I have been meaning to ask whether there will be a increase in base system memory because if a game like cod were to come it would most likely take up a lot of it if it were still 32 GB
Smartphone will always be smartphone not strong enough to handle heavy games, heat will destroy your phone especially battery, look at my Nintendo Switch been using from 2017 still doing fine, recently just changing new fan and apply new thermal paste, luckily battery still good no bloated issue as i always play in dock everyday. Heavy game better go for gaming console that much more powerfull such as Rog Ally, Legion Go and Nintendo Switch
LCD launch is lame and very Nintendo. Imagine Apple going backwards in display quality, people would freak out. Might just wait until the OLED model comes along, but use it mainly in docked mode anyway...
So the Switch 2 is on par with my Legion Go handheld PC when docked as they can clock up to 30watts which boosts it's performance to a higher level, though at the cost of battery life
There are no confirmed clock speeds. We don't actually know yet. What we do know is the gpu is physically 6x the size of the 768 shader Phoenix apu in the go and ally X. 2x bigger in fp32 raster cores, and an uncontested compute block in the tensor cores. 1536 for fp32 raster, and 1536 fp16 compute organized into 48 tensor cores. Oh. And 12 ray trace cores. These are the only hard facts right now. We don't know what it's going to be clocked at dock. Its ga10f gpu would need 1.31 ghz to match the peak theoretical raster performance of the legion go z1e gpu clocked at 2.8 ghz. (4 tflops target). It's possible docked.
Their main focus is battery life. Whatever advancements in chip technology their main goal is a low TDP option that ensures at least 3 hours minimum in handheld mode for their first party titles.
As someone who uses switch on portable most of the time , i would love to see it evolve to be like the asus portable deck with big screen and tv dock , and please make a bigger battery
I would like to see a VAST improvement in the Switch 2 WiFi capabilities. The Switch gets abysmal speeds. I don't really care about the screen as I'm not really into handheld gaming, I really prefer to play on a much larger TV or monitor.
I have oled which only got 15hrs playtime since day 1. I admit kinda play lots of games but mu gripe UI kinda laggy especially browsing eshop. I badly want better hardware.
I'm just excited that the power draw is 5 watts. Which will give more battery life on the handheld mode. Definitely worth it if you're just gonna play pokemon or jrpg games. Fps or competitive games are definitely should play in docked. Edit: I wonder how they can cool 15watts energy without thermal paste? Just a fan is not enough to throughly cool that kind of power.... (This part only, I can't take it seriously)
Pretty sure that the switch 2 OLED will launch a few years later so that people buy the LCD to get access to the new games, and then buy the OLED, making Nintendo twice as much money
Yup. Businesses these days know they can get away with offering the bare minimum quality that consumers will buy, with the intention of selling more frequently rather than offering the best quality products to get customer loyalty like business did decades ago…
As someone who owns a Steam Deck, but have tried an ROG Ally, the increase to 1080p is massive. It's absolutely, 100% worth it, even at 7 inches. And you don't need to always render at native resolution. Dynamic resolutions have been a thing for consoles for more than a decade. And given the advance of software such as FSR and DLSS, we can also upscale reasonably well.
I'm having a hard time justifying wanting a switch 2 over other handhelds right now and that makes me sad.,... like why is Nintendo skimping so much on hardware they're falling behind by the minute
That's right, bro. They should make an Oled screen. I'm happy to pay money for it. If compared with quality Anyway, it's worth the money. If you don't have a clue Why create an LCD screen? Otherwise, do both: LCD screen and Oled Nintendo, what are you thinking?
Probably because the money they’d spend on OLED is being spent on actually good internals? A massive price hike would hurt its sales more than any screen could.
Hope the Switch 2 don’t cost more then the Switch OLED, I use to own a Switch Lite but didn’t care for the battery life & that you could not remove the joy cons, plus the screen was small. I always wanted to get a Switch OLED but I don’t know if it’s worth buying now especially when there a Switch 2 coming out next year.
It definitely will cost more than the OLED Model, and that’s fine. I definitely wouldn’t recommend getting an OLED model due to the fact the Switch 2 will outperform the Switch 1 tenfold. I’m not kidding too if we compare the Switch 1 chip with the heavily, heavily rumored Switch 2 chip, the leap in power is huge.
Hope they release this mid November. I would love to get this for my son and picking up the gold LITE switch tomorrow for Christmas. He also has the last console as well. I personally love the switch just a great overall consul.

i believe the "WHEN" of the new Switch 2 is when Nintendo finalizes a "Zelda quality" killer game to go with the launch. Hardware-wise, they should totally have secretly developed Switch 4 already

More power in the Switch 2 is great (and expected). First of all, yes all old titles will run more smoothly from now on but way more importantly: WE WON'T HEAR ANY DEVELOPERS COMPLAIN ANYMORE. LCD launch will make it cheaper. And they could use a better lcd than last time.
They should just go mini led
Comparing $800 iPhone with switch 🙄🤦♂️
@@Dextermorga yeah the switch is 600
An LCD screen feels like going back to the Mesozoic era.
I bought A15 for a hundred bucks and it had AMOLED, like cmon Nintendo 😂
@@qud3913you don't even know its LCD stop complaining
@@BowserEditz People like you is why Nintendo will cheap out on the screen, lol
@@qud3913 again U DONT KNOW THAT so how about you shut up and actually wait for official news
Feels like they leaving the door open for a switch 2 OLED further on down the line as sales start to slow
@@staticshocker69waaack just give us the option
As someone who uses switch on portable most of the time , i would love to see it evolve to be like the asus portable deck with big screen and tv dock , and please make a bigger battery
yeah me too
I would like to see a VAST improvement in the Switch 2 WiFi capabilities. The Switch gets abysmal speeds. I don't really care about the screen as I'm not really into handheld gaming, I really prefer to play on a much larger TV or monitor.
Would also help with gamepass or streaming
I have oled which only got 15hrs playtime since day 1. I admit kinda play lots of games but mu gripe UI kinda laggy especially browsing eshop. I badly want better hardware.
I hope that they made a good dpad not like the switch lite, the d-buttons are fine, i prefer those
I wish the switch 2 would just hurry up and release already 😭 my current switch is about to explode any day now
Onb
Will the new games still be able to be played on the original switch?
I have the lite version. I would consider getting it for the larger screen.
And maybe an oled screen.
I started with lite but oled took my gaming experience to whole new level❤. If i had a lite i would absolutely purchase switch 2. You’ll love it.
Damn it i really wanted it to be out in or before October so i could get it for my birthday
I only hope we can play fortnite in 60 fps with high settings
It’ll probably be something like 1360x768 rather than 1080p, thats a lot of extra power draw for not much gain at that size
And given the advance of software such as FSR and DLSS, we can also upscale reasonably well.
they'll might say it's 4k to play only few games and watching yt and when docked for commercial reasons
@@TheTarkuoss i mean just for portable, docked will absolutely support 4k
I dont care anything about switch 2. I just hope they make 60FPS 😢
Unity and Unreal Engine had a giggle at your expense.
Will you be able to use the old games for the new one?
I'm having a hard time justifying wanting a switch 2 over other handhelds right now and that makes me sad.,... like why is Nintendo skimping so much on hardware they're falling behind by the minute
Going LCD (BACKWARDS) technology, that just hurt its sales already
Makes zero sense, like why? Oh, only to sale the oled later . Greed!
Strange decision indeed. Maybe afraid of too much of a price hike?
Your forgetting who buys most switches
I’m not kidding too if we compare the Switch 1 chip with the heavily, heavily rumored Switch 2 chip, the leap in power is huge.
if its more powerful with new modern hardware wouldnt be suprised
Hope they release this mid November. I would love to get this for my son and picking up the gold LITE switch tomorrow for Christmas. He also has the last console as well. I personally love the switch just a great overall consul.
i don't mind paying $699 just throw all the power you can forget about battery 4 hours is enough
FYI, that joycon dock has been out for years. I bought it years ago, and yes it was a Nintendo one.
Maybe your country didn't get it until now. Not sure. But yeah, been using it to charge the kids joycons for years.
A very weak LCD screen. Nintendo must keep up with the times by making an OLD screen, especially as we are approaching the year 2025.
should I wait or should i buy the switch oled?
I'd say hold, it will most likely be backwards compatible
Wait if when it comes out you can buy the oled cheaper or the switch 2
Dreaming of RDR2 on Switch 2
It's like the Wii and Wii U
The first one is good, and the changes are marginal. Not worth getting the new one
Nintendo needs to release both the LCD and Oled versions. After Oled Switch I can’t go back to LCD!
Then theres no need for an lcd if you wont even get back to it 😂.
I hope they just fix the controllers, they take way too fast to break for its pricing
Bro I literally just bought a new switch like a day ago, now another one is coming out?! My luck is just bad😂
Bruh the Switch 2 was announced in June. It’s been all over RUclips.
But I’m not judging, I bought my OLED in 2021 and not planning to buy the 2 anytime soon.
But just a piece of advice I learned from my dad, always research at least a bit before making large purchase (heck even a small one) especially with tech. Whether it’s a TV, air conditioner, anything.
Worse than a steam deck? THATS really disappointing
It would be criminal to downgrade from OLED to Lcd.
I wont buy it unless they keep the OLED panel.
Why is Nintendo always behind in technology? LCD screen? The psp had oled like wtf? 12 gb of ram? Why not 16 gb of ram? That’s so crazy… lcd. So ridiculous. I love Nintendo but why do they always have low end graphics… it a bummer…
OG joycons are waaaay to small for my hands. Kept giving me hand cramps. Changed them out to a third party one (hori).
Yeah the Wii remotes were actually way better for people with disabilities too.
My dad who has MS and my 90 yo grandpa used to be able to play bowling on Wii Sports back in the day. It was so cute.
Tried to get my dad to try with a joy con and he couldn’t hold it and press the button, even with remapping them. 😢
i believe the "WHEN" of the new Switch 2 is when Nintendo finalizes a "Zelda quality" killer game to go with the launch. Hardware-wise, they should totally have secretly developed Switch 4 already
The only feature that I would like to have is: Playing old Nintendo DS games on the switch!!!
that’s hard to do without remaking the games because the DS had two screens
@@Invintiusturn the screen around
Cant wait to jailbreak the switch 2 and unlock its full power after fixing the heating issue it'll most certainly have
I have a switch 1, back from 2018 or something i think. I was considering going for the Switch Oled, but i wanted to wait for the switch 2, i was very unsure of the release date tho, but i think you have a good point in what your saying. good video!
720p is fine on a 7/8" screen, that would allow more games to run at 60fps, or new gen games at 30fps
i just want a new mario kart 9 with a track maker. like mario kart maker! this would be nice
Your editing and and thumbnails remind me of mrwhosetheboss
Why would they not also release an OLED model at launch? Ridiculous.
I’m kind of really annoyed that I’m going to have to buy all new crap for this along with the console which I’m sure will take forever to get 🙄 I wish they’d make the old stuff compatible
Aint no way its LCD. Nobody is buying that
I will
LCD is not bad💀 you realize there's different Qualities of LCD they're probably keeping the OLED model for the Switch 2 Pro model
@@itzdcxnintendo doesnt use high quality anything. Its delusional to think that if they used lcd it would be a high quality one.
the lcd of the og switch is bad but the ps portal and the og steam deck are lcd
@@terraneitorr nintendo will not use a good lcd because they are nintendo
More power in the Switch 2 is great (and expected). First of all, yes all old titles will run more smoothly from now on but way more importantly: WE WON'T HEAR ANY DEVELOPERS COMPLAIN ANYMORE. I really hated that almost all developers of games for the Switch were held back by the low performance of the Switch. We might finally get better quality games.
I really really hope they bring back the jazz in the menus
I hope those controllers are sturdier. I go through so many.
why this video come out to me when i bought nintendo switch oled 1 week ago...

Well don't worry tho . Just because the next gen will release, doesn't mean it's going to be definitely better than switch tho
1:10 Definitely Fusion of the start and select buttons
I'm a huge sucker for the Pokemon special edition Switch Console's. So as soon as the Switch 2 releases a Pokemon special edition model that will be my cue to finally buy one, Until then I will just stick with my Switch Oled.
9:48 are we aren’t going to talk about how helldivers 2 is casually sitting on the switch 2?
I just want them to be able to up the item limit on Disney Dreamlight Valley! And to stop it from crashing so much.
I want:
-To still have my online purchased game library
-Better thumbsticks for aiming
-Good reason to buy over a legion Go, steam deck or ROG Ally and to not buy a PS5 pro
1. Yes
2. Probably
3. The games, there's your reason
Can’t wait for the switch 2
Was boutta type a long comment about what I want for the next system even when nobody cares but I’m just gonna leave it plain and simple and say I want there to be more personality and life and most importantly the system is fun!
The remappable back button on the new joycon doesn't sound very much like Nintendo. I don't think it's gonna happen.
It’ll be a cool & even $399
It makes so much sense with inflation & backwards compatibility
The only change I need is to make the switch international and not us forced to buy them through third party with skyrocketing prices, if I do not belong to select 5 countries
they better include anti aliasing when upscaling to docked mode. really sucks to have the picture butchered on some titles
I want a actual home console. Not some handheld you can plug into the tv. I think there should be a handheld line and a home console line just like Nintendo has always done
Do you think it will come within the next year? What month will you come? If it doesn't go on sale next year, I'll probably have to buy a PS 5 Pro and wait with hope. Nintendo switch 2 really wants to be able to play it ?❤
March most likely also the ps5 pro will be minor and just realy a gpu upgrade and that’s it
Nintendo themselves confirmed it will be revealed before March 2025, there is an extremely small chance it will be 2026
@@TonyDaExpert I hope it will be like that. Please come within the next year. Ready to buy it The more you follow, the more you really want it. Nintendo fans like me are so patient that we can't take it anymore haha❤️
And I want the Nintendo Switch 2 to have an Oled screen. I'm definitely willing to pay for it. Making a new model should have an Oled screen❤
Is it not being announced in august-October this year and releasing at march?
its okay if not 1080p, just make 60fps 720p with oled , we will happy with that
As someone who owns all the modern consoles, I have recently decided I don’t want to play them anymore and gotten into retro gaming.
Which brings me to Switch and wanting to play all the Mario and Zelda games. I don’t think anyone wants to play AAA games. Players want Nintendo games.
