Appreciate you getting out on the course and testing these out. You’ve quickly become one of my trusted sources for solid info. Should be getting my i525 irons in the next week or so. Can’t wait.
Love the gentle clear talk. Great looking clubs and fantastic golf course with great views.I liked the fact that you didn’t just t all about the irons.
On course is terrific. Great course and really informative review. Keep these coming, Mike. You’re the best in the business, far less clicky/cocky than Rick Sheils, and far less irritating than Peter Finch.
Fan-f***ing-tastic review. I love the on-course trial of the clubs. I'm a newbie with Radspeed clubs, but I love the fact you went shot-to-shot commentary and given each club a chance to shine. Great work, Michael. Cheers mate, Dann.
Great Review as always, Tried the i59 today and was really impressed, felt more forgiving than I thought they would be ! Currently play p790, but as you said price is putting me off !!
Have friends in Whitehaven next time I’m coming down from Glasgow will take my clubs and have a hit round here absolutely beautiful setting. Rather similar looks to gleneagles
Nice round nice clubs. Seems to be a more beautiful set of i210s in terms of playability. I would get those but at normal Ping price levels not at PXG prices.
Appreciate your effort for on-course iron testing vlog. Smooth swing but powerful. Everything you do is nice and good camera views especially with ball tracer. Great work Mike and we know you are a good player. 😍
Played ping and many other brands. These may be the best feeling clubs I’ve ever hit. First time I’ve hit them was today. I’ve currently got the i210 and these will be replacing them. I love my i210 too!
Great review, I love Ping. But….other clubs on market by various manufacturers offer similar performance for less money. Price is a turn-off in this camp. Love the on-course action!
Can you compare with Taylormade forged cavity backs p7mc? Not sure the name. I have forged cavity back Hogans I am looking to replace. Also thinking of next level or is it new level irons. I have to have soft feel.
Great test of the new Ping irons. I play off 5 handicap and I have ordered a set. Are they for a really low handicap golfer or forgiving enough for a low/mid handicap golfer. Keep up the great testing 🤙
Really cool to see the on course testing, but dont you dare get rid of your regular style reviews!😂 viewers can actually get used to your review style and can gauge a clubs performance in comparison to your reviews of other clubs. Like seeing both styles on the bigger clubs, Great great job!
Watched Rick’s video….he hit a weak shirt right shot when he talked about the forgiveness. If you hit any iron with an open face it will go short right. I personally feel they are pretty forgiving for an iron of that size 👍
Hey Michael I’ve been playing the mizuno mp53 for years now and love them. I’m looking to upgrade to either the jpx921 tours or the Mp22 MMC when mizuno releases them. I live in a rural area and can’t get out to test irons as much due to covid. I trust your opinion on this and was Wondering which you’d recommend ? Im a 6 handicap and irons are my strongest suit Thanks Michael really appreciate it and enjoy the vids
having hit all of the jpx921 and mp20 line up extensively; here are my two cents. I prefer the jpx921 tour and forged, over the mp20 line up. They feel quite similar, buttery, but the jpx lineup was slightly hotter and more forgiving. However, the mp20 lineups do have a shorter blade length. How important is it to you to game bladed or near bladed irons? How good are your approach shots ie GIR and proximity to the pins? For me, I'd rather score well over the minor differences in look at address. Unless I'm talking to a scratch golfer, I would almost always recommend giving some priority to forgiveness. Highly recommend the jpx 921 forged in that regard. Not sure how far you hit your irons, but I found the forged to have a great balance of feel, control, distance, and forgiveness.
@@pc15494 the looks aren’t super important I find both the lines to be very nice looking irons, I’d be happy looking down at either set. My approach shots are what I usually feel very confident over. I hit my pw ~140yds, 7 iron ~175yds, 4 iron ~210yds. As for GIR I don’t actually keep track but if I had to say it’s probably between 6-8 depending on the day. But my misses are typically hole high just off to one side of the green or another. Rarely miss the green by more than a few yards.
@@Andrew_382 yeah ur irons have plenty distance. My one concern would be the forgiveness aspect, mp53 do have a slight cavity right? and a bit thicker topline than blades right? if ur gapping is already ideal, then maybe go with the jpx921 tour? I mean, they are the most popular choice for uncontracted pros? Srixon zx7s are also an outstanding choice. If ur not totally set on mizunos, a player of your profile, i would almost always recommend the srixons. Call me crazy but i think i prefer the feel of srixons over mizunos. And im not the only one, i’ve seen plenty of reviewers say the same. To be honest, you cant go wrong with these options brother: jpx 921 tour, mp20 mmc, srixon zx7. These are the best of the best forged irons out there. PS dont sleep on the zx7, i’d bet the zx7s would have superior feel and performance to the mmc, since they are one piece forged, unlike the multimaterial construction of the mmc.
@@pc15494 I’ve been looking at the srixon zx7 but have been a mizuno player for ~10 years so I sort of talked myself out of looking into them more. I’ll give them a check this winter for sure as well as the mizunos. Appreciate your input
@@Andrew_382 also, check if ur using the proper shafts, a left and right dispersion could mean that ur using a shaft that is too light or flexible for you. Im just guessing since i havent seen your swing but, 2nd swing youtube channel did a video on all the nippon shafts in the market. You will notice that the shafts that are too light/weak for the tester may have similar outcomes to yours.
Like the on course testing.
Love the on course testing. Beautiful course too! Please keep them coming.
Really enjoyed the real world on course testing! Beautiful course to boot and I59’s are great looking clubs.
Great to watch a course testing Vlog with someone who can actually play golf. Keep them coming !!!!
Great job Michael! From North Carolina we love the on course testing.

Great on course test vid!
Nice to see a review like this

Thanks!! 👍
just getting the 4 and 5 iron of the i59 is a good idea as you can combo them with the blue print and also save some money too
I am sure they are great clubs but the prices are ridiculous. Having said that it is nice to see you out on the course. Thank you
They sound incredible, keep up the great work
Beautiful course and driver head cover.
very well done review so much better than just hitting off a matt in the bay
I have the old s59 love the I hope the new i59 are as good
Besides the pings that is a beautiful course wow. Nice round of golf as well.
Great Review as always, Tried the i59 today and was really impressed, felt more forgiving than I thought they would be ! Currently play p790, but as you said price is putting me off !!
I have to say, I love your channel. Very informative, well produced, and good lessons to learn. Beautiful course you have there as well.

This is the sort of review / vlog that I have been waiting for. Absolutely brilliant 😊
Thanks Nigel
Great review. Thanks Michael.

Thanks for the feedback Daniel 👍
These look so pure!!!
Thanks for doing the on course testing!
Good to see you outdoors
That is a beautiful course! Great review, great looking product.

I agree. Been demoing them for a few days. I play i500's but the i59 will be replacing these
Blencathra looking stunning in the background
The difference seems in the review you heeled everything and on course you middled everything
Great vid!
I do find it funny everyone mentions the price, but never cared when PXG charge 3 grand US for Irons.
Great review, I love Ping. But….other clubs on market by various manufacturers offer similar performance for less money. Price is a turn-off in this camp. Love the on-course action!
Great video!!!!

Wilson Staff CB 🔥🔥
Great looking golf course. Lovely looking golf clubs, but not at that price! Your vids are brilliant!!!
What amazing views this course has!
Have these puppies on order and just got my estimated ship date 🤙🤙. Can’t wait to get these bad boys in the bag!
Nice course.
thanks mike love this
My next set of irons two years from now
Great video! Is there info on what clubs are in your personal bag?
Great review but as you say far too expensive. Keswick GC looks awesome…. Fabulous advert for golf in the Lake District……. ⛳️👍🏻😃
👍👍
On course testing is 👌. The irons look so nice, they are not for me tho 🙄
beautiful clubs but probably a little uncomfortably priced unless you're a very low handicapper who has time to enjoy these.
Still one of the best golf swings on YT. I agree they look superb, however, £1600 for a set of irons! Ouch. Great test and review as per usual, Mike.
Thanks Andy
Great test of the new Ping irons. I play off 5 handicap and I have ordered a set. Are they for a really low handicap golfer or forgiving enough for a low/mid handicap golfer.
Keep up the great testing 🤙
Are you using the Ping Tyne putter?
Great on course testing. Playing i500 at the moment. Thinking to go test these irons. They look stunning! Hcp 6,6 would it fit my game?
Yes!!
The irons dont sound soft at all.

What the PXG 2018 IS PING DOING?!!! Price is hard to justify Mike, especially based on thier own model with blue prints as a comp...
PXG gen 4 are way way over priced still!
These didn't kick the 7mc out of Rock Shiels bag, he sighted they weren't too forgiving. Your thoughts?
Watched Rick’s video….he hit a weak shirt right shot when he talked about the forgiveness. If you hit any iron with an open face it will go short right. I personally feel they are pretty forgiving for an iron of that size 👍
@@MichaelNewtonGolf thanks for the feedback Michael !!
Rick Shiels cant play golf ... doesn't matter what he uses.. cant watch him any more ...
look at 8:15 and see where the ball ends up
👀
Like your reviews, gorgeous irons and wedge but they are getting too pricey.

The faces on them are not forged - other, parts of the club are but not the most important thing - bit silly that by Ping
Once I saw it was $250/club I was out.
