Far from junk, the Squier vista series is really sought after, they are great instruments. Beautiful bass :)
Thats what I was thinking. The work junk just gets thrown around. Some people just don’t see the value
I noticed this too on his titles. I think though it may be a mistranslation as I think he is japanese. I think he means a trashed instrument not that the instrument is junk. I was also triggered when he called a lawsuit era tokai strat a junk guitar
@@GrimYak I was also going to comment this. This user is totally in Japan based on the tools being used. "Junk" is labeled as an official term on second-hand goods here which just means no returns, no warranty. There is usually something broken or cosmetically bad about the item, so its just listed as "Junk" for the buyer to take responsibility for.
@@GrimYak yea from what i've seen machine translations of what we'd call like used/untested/parts not working/poor condition usually just translates to "junk", like on yahoo auctions
Man it shows just how much effort you put into restoring these instruments with the finished product. Keep up the great work.
I bought mine for $35 bucks two years ago and spent about $30 additional dollars in some replacement parts.
A fantastic bass indeed!
What a fucking steal !
Jfc why can't I find deals like this
As a lot of others have already commented , its not a junk guitar - far from it. But a good attempt at click bait.
Can I suggest that you dont use a wire brush on chrome? Its overkill. Wash it and the polish the imperfections out. The brush just scratches it. Also thoroughly wipe down any good paint work before you start to polish it, otherwise you are just grinding dirt into it. The exact same process applies to cars. Wash the dirt off first. Good video tho and authentic not a fake resto.
Hi Standard... Great bands!
wtf, at first I thought it was a bronco with a mm inspired pickguard! it's nice to see some love for mm basses! pretty rare nowadays.
must be owned by someone who's into punk. love the decals especially the hi-standard one.
Have watched nearly all your videos amazing stuff keep up the good work
Beautiful work. I wish I still had my '71 Musicmaster Bass. Yours has a matching headstock!
Yo bro, you seriously clean this one. Way to go!!!
That came out real great, it's cool to see refreshed ol relics, please money!
Always wanted one of those. Looks like its got a pickup upgrade. Great Job!!
Made with real alder body and rosewood fingerboard! Great modding platform if you can find one cheap.
Nice work, I always enjoy your videos 👍
I see @ 810 Classic Cabinet back there , You know this sounds great .
I just saw the Hi-Standard sticker 👌, there's a part in the finger playing where it sounds like early Descendents if you are familiar with that punk band 👍
OMG 😱 it was very cool vintage bass... vintage strings, vintage stickers.... 😭😭😭😭
Excellent job Friend, shame about the few paint chip's and ding's that were left, have a nice day !!!.
My friend who sadly recently died had a black one of these, very cool bass
Adesivão do Hi-Standard 🤘🔥
Sounds as Fabulous as it looks! Restored, but the relic 'mojo' remains
Nice restoration and thanks that‘s help to quit playing and working on Basses
Another fabulous restoration work 🙂🙂🙂
I thought it was a Squier Musicmaster Bass... 🙂🙂🙂
I didn't know it had thru-body stringing though, but I guess it makes sense because of the short scale length...
Anyway...Great work 👍👍👍
And on top of that you can play 🙂🙂🙂
Stunning!
I love your videos! Don’t ever stop making them pls!
Nice job!
This guitar look like so cool befor renovation imo
Yo he tenido tres Musicmaster Bass USA. Bastante buenos. Y un Squier Musicmaster Vista Series. Este último es el que conservo.
you know you want it to look brand new if you even go as far as cleaning the screws
I've been looking for one of these - nice work!
Ficou demais o vídeo! awesome very cleaner and shining the bass!
Ficou incrível!!!👏😃👏😃👏😃👏😃👏😃👏😃👏😃👏😃👏😃👏😃👏😃👏😃
Nice job
I have this bass in the same colour!
Hi-standard 🤟🏻🤟🏻
Я починил ненужный электрический бас ( I fixed an unnecessary electric bass).
Been looking forward to this, your videos rule!
Wonderful job as usual.
Las rolas que tocas están muy chidas. Son tuyas puedes compartir ?
A HI-standard sticker? It's a punker bass heh heh
nice baseline
Where you buy your instruments? eBay?
Nice job, nice bass
7:58 next time try WD-40 and tin foil smashed into a ball... it will blow your mind how good it polishes chrome without being overly harsh.
Thanks for the very good information.
i will try next time
What function did that spring serve?
Looks great. I hope you didn’t contract communism from touching that thing.🤘🏼
YN **** was a great factory.
It says made in China? Squier manufacturs instruments in China?
Hmm,I might need to know how to do this sooner or later. I have an 80's Harmony bass. It could use a decent cleaning. Still sounds awesome acoustic or with effects. I wouldn't want to shine up or take the stickers off mine. Lots of memories.
muy buena edicion
If that guitar could talk, it wouldn't stop thanking you!!
Punk bass. NEW BASS!!! 👍👍👍👍
Very well done cleaning and reassembling but next time buy some better strings...
Excellent job again.. I think the Bridge isn’t original, and is off a Musicman SUB Bass
That is the original bridge. Like on Fender Musicmasters, but four saddles instead of four. I have the same '97 Squier with the same bridge. The Mustang (similar bridge but even closer to a Music Man Sub, because of the dampers) and Musicmaster were the last Leo Fender designs and that's why you see similar bridges on Music Mans.
The color is the same as billie joe armstrongs
the pickup guard can be bleached with 40 volume peroxide water.
Thanks for the very good information.
i will try next time
It surely had more soul before? Also not sure why you are wearing a mask?
Balloons - Pabalum
54-71 - cracked
The back horn - 孤独な戦場(Kodoku na enjyo, Lonely Battlefield)
Phrases of Hand Habits
the back horn
That action looks horrendous
I would have just left it exactly the same, all dirty, same stickers just make it sound but good job keep it up!!!
Did you put oil on the fingerboard?
Yes, I used a special fretboard oil called "Nekodamari Kobo Beeswax Wax," which I omitted in the video.
You are in Saitama I'm i n Tokyo Ginza I 'ill send my old Stagg telecaster
Keren!
👏👏👏........
Congratulations, it looks great, but sounds like crap!!!
I’m learning Japanese and love Ibanez guitars! Are you from Japan?
Yes, I am Japanese.
I like Ibanez guitars myself!
@@studioasyl my name is Tyler! It’s nice to meet you!
tHAT'S NOT JUNK!
Würdest du mir die bassgitarre verkaufen
anyone else think he ruined it?
a quick wipe down and fixing the electronics would’ve been sufficient. the most disrespectful thing was removing the hi-standard sticker. the nut reinstall and neck alignment are questionable. garbage strings=no tone.
@@Basementn3k0 I agree with the Hi-Standard decal point lmao. I thought every japanese, especially loves HI-STANDARD! Guess I was wrong
You're a good cleaner. Pity you aren't a luthier
Fake
Wow 🤩 great job.looks brand new again I personally don’t like stickers on any musical instruments.mine is a 1978 music master bass. I it’s black original.
You clean up this fkin bass, and ?
