The first thing that came to mind when I saw it was : " Oh my God..." Fabulous restoration work... I myself have been a professional guitar tech and builder for 36 years so I can appreciate great work when I see it...
i admire the effort you put into restoring these guitars. i like the asmr aspect of it too. im not a fan of cleaning/restoring old, beaten, used guitars just so they can look normal and look like the rest of the guitars youll find on a music store. obviously theyre player guitars, modified to look unique for the audience. these guitars have history, mojo and stories to tell.
Good show! B.C. Rich is not a cheap brand. I can't even imagine the circumstances that made this guitar a junker. You brought this back to the dignity it deserves.
I wouldn't have removed that design for a thousand - it was cool - and very original . Just clean it up , set it up , and go !!!! Now its like all the rest.😢 It was rock and roll !! Now its ....... well ...
This guitar had nice artwork. You should have just restored the hardware and preserved the original art. I wonder what you'd do to Eddy Van Halen's guitar?
You placed the bridge pickup in the neck position and the neck pickup in the bridge position. Not the end of the world, but it could make balancing the pickups' volume very hard.
Thank you for saving the guitar. Before. Overkill on the paintwork, painting the tuners, the temalo and etc🤣 Amateur 80's copy. After, professional preparation, reasembeling, finishing and touches . The white body tastefully sets off by the " Black BC Rich Humbuckers".. ✌️🤘🇦🇺
Love your videos, the guitars are amazing after all your hard work on them. I like buying beaten up guitars and restoring them but you do the best job I’ve seen, nice one👍🏻
Honestly, I think the artwork was original and unique, though the paint job maybe was not perfect. After the restoration, the guitar looks just as any other guitar off the shelf. I think restoring it functionally while preserving the unique artwork would have been more interesting
where on earth do you find all these poor desecrated instruments? i AM glad you can fix them..to see some of the treatment they have been thru... amazing work!
it is a BC rich guitar, I wouldnt be surprised if the paint job looked like that from the factory and it was just dirty and you sanded it all out but it looks nice in the end aswell
You are doing a great job restoring those guitars.. but I have to say some of these 80sy patterns are pretty dman cool. I would like to see a transformation of such a guitar to basically the same design but done properly :)
The design would have been great If done properly and the guitar had a recessed floyd rose. It looks like It was done In a hurry and not with the proper time taken...
Trash to treasure. Gotta say those soldering spots on the pots are flawless. Makes me want to rip into my guitars just to resolder them all! 🤣 Awesome restoration. The frets look amazing!
So Im curious what do you do with these guitars once you have restored them, are they for sale or do you restore for friends. I d like to buy one if they are up for sale.
as much of a hunk of garbage this guitar was at the beginning, i cant help but think the guy who painted the body had something good in mind course, painting the tuners and such definitely didn't help, but the pattern actually looks rather unique
Yes it looks much better than before that's for sure. However you had a filler, why didn't you fill all the dings and dongs, why did you leave the paint with an orange peel, why didn't you clearcoat it afterwards and where's the stepped wet sanding from 800 to 5000 grit? I mean if you go through the pain of disassembling a guitar, stripping its paint off, doing a good job on the neck might as well do the paintjob correctly too while you're at it even if it's loads of work and the guitar isn't worth it.
The first thing that came to mind when I saw it was : " Oh my God..."
Fabulous restoration work...
I myself have been a professional guitar tech and builder for 36 years so I can appreciate great work when I see it...
Thank you very much.
It is the greatest pleasure to receive compliments from a professional builder.
It will encourage us in the future.
Dude, you have to open your own guitar and bass repair shop, the way you breathe new life into seemingly dead instruments is inspiring
Tastes aside, the restoration made me feel like the guitar was loved again.
you did some amazing work there i also think you should have redone the original graphics it would have come out awesome thank you for the video
Great restoration but the original graphics on these guitars look a lot cooler before
Haha, yeah, I always seem to like the 'before' look better.
Nah.. Looks like the paint wizard done spunker doodled all over it: FWOP FWOP FWOP FWOP…
Ugly
You gotta admit, the paint job it had before he restored it was pretty cool looking

Yep this is my fave restoration you have done so far. It looked beautiful with the clear coat over the wood grain too.
Man, you really resurrected that thing! Impressive work on this one especially, sir.
Good show! B.C. Rich is not a cheap brand. I can't even imagine the circumstances that made this guitar a junker. You brought this back to the dignity it deserves.
it is a chinese replica
@@badspy100 It's ASM1 I guess.
You did your demo justice by switching amps for the clean and dirty sections. Little details but big impact on me nice job! 🔥🔥🔥
At least the headstock was left original. Beautiful work!
I wouldn't have removed that design for a thousand - it was cool - and very original . Just clean it up , set it up , and go !!!! Now its like all the rest.😢
It was rock and roll !!
Now its ....... well ...
Wow great job you brought this guitar back to life. Fantastic job...
Excellent job restoring a B.C. Rich ASM 1 circa 2011-2013.
Awesome work! But, I have to say that the original graphics look cool also. The music sounded badass!
It always looks better once you start playing it.

Your best video yet top job
Great job, I would love this guitar after you finished it.👍🏼
where on earth do you find all these poor desecrated instruments? i AM glad you can fix them..to see some of the treatment they have been thru... amazing work!
getting off that old paint is a real PITA..
You just have a new subscriber, awesome work!!! ❤ cheers from Mexico
nice job! this is the omanco guitar!!
Now i'm sad... it's original paint was really cool and unique. This is your guitar and you can do whatever you want btw.
I gotta laugh at the animals that take a fine instrument and paint it so badly. These are great restoration lessons.
Awesome job, you made a beautiful guitar
Well done, you did an awesome job, man 👍
it is a BC rich guitar, I wouldnt be surprised if the paint job looked like that from the factory and it was just dirty and you sanded it all out but it looks nice in the end aswell
Amazing work.
Subbed I love restoration videos and it's even cooler when they are guitars.
Thank you.

I’m sorry, but who the hell paints the machine heads? I’m really really enjoying these videos you do absolutely amazing work!
Amazing work. My favourite one so far..
Agreed. Love that he stripped it all the way back to the wood.
another amazing restore sir!
You are doing a great job restoring those guitars.. but I have to say some of these 80sy patterns are pretty dman cool. I would like to see a transformation of such a guitar to basically the same design but done properly :)
Same opinion. Love 80' vibe of initial design. If it were professionally painted, it would be really unique instrument.
you inspire me to do a better finishing job
Gran bel lavoro!
That hacksaw blade pattern on the lower body was pretty cool! Nice work!!!
@@studioasylan Eddy Van Halen "FrankenStrat? So very cool!
Have you thought about checking into ultrasound parts cleaners? You wouldn't have to work so hard stripping parts.
@@studioasylwhere are you found this guitars???
Great job! But forgot one back cover and the neck truss rod cover? Greetings.
I liked it Harley Quinn Ed but it looks good.
A outra pintura tinha personalidade!
Cool video but I think I would have kept the original design of the paint job. It was really cool
another saved guitar wreak but do you use real lead solder on the joints, thanks for a good video of a brand that's underrated today
Looks fantastic...but why didnt you also Made a truss rod cover out of this plastic Peace?
Someone had no idea what they had. I've never seen a BC Rich go for under a $1000.
Superbe restauration 🤘
Le bonjour de 🇫🇷
Now we've all seen, the body of the expensive B.C. Rich glued from four boards
The design would have been great If done properly and the guitar had a recessed floyd rose.
It looks like It was done In a hurry and not with the proper time taken...
That's a lot of work for a Chinese made guitar. Wouldn't it have been easier just to throw it into a wood chipper and then buy a PRS?
Awesome work! As others have said, I really liked the before graphic. Would love to see it redone professionally! Original had a very EVH vibe to it…
Legal demais! Só faltou instalar ponte e tarraxas gotoh.
Bravo excellent job!!! 👏 👏 👏 👏
Thank you!
B.C.Rich asm 1ですね。
i woulda left the paint that design is sick
I wanted to know what goes on in the head of a person who destroys a guitar doing these crazy paintings
I’m sorry… but the guitar was so cool… a little clean up and retouch… it gave me ideas 🤓… 🤣

Amazing work brother.
Thank you!!
awesome! just one thing tho, i think the bridge and neck pickups were reversed during reassembly. :)
thank you!
Certainly the pickup was the opposite.
I fixed it after posting the video.
Do you ever tune way down? Say to C, B or maybe even A?
Does finger board need olive oil, lemon oil or linseed oil?
So Im curious what do you do with these guitars once you have restored them, are they for sale or do you restore for friends. I d like to buy one if they are up for sale.
Sometimes we sell them on Yahoo!
Muito bom😊
What is that coller removeing liquid name? ? That ac tone or other things??
Paint was removed with lacquer thinner.
Just one question, you don’t apply copper shield on your electronic cavity ? It’s an easy upgrade for only few bucks
I will try conductive paint on the cavity next time I get a chance.
Looks nice but I'm sorry you got rid of the crappy graphics on the body.
Next vid..... Restoring junk pants.

Looks like you put the pickups in the wrong positions, neck and bridge swapped.
what type of the cleaner liquid do you use at 11:55 , I need to clean my tuner and chrome hardware but can not find an effective cleaner.
This is done using a lacquer thinner.
Nail polish remover can be substituted.
