I'm gaming the G430 Max and this video helps calm the "I need the latest and greatest" urge in me. Thanks for demonstrating that frequently the major brands announce "amazing advancements" simply to refresh their offering and hopefully sell more clubs.

  • @discr1709

You don’t swing fast enough to truly benefit from the 10k version. For faster swingers having 400-450 rpm less spin is a game changer. The fact that Ping figured out the 10k MOI with low spin is the story here.

  • @travis3889

The new 10K model is head and shoulders above the 430 max, and the difference is well worth upgrading. The 10k is not only more forgiving but produces less spin and 10-12 yards longer for this 4 handicapper.

  • @PFunkChang

The 10k is miles ahead of anything they ever put out.

  • @shawnadams1460

I will buy one in 5 years when you can get one for under 100. Look, this dayum thing is 600 dollars. If you are honestly going to pay that much for one club, you would be better off paying for some private lessons. I mean hell, I bought my whole 16 piece set for 400 brand new, and that leaves 200 for green fees and such. I just see so called 'average' golfers paying WAY too much for clubs and then burning out complaining about how expensive it is.

  • @jeromekemmer8148

    Ancient! Lol

  • @maximumeffort2718

For me, bought a LST - too low spin and too low launch. Tried Max, too high launching and too much spin (with standard shafts). 10k is perfect launch and spin. Again, that was for me. 10K is another option for the golfers that it fits. Their “problem” is all their products are good so going to take an absolutely extraordinary club to move the needle dramatically. Like everyone says - get fit.

  • @leewoods18

Seems like you approached the review with skepticism, and hence it appears the review is not exactly objective. My experience with the 10k has been incredible...im coming from G425 max/Rogue TD/Paradym TD and have an index of 8 FWIW

  • @ri_k6229

The 10K is WAY overpriced. We should boycott all drives over $350 this year. WTF

  • @adyc7357

So the pros are saying g430 max 10k is better suited for 105mph plus swing speeds, below this stick with the std max

  • @Knickerson

Thanks! I gotta say, I love the approach, pacing and delivery of your vids. Apart from that, I may be in the market for a driver. At least, I’m planning to see if I can improve the fit of my current driver. I’m not planning to get the latest and greatest, but I’m glad to hear confirmation that I’m not missing much.

  • @jeffreymarkanich6076

Thanks Andy. This is the video I was waiting for. I’m keeping my G430 MAX in the bag for a while. In fact, I still can’t part with my G400 MAX either! Your video is more of a tribute to the consistency of the brand. Much appreciated! ⛳️👍

  • @jamesoneill6493

I have watched a lot of golf channels over the years and I really enjoy the content you are creating for us average golfers, it is really great, thank you!

  • @jaymenke4974

    Andy.

I’m approaching 80 years this year, and opted last year for the Ping 430 Max in the HL configuration meaning, a longer lighter weight shaft (35g), light grip, and 11g backweight. If this model hits the 10k mark, I don’t see a compelling reason to go for the new 10k model. This was confirmed at a recent comparative fitting session. The results were the same. I like the backweight adjustability and the ability to change the weight if the package is playing too light, or moving from fade to draw. The fitting was interesting especially trying an inch shorter shaft, higher loft, and the flat position on the shaft in the 10k. As Andy says, get fitted. My suspicion is that now that Ping has optimized MOI at 10k and owns the forgiveness space, the next release will be a bomber…Another stellar post Andy.

  • @markfogden4549

Great video Andy, I wonder if you could do a similar short video adding the G425 Max into the mix aswell.

  • @legend9018

Good honest review. At the end of the day strike is king. A great swing on an older cheaper club will always outperform a poor swing on the latest and most expensive club.

  • @AC-kp8ih

Good stuff..thanks for the comparison. All these launches seem to really make custom fitting more needed than ever...with all these drivers with fine tuned differences, it's so easy to find how different they may treat you differently, especially now that prices have surpassed cc's 😂

  • @haydnsmith9383

Love your honest reviews Andy. I definitely take more notice of your opinion than other channels that are just there to plug product.

  • @nigelphillips2846

Must admit i use the 425 Max and did not know about the 10k promotion . But as we all know its the driver driving the driver that makes the difference, ill be sticking with 425 and having a lesson or two with the money saved. Great video again Andy.
