    Human brain is very good at adapting to everything. DJI latency will be perfectly good for most flying. Flying with 90HZ HDZero will definitely cause issues with the feel of DJI. :)

    • @Nathan_Adams
      @Nathan_Adams  5 месяцев назад

      100%, the human brain can fly through some of the craziest breakup and get used to even the most extreme latency. Flying them back to back does highlight the difference, for both positive and negative on both systems.

    Sounded like some heavy trilling on the HDZero grinderino when punching throttle.

      In person it is clean, the mic does not do it justice (I also forgot to reduce the HDZ microphone in the video timeline, so there is a bit of a echo it gives it that trill vibe 😂). It does trill... A lot... on 6s without a pretty hefty motor output limit.

      Congratulations and thank you. It is kind of a weird time for FPV, there have never been more choices or less certainty with stuff like the DJI ban looming. The big advantage to HDZero goggles is that if everything else fails, you can always count on analog 😂

    Can not wait to see what the 04 air unit will feel like. Hd 0 is a good system ill stick with dji because i tree serf and need to see everything. I feel no matter what susyem you get you will be happy with them. I will say i got dji when it first come out and i have never blown up a air unit i have replace camera wire but all my old air units still work years latter. Dji wins deribility test for me

      I could not agree more! For tree surfing, 03 is extremely tough to beat, with the exception of the 03 camera, DJI's durability is near bulletproof, and most important of all, fly the system that you enjoy. 🥂

    I find it hard to do fast freestyle on the o3 it just sometimes lags inconsistently like in a middle of a spin it starts delaying more

    • @Nathan_Adams
      @Nathan_Adams  4 месяца назад

      Yeah, timing/feel tricks like inverted yaw spins are way less consistent with variable latency. I feel that is why we see less of tricks like that now.

    • @Nathan_Adams

      I normally run crossfire at the lower frequency/packet rate (50) and max power (1w) for mid and long range flights, for freestyle I use the highest frequency/packet rate (150) and max power as well.

    • @Nathan_Adams

      I did not expect that when doing the back to back runs, and thought it was just me. I am curious why the feel is different when comparing to bench testing by Mads tech that seems to show the opposite. I am going to see if I can feel the vista vs 03 latency

    You mentioned something you said you were 4K 100 You should actually try 2.7 k100 which is true low latency mode. I think technically 4K actually gives you 60 FPS not true 100 FPS from what I've seen testing. 😊 As far as latency goes

    • @Nathan_Adams
      @Nathan_Adams  4 месяца назад

      To the best of my knowledge mostly having back to back tested, the resolution does not seem to matter, it is just what is recorded on the Air Unit and then a 1080 live feed is broadcast to the Goggles. I tried all the resolutions at 120fps on Goggles V2 and 100fps on Goggles 2 and I could not see a different flying or when doing the flashlight bench test that Bardwell has used.

    Hey Nate, looks like you have been putting out some nice videos. I’ve been on the fence about getting Hd zero for over a year now and currently still flying analogue. I would say I have pretty decent image. I wanted to go to a digital system to get the better image quality and also wanted to keep that low latency feeling. Although I feel I’ll be giving up some penetration I’ve decided to go HD zero as I am hoping it will give me a better image quality than my analogue and I will keep that connected feel, so somewhere in the middle. My freestyle v2 has arrived today. 🤞.
    Also seen your video on the G4 Alpha and beta flight comparison. I’ve flown the G4 for a number of years now but kiss firmware, this new build I’m gonna be trying the pre loaded Alpha. Nice work 👍

    • @Nathan_Adams
      @Nathan_Adams  5 месяцев назад +1

      Nice! And thank you. The fettec alpha and kiss firmware are wonderfully easy to setup and are easy to get flying great with presets. As for the penetration, it will always be a trade off with latency. The more I fly it, the more I am really liking the low latency for freestyle.

  • @CalleyyyC
    @CalleyyyC 5 месяцев назад +2

    So when you did the video sync at the beginning for DJI, it would remove the additional base latency (~35 or 40ms?) since you’re syncing it, so what you’re seeing in the slowed down demonstration while flying is the variable latency on top of that?
    Great video by the way, enjoyed watching it!

    • @Nathan_Adams
      @Nathan_Adams  5 месяцев назад

      I did a visual sync before and after the flight (like the clap board they use in traditional film and tv productions). I was surprised how close the sync stayed during the recording, with only 2 frames +/- on all the recordings.

    • @Nathan_Adams
      @Nathan_Adams  6 месяцев назад +1

      If you have no obstructions in front of you, A "friend of mine" flew out 6 km (3.7ish miles) and back. Botgrinder also flew I think 8km (4.9ish miles) out and 8k back. You do have to run a good set of patch antennas and a big tall antenna on the quad, but hdzero can be very good at long range.

    So basically a good advice would be, stick with just one of the 2 systems so u wont notice differences

    • @Nathan_Adams
      @Nathan_Adams  3 месяца назад +1

      Especially starting out that seems to be a good plan. Eventually having multiple systems isn't a bad idea depending on what you get into when it comes to flying FPV. If DJI had small whoop vtxs or HDZero offered a two way transmission/retransmission system, then I feel it could be the "best" system. Avatar is currently in the middle and offers some advantages of both, but is not the best at any one thing.

      @@Nathan_Adams do you have review of avatar? I dont even know what is it

    • @Nathan_Adams
      @Nathan_Adams  3 месяца назад +1

      @@El_Muffy Avatar is a system that is really similar to the Vista from DJI. It is made by Caddx and has a decent amount of options for VTX and cameras. Since I like to use a product for 6+ months before making a review and have not purchased a set of goggles and vtxs for myself, I have not felt comfortable making a review video. I have flown the system a bunch, borrowing friends goggles and quads, so I feel comfortable saying it is a good middle ground and worth considering.

    nice hopefully your dji just needed a little update like i bolted my dji o3 to my traxxas xmaxx with just 4 cell just powering it didn't fuss over the drones ECU if remember right the low power state would normally kick in if got lower then a round 20 volts... indeeds it's down to everyone's setup analog for the range because the only thing that put me off them is when it image goes static like the old CRT Tv's 😋

    • @Nathan_Adams
      @Nathan_Adams  5 месяцев назад

      If you were using an 03 air unit, how are you standing at the flight controller arm signal to get it to go to full RF power. That is one of the downsides of the '03 air unit is needing an arm signal to go to full RF power and to record. Kind of annoying when you have something like a wing or an RC car with no flight controller stock.

    • @chriscampbell9199
      @chriscampbell9199 5 месяцев назад

      the arm hasn't been to bad for me since i only have power wired to the 4 cell battery an just tap the record on the goggles an go like i can DM pic of my system but peeps like Mad Techs an Joshua Bardwell would have more details about it many tricks on the net @@Nathan_Adams
