- This is just a fun little video, comparing my $6000 Alpha Theta Euphonia Mixer to my newly acquired $6 mixer I bought a a thrift store.
Obviously. There is no real comparison, but it is interesting to see some of the things that almost appear better on the cheaper mixer. The IRig Mix us surprisingly fun to play on. Sometimes less is more.
All prices are Canadian
They raised the price on tha mixer to 6K? In US it is 3.5K. If you throw some efx on the irig and one more eq it will be good enough so that the average person in your basic club would not be able to tell the difference. That's the best part about all this expensive DJ gear- only DJs realize it, the average clubbers can not tell the difference. That's why you don't really need it.
The 6 dollar mixer sounds better
Only a idiot should spend 6000 dollars on a china mixer Enough said
I used an iRig for a few years as my back up and my iPad mixer
I honestly liked it. Easy. Small toss in a bag
Cool video! Quick question, I’m your opinion, what would you choose, xdj xz or pair of sc6000 and mixer?
Where’d you find it for $6?

hey Steve, what sort of webcam or camera do you use for your videos? Thanks.
This video was shot using my A24 Ultra. Sometimes I use a sony zv-1f
@@TheDJLab Thanks Steve. Just a few more questions: 1. Are you also using a full frame kit (lens) with the camera (body)? 2. Is the camera running via camlink 4k or ATEM into OBS? 3. Are you recording the audio separately using a mic via an audio interface like focusrite? Thanks for the time. love your work.
The sony has fixed lens. Hdmi into ATEM mini. Usb from mixer for audio.
So in Canada, the MSRP is almost double?
It's just over $6000 with our 13% sales tax. But ya. We have a third party Canadian distributor so I'm sure that doesn't help with the price in Canada.
Is that $6 Canadian? $3 USA Vs $6000 Canadian and $3000 USA?
Well, i could use the $6 mixer due to budget for now until I can get the money for a $6000 mixer.
$6 wins it for me, no annoying looper or effects
£60 not 6
I paid $6 CAD at a thrift store
@@TheDJLab Nice find Steve, I've been trawling Ebay and UK 2nd hand stores for one.
And you know how it it, I've now seen one that's been had for 6, anything else is expensive :)
