Very common theme with manufacturers coming out with all these fancy names for the new tech and it being “1% thinner that the previous model” but what is evident is that most don’t offer the standard golfer a great deal more than their current set (if they have the previous 1-2 versions) this is PING this is most companies. I’d go for the i210’s!
Why would you forge the body and then put a non forged face on it ? At £200 each I’ll wait til they discount like crazy when they realise they’re not selling.
@@TimElliottGolf you’re absolutely right about market forces. I’ve waited 3 years for these irons but at that price point I shall be staying with my trusty i blades for a while longer. I’m betting that after poor sales volume they’ll be discounted down closer to the price of the opposition within 2 years. Of course being cast clubs my i blades still look good despite 80 rounds a year. What I do think is telling is the number of Ping staffers with i59 in the bag. I’m only aware of Hovland using the short irons. Historically when a new S series or the I blade was announced they were in widespread tour use before public release. Thanks for the review
Faster, hotter, blah, blah, blah…. These clubs play absolutely no better than irons from 10-15 years ago. It’s all about recycling the same iron tech year after year with primarily aesthetic only changes to generate sales to the gullible.

I think I would take the i210, I'm a fan of softer feeling clubs and the price difference would also come into play.
@@TimElliottGolf great swing by the way! do you ever suffer from over draws?
