BookClubDisaster 9 месяцев назад

      Basically. It initially stimulates dopamine. That's why we tend to feel great for the first few hours after drinking a cup. But as it works its way through our system, it activated cortisol--the feel bad hormone.

    It really is a tolerance thing,I been a coffee drinker all my life and starting out I would get anxiety but now I can drink it and fall asleep lol..it just doesn't do that to me anymore. Now if you are prone to anxiety anyway..caffeine may be something you want to avoid all together. Nicotine to for that matter,both stimulants and if you have that issue anyway it makes it worse. I think it depends on the person not the drug,no matter which drug it is.

    I've only ever had a few panic attacks in my life. They were all induced by some type of substance. Over the counter tylonel with a stimulant in the ingredients, multi vitamins that have way too much B vitamins in it, which overly increases energy in some people causing these attacks. And new today coffee caused one of these to me for about 5 minutes or so.... It was so weird when it happened too... and I instantly knew it was the coffee cause I had it about 30minutes - 1 hr before hand... I rather not drink coffee again. Used to drink it off and on...
