  • Sorry but I had to be totally honest about these irons and just come out and say it...what are the brand new 204 ping blueprint irons like, how do they perform, what technology are Ping claiming and can I actually use these in my bag. The 2024 PING Blueprint irons include the Blueprint S irons and Blueprint T irons, are designed to deliver exceptional feel and control for skilled golfers...but what about the mid to high handicap, should you even bother, well, just you wait. Each of the 2024 PING Blueprint irons features a compact appearance and a smaller blade length that will promote workability and shot-making, but does it?
    When buying new golf irons for our bag we often think about what are the best golf clubs for us? in this brutally honest review we take a look at a set of golf clubs that could well be the best irons of 2024? The best forgiving golf clubs, the best players golf clubs and even the best forgiving golf clubs? or the total opposite. Should you buy , callaway irons, taylormade irons, titleist irons, ping irons or even Mizuno irons in 2024? In this video I get to test the brand new Ping Blueprint irons.. lets find out how they perform.

    I’m a 12 handicap and I game the S’s. They are forgiving for what they are. I love them

    I play i210's and the odd time I will pull out my old Mizuno MP32'S to help me dial in when I am a bit off. I find using the smaller head great for "re focusing" and improves my concentration. When I go back to the i210's they look huge and hence my confidence is high.

    I think they look great! 5, 6, 7 in the S and 8, 9, pw in the T. Will give them a try but nothing has knocked my Miuras out of the bag for years now...

      What model Miura do you play mb or cb? But I totally get your preference on the feel and performance of an wlite forged co. such as Miura. Ive just started hitting blades, my first was the og Blueprint in the KBS tour and whilst not an out and out true blade like the old Mizuno's I was very impressed indeed. I dont think its an arrogant pretentious statement to carry all blades 3 - PW in your bag if you can hit them. My fav iron I played for years in amateur tournaments in mid 90's was the copper Ping Zings with steel stiff shaft. They were mindblowing but now alas, with the new 2011 groove rule change I have to find another 1700 quid for a suitable conforming iron set

      i play the miura mb5005. goodness they feel so amazing. getting older now and just bought a set of epon af 305 with mitsubishi oti 95 shafts. different feel than the miuras, but enjoying the easiness of them😊

    I’m a high handicapper, mainly due to health but high none the less. Tried 7 iron S today with dynamic gold 120 s300 shaft. My numbers were carry 155 give or take 2-3 yards consistently. Better numbers and more consistent than my i200 7 iron. The thing felt amazing and even my bad hits I was not punished.

    Look like a great set of irons - as you say possible combo set however I prefer the sound of the “T” it certainly sounded softer and I the shorter irons would potentially stop quicker.

    Tried them on a sim. Felt great. I’m tempted and I’m off ten. More consistent than my honmas. Pricy but lovely clubs. I’ll try again and see whether it a one off!

    I really don’t think handicap has ANYTHING to do with the irons you play. I personally have an 18 handicap mostly because I am a bad chipper. But what I do know is I can not hit chunky GI Irons. Blades create a better strike for me and when I played them 2 years ago I was an 11 so I am going back to blades (gotta work on that chipping)

    These both caught my eye immediately Alex
    I'm gaming a set of Vega MB's Ltd fitted by Scottsdale Golf currently
    Blueprint S blend in the longer irons is very tempting with the Axiom shaft
    I'm not opposed to having the blades in steel as well.
    Swing weights tweaked I think why not?

      @HowGoodGolf  6 месяцев назад +1

  • @michaelbardeleben4519
    @michaelbardeleben4519 6 месяцев назад

    Yes! very good review and a mighty fine swing to boot. Both irons are exceptionally good performers and will get even better when more pros and low amateurs and skilled players start putting in steelfibre graphite composite shafts like what Sergio plays with the LA Golf shaft and Louis Oosthuizen with the Mitsubishi Chemical MMT or the Fujikura Axiom iron shaft will be perfect for these. These I feel are precision scoring instruments and the need an equally precise shaft which is friendly but just as tight dispersion and distance as the traditional tour steel shaft offerings.

    Beautiful set of irons but try and get a set ordered 3and 4 iron in February it's now June and they still not here apparently because I asked for x100 soft stepped they can't get the shafts I was in the process of ordering the rest of the irons the other day but was told it would be September before I would get them as one of the biggest companies in golf it's a joke I also asked about upgrading the shafts to s400 tour issues and was quoted £75 per club so that's a definite no when other manufacturers offer this option as a free upgrade

    I have the prior generation Ping Blueprint blades, and I love them, I am not a pro by any stretch, but I really think playing Blades makes you a better golfer and they just feel so sweet. I usually play with i230s but I like to practice with the blades and play them occasionally when I am swinging well.

      It's all about height. If you can get enough height, play whatever you like. I have Edel SMS Pros which have adjustable weights to tune the height. It's very noticeable.

    The S has definitely caught my attention. As a 10 handicap i dont see any reason why the wouldn't work. Quite a small cavity back but im used to playing small profile irons having grown up with them. My first proper set of irons were Petron blades so anything is easier to hit after that. The whole forgiveness thing is overrated in my opinion.

    Nice looking irons but, golf is really hard so why game such a thin/small profile iron that is harder to hit if you're a "weekend warrior". I love Ping irons and game a set myself but wouldn't venture out to buy these in a hurry despite my index being a 5.3. Thanks for the review.

      You don’t actually see the cut out at address. Also the cut-outs on ping irons actually do serve a purpose, which is to bend the clubs easier if wanted.
