Good to see they figured out the issue with the i500s. I broke 5 of those irons since they are a hollow body and these look like they added some stiffener into the actual head. Ping replaced my 500s for free and I got the i210s. I absolutely love the i210s and should have gotten them the first time around.
(EDIT: Well I went and tested these in person against the T100, P7MC, and the Mizuno 221/223. The i59 were a clear winner in feel and dispersion. And as a bonus they have a little anti-left built-in, and an over-cooked draw is my miss. I ordered them immediately with Modus 120 and was quoted only 2-3 weeks which was nice. To be honest the feel reminds me of my old PING S56 irons. It's a solid snappy feel - not butter but equally as pleasing. NOT hard or harsh.)
Yes!!!! Well worth the wait..haven't even seen your review yet 😀😃having just seen your review...look nice, a tad disappointed with the grooves stopping short at the toe end...however...they are a ball strikers iron
My Mizuno HMB 2 and 3 iron actually feel more forged than my MP18 MB's do. I haven't hit any other hollow body irons but the HMB's feel and sound great.
Weirdly I just hit the 7 iron at my local golfbox and it was carrying 170-180m into there machine. So strange as my i210 7 iron is a 150m club. But yes it felt unbelievable on a crisp strike. But even an of hit still went well
Nice video … one question why do most of your hits were closer to the hosel? How do you fix that with changing lie angle or shaft May interesting to see if you hit it center what numbers will come out !
Currently playing i210’s but don’t think I have the game for these (smaller blade size with little offset says “hello shanks” to me!). Good looking clubs for better players though and a great review as always Michael!👍🏻
Ping indicates a standard swingweight of D1 which goes against the more usual D2. How does this affect performance compared with similar irons from TM or Callaway say ?
I play off 15 currently and have been around 12-15 for about 6 months now. Love the look of these clubs but I’ve seen a lot of feedback saying they’re more for the lower handicappers. Do you think these would be suitable for a 12-15 handicapper? Thanks!
Hi Brian I don't know about the Ping i59 but I do the Miura MB 101 and they are fantastic irons that are the benchmark everything else is judged by. Try the Ping's but from what every review I have seen (only today) they are not in the same category having a filled "hollow" body. Hope you enjoy testing mate :)
Except for the "hollow body construction", that would be right up my alley. The lofts are nice (I'm currently gaming a set with lofts right in between the normal and the retro-specs), the top line is decently thin, the blade length seems short enough and the offset seems constrained.
@@kimmorrison9169 nOpE those were at the time called SGI, now its more popular to call the i series "player cavity" instead of game improvement....name changes but who cares. OG pingmen know.
I've watched, like nearly 100 of this guy's "reviews." First, he should pay me a dollar for everytime he says, "that." Just count em . . . Second, I've never heard him say, "Oh yes, this club is a piece of shit." Every review is the same: never says a bad thing about any club that doesn't begin with, "maybe . . ."
To be honest there isn’t a club that is a piece of shit unless you review those shite cheap clubs off Amazon 🤷♂️ would you like me to do THAT to please you? Nah……..I’m good thanks 👍 if you watched closely enough (clearly not) I point out negatives.

Beautiful iron!

Totally agree. I went full set in the HMB’s and they feel and perform great.
And I'm over here, just got my blueprints a couple weeks ago.
very good looking iron had my mind set on combo’ing a set of p790 -p770’s but now may have to rethink it
I hear ya. I got the p770s. Pretty awesome. I’d prob go new p790 4 iron and the rest p770 off I were to combo
You should consider Mizuno also
Would love to see a comparison with the Taylormade p770. I know the 770 would be longer but everything else … feel, size, forgiveness.
225$ American per club nice. I was debating btw these and t100. I'll save 600 and go for t100. Performed great. I59 do look good tho
I hit them both. T100 feels the tiniest amount clicker than i59. I went with T100
Looks pure. I wonder what the next iteration of the i210 will offer.
My point also, am currently playing ping i's and looking forward to the i210 replacements

You have a great swing keep up the great reviews 👍
Hi Mike. Great review! can you do comparison between these and P770? Thx!
Working on it!
Hi Michael, can you do a head to head iBlades vs i59. Is there any benefit upgrading to i59 from iBlades? Thank you in advance.
Ping......such a quality manufacturer

I just got i210’s two weeks ago. First new pings since 2000, I can’t be seeing this lol

yes, look small but same forgiveness as i210 iron which is noticeable larger head than i59
@@MichaelNewtonGolf interesting as I’ve heard a lot of people say these are more for the lower handicappers. Thanks for the feedback.
How do they compare to the Miura MB 101? I am about to order a set, but might hold off if they are comparable.

@@edwinlambley2801 what Edwin said!
@Michael Newton Golf: What irons are in your bag currently, given the comparison you provided on Ballspeed?
I play Wilson Staff Blades
They look a little similar to my G700’s although a lot slimmer!
Just looking down at it terrifies and pleases me at the same time. I'm so confused
Iron looks like a sexy supper car , what a beauty. Just got the 425’s an like them.
Would love to try these. Have been playing g410 and considering a set of forged irons having dropped my handicap.
How're you supposed to replace those grips?
Don t like hollow iron …. Next i Want thé 210 replacement
How would these compare to titleist 620 CB? Size similar ? How about forgiveness ?
They are a little bit bigger and definitly easier to hit.
Have you seen the price of these? $1900 US. For 4-PW. WTF

What’s the trouble with hollow construction?
@@mrjamesgrimes it sounds/feels hollow... And has a slightly higher propensity to flyers (that's relatively marginal here, I suppose)
👍👍👍
I don’t think I will be testing these, I think they are above my abilities.
you may be surprised, they're forged and not blades so I would test this if i was you.
thought it was a forged back but not a forges face...
😍😍😍😍
nice iron
nice, but they're not Hogans....
It's 'i59' or 65!' - I guess i59 in the bag and 65! on the ground.
i59 😃
Interesting switch in the nomenclature.
S-Series WAS the players category.
I-Series WAS the GI category.
no, G is the game improvement iron and the i series is between the G and the muscle back/blade. i series has standard lofts and less offset.
The i’s sat In-between the GI and players irons except for the i500s which we’re closer to the GI clubs.

@@smileypureblood930 crappy strong lofts on the 500’s but I like the looks of the 500 model as well as these standard loft 59’s
Should have been called S59 then...
I dont like that hollow body feel. Too much offset as well.
Price is insane
Pretty sharp looking irons, but I need a little more forgiveness.

No softer than the i210 and at £200 a club .. no I don’t think they’ve cracked it.
Just way too expensive!
The Arcos grips are trash
Review doesn't cover shots hit in the center of the iron. I can't make any decisions off of this review other than looks.
The white groove....a tour Iron just doesn't have that.
