    Just received my i59's last week 6-W. I switched from the Blueprints to the i59's for just the touch of extra forgiveness. Absolutely love them. Zero fear of the "miss" where the ball comes up 5-10 yards short.

    This review is more comprehensive than most, covering many aspects of the whole set, not just a seven iron. Thanks for all the information, always enjoy the channel.

    PING really doesn’t make many mistakes do they?! So nice to look at. I like the 3 options for loft as well. Great idea! Nice to see a club review again Dan and good to see Lee as it had been a while 👍🏻

    Totally agree with your comment on blades making you concentrate more . I've recently been fortunate enough to buy a set of Macgregor VIP Tourneys, 3-Gw, if you saw them you would think that someone bought these and could not use them so put them in the attic for years!they are in amazing condition and as you said when using the 3 and 4 you really do concentrate more ,it's like a training aid because as you know the clubs will either reward or punish you dependant on your strike but I'm so glad I got these because as an added bonus they look fantastic in the bag 🙌

    Loved the review,thank you. I placed my order for a set today! Got my fitting done at Cool Clubs in SA and being the first time I've ever held a Ping club I fell in love after the first shot! They look and feel fantastic!!! The sound they made in the studio was very cool as well...lol! Love the content. Keep it up! Cheers

    Great looking irons, I am a high handicapper and my most bladed irons are my 716 Ap2s. Nice review as I appreciate Lee’s way of looking at clubs and his honesty.

    Great review gents. Really enjoyed that. Loved the fact that it was ‘real’ ball visuals rather than studio data. Makes a massive difference. Good to see Lee. Looking really well buddy, looking very trim as well dude.

    Started my golf with Ping, flirted with Mizuno but have gone home to Poppa with some Ping i200s, fantastic company with great customer service, maybe Dan could have mentioned a price point, but I suppose the chaps who want these beauties don't worry about budgets. Thought Lee brought some credible thoughts to this review too, keep the momentum going Dan.

    Nothing like hitting a bladed iron flush , You can feel the compression off the face , I played Wilson DynaPower bladed irons in the late 1970's as a teenager. I absolutely loved the feeling when you flushed a 4 iron. These Pings look sweet

    Lovely looking iron. Have played i500 for the last couple years and really love them but recently went to a fitting as my coach saw potential in perhaps a set that allow more shot shaping. Tried the i59, gorgeous to look at and really wanted them to be the right club for me, but sadly I couldn't do them justice to be honest. I ended up with a fitting for T100-S which should turn up mid October (hoping the savings over the i59 might allow me to spend a bit more on lessons over the winter ready for next season).

    Great review Dan, love your approach to club reviews, not the typical smashing balls into a screen, the titliest one was especially good and different going to a fitting day and getting views from players being fitted. Notice you didn't mention the price of the Ping's 🤔

    I've been a ping iron guy for a long time, and it's time for a new set, but I think I'm going with the TaylorMade P770s instead just to get something more forgiving. I've had Mizuno blades in the past and they can be harsh if you're not striking the ball well.
    I'm on the fence though, admittedly. These are sharp.

    As usual a great review and really enjoyed the way you undertake the review. Only little issue is that it would be nice if there was a bit more club reviews for those of us who are at a higher HCP . Although I really enjoyed the review I would never be able to actually play with bladed clubs.

  • @craig3775
    @craig3775 2 года назад

    Another nice and comprehensive review Dan, although I do have one suggestion if I may.
    These clubs show how exceptional Ping are at engineering a multi material head to perform as close as possible to a pure single material forged head. The true test of their achievements would only truly be seen by comparing this iron to the iron which they are trying to replicate, the blueprint. Also, when you show the very subtle data differences in launch angle and spin rates, can you show us the club data to show that speed and dynamic loft are matched? Comparing to your own irons is difficult to compare because perhaps your own irons are a quarter inch shorter with a different swing weight etc.
    A similar review could be done for the T100 against the MB. These are aimed at players in the top 2% of players from their respective countries so the devil is in the detail.
    Just a thought 👍

    There's only one issue - price. In the UK, the online price is ~£1,330 for 5 - PW. By comparison, the Blueprint irons are £1,399 (4 - PW). Its a lot of money for only 6 clubs in the i59.

  • @BroGolfers
    @BroGolfers 2 года назад

    Dan you mention about when testing new irons to get out on the course… how’s this really possible when choosing a new iron? There isn’t a dealer I know that allows you to take them out.

  • @MSDOGS1976
    @MSDOGS1976 2 года назад +1

    I hear the arguments for blades but you have several pros including Lee Westwood who play a more forgiving club(i210) so I really don't understand why a single digit hc golfer or even a club pro wouldn't want the extra forgiveness? I'm not wanting my iron shot dropping short in the water just for a little extra feed back.

    • @hlf_coder6272
      @hlf_coder6272 Год назад

      I agree with this. I was a club pro in my early twenties. At one point I switched over to some Mizuno butterknife blades and although you could definitely work the ball more and all that, it wasn't worth the tradeoff. There were always 2 or 3 shots a round where I'd mishit it slightly and wind up 10 yards short or something.
      I like the transitional irons more. You pretty much need to be tour level to be hitting dead center every freaking time.

    Does ping produce 3 different heads? Or do they just bend them? I had the impression they bent the heads to the spec requested.
