Guys you only need to keep and hold the small "sync" button next to the USB port pressed WHILE you connect the other end to your PC, that's all. No third party software, no bluetooth dongle, not anything. For Steam operation make sure the "Steam Input" setting is enabled.
This doesn't really help me in the least. What do I do if my pro controller light doesn't turn blue? I'm connecting it with the original USB C, but nothing happens. Yeah, the orange light turns on correctly, but other than that... I'm tired of using a third party service My controller works perfectly on the Switch
Used to have no issues, but turn on steam and not working as it used to. It works in big picture mode, but soon as I start D2 only B button works and now the light at the bottom is telling me its 3rd player and not 1st.

It will control steam, but once I launch a game it will stop working, however it still says it’s connected. Not sure what else I can do.

Connecting my pro controller to the pc with a cable does nothing, and pressing buttons just affects the switch. No blue light turns on. The cord came with a wired third party pro controller for reference, and works perfectly for connecting my pro controllers to my switch.
Hmm...I just hope that Pro Controller works with D&D Chronicles of Mystara on Steam and that it also works on pc emulators.Actually I play my games or farm resources and shiny pokemon in Nintendo Switch or New Nintendo 3ds XL.

I'm having issues reconnecting by Bluetooth once it's paired. for some reason the lights will cycle and my computer will indicate connected briefly but I am unable to actually connect. I need to forget the device entirely and re-sync for it to work. idk why this is happening. also the blue light on my controller stopped working for some reason. I am using windows 11

if its a switch controller, id use Bluetooth, or just use Bluetooth for any controller
