It’s still cheaper than a used Rane MP2015. Hopefully AlphaTheta comes out with a 2 channel version as well. Finding a Rane MP2014 is impossible. A 2 channel Euphonia, I’d pre order that immediately
I've been a rotary Xone 92 owner for as long as I remember. I never see my rotary xone at a gig. My close DJ friend owns a rotary Mastersounds. I do love a rotary, but at gigs, it is usually linear mixers in the booth. I watch your videos and fluctuate between dreaming about the A9, the 96, The V10. Now you've presented this badboy, and I think I'm in love.....with all of it...... (except the price). Thank you once again for this informative review.
Do you think those flagship pioneer mixers have better audio fidelity than the older DJM series? I know they're probably not Xone level quality but my experience with pioneer DJ gear makes me skeptical of their more scheduling products
I think they finally cracked it with the V10 on sound quality. Our Venue mixer is a Xone92. When we have to put a 900 in it never sounds as good, but we have had a V10 on one occasion and it was just a little more transparent than the 92, so I'm expecting this thing to be good.@@marianobbms

Looks cool, but pretty useless considering there are few ways on it to actually sculpt the frequency bands. Probably the biggest use will be to see how the transformer saturation is changing the response.
Mojax has a lot to answer for after he converted me to rotary’s due his comprehensive, honest and excellent reviews of rotary mixers. Especially the mastetsounds radius which I bought as a result, but then sold to buy this beast! And oh my word it’s worth the hype! Thank you Mojax for destroying my bank balance!😂
Mojaxx with the definitive review as always. Awesome mixer. Best of the new. And analog sound quality. Pros: 1) most analog rotary mixers do not have a mic input. This does. 2) most rotary analog mixers don’t have built in sound card (except xone96 and mp2015). This does and works with Rekordbox , Traktor and Serato without needing a Motu sound card for example. Easily a $600 saving and no messy audio cables. 3) rotary faders come standard - xone 96 rotary sound kit u need to spend more money. 4) analog VU meters - a nice bonus for metering rather than boring led lights 5) built in isolators - a bonus and nice to have. 6) built in sound effects that quantize - awesome. Kinda like having a 900nxs2 or rmx1000 built in for free. 7) Rupert Nieves transformer- game changer for that nice fat analog sound. For all these reasons this “hybrid” mixer is a game changer. Alpha Theta hit a home run here. For rotary purists who are pissed out soiling their bedsheets (Mastersounds, Isonoe, Condesa etc) the value you get with this mixer and the sound quality and features - its the best in the market. it’s a no brainer. Best mixer I ever owned hands down.
Incredibly well put about how this may actually boost sales for rotary competitors. My first reaction was - they dared to go there!!! Great review as standard...
Best channel to get a review on gear like this. Appreciated Mojaxx. 👌 We are working on opening a listening bar and something like this would be so awesome to have for that. 🔥
Cool mixer, that VU meter is a lot of fun to have vs looking at a laptop screen. Personally I prefer faders so I'll be sticking with my model 1 and all analog circuitry.
This looks from what you had shown this is a Rotary Contender for the DJ Booth, totally amazing. Well impressed, they are coming out with gins blazing in different areas. Great video as always the price but what you said is true no other interface to bring it all together in one package. Wow!
As a DJ, who is also an audio engineer, I can appreciate the metering very much. This would double as a studio tool for sure. I think they got a lot of things right here it seems. I have some things to think about. Lol.
This is the best thing that could have happened for the indie boutique small shops like Condesa, Resor, Alpha Recording System and Varia Instruments as Pioneer will pretty much introduce rotary mixers to the masses/mainstream. That can only help boost the smaller players in the market. As I previously stated, I see hand built rotary mixers costing somewhere between 6k-7k in the future as increased demand will drive up the prices. Get one now while you can!!
@@12bitizthewaytogo92Even a toddler knows that the law of supply and demand is what drives market prices you buffon! People are already paying $3500-$4000 for these mixers as it is today. People will pay whatever the market dictates...
Great review Mojaxx! I like the digital aspect that this presents but I'm not sure this will replace my ARS, Resor, MS 4V or Urei 1620 but it certainly will make Rotaries more popular. I knew a major player would jump into this boutique arena but I really thought it would be Denon. This is a welcome addition and really should have been the first release for Alpha Theta. This is the only legit review, I watched the others… they don’t have a clue! Why didn’t Alpha Theta come to the House Music Community and the DJs that use Rotary Mixers. Poor Phil didn’t even know to turn the Pot to 7. He did the entire demo at 5. Then we have the scratch DJs… what?
I’ve use a few Ecler mixers in clubs over the years and although they have been quite beaten up they have been very solid and performed well. I’m in the market for a rotary mixer after just shifting on my Mastersounds Radius 2. A very nice mixer for sure but I want a 3 band EQ per channel, that just suits my style of mixing. This is a contender, absolutely. Great review Mo! Thanks 🙏🏼
I bought a WARM 4 recently, cool form factor, layout and good sound.. but.. poooooooor building components, terrific CUE buttons, listenable click on engage/disengage ISO, knobs very 'weak' to your touch.. promptly shipped back for refund..
This is the review I was looking for. I knew you’d cover everything I wanted to know. I’ve been split for a while if I should get an Isonoe 420 or a V10, two very different mixers. This feels to me like somewhere in between.
It seems that depending on where you run the levels on the channel rotaries you can mix as clean as the V10 or add a touch of analog saturation like the Isonoe. You can also run it even more saturated Think Mastersounds over to the Condessa's. I heard this mixer in Miami at Dante's for MMW. I will get it for sure. It sounds clean and punches like a analog mixer.
This feels very well thought out. I feel sometimes with the slowed down approach to mixing of ‘traditional’ rotaries loses some of the excitement and control I had with using fader mixers. The velocity based channel pots, the digital meter, spectrum analyzer, isolator boost options, and on board effects are such thoughtful features (though I wish there was a digital/spdif master out). Need to sell my current rotary 😅
This is so cool! Can never afford it so I shouldn't comment, but I would love to have seen this with a crossfader with it like the old Vestax rotaries.
I know this is getting a lot of praise and seems like a great package, but why no DJ Pro link? I would have loved to use cue link features with this mixer and attached CDJs. Would have probably been an instant buy from me if it included this.
Looks like a winner. 🥇. I would love to mix on this. And I am a Turntablist who loves the modern battle mixers. But this will make any DJ have fun mixing in a different way. And love the sound that this brings. I will try it at the DJexpo this summer.
Unexpected. And love it. I have a MasterSounds and a model 1.4. Both analog. Love both. But prefer rotary. This one I would buy. Just need to find the funds 😂. Thanks for all these videos and the highly curated content minus the usual ego bullshit of most other channels. Really appreciate it.
Ordered. I think the integration of the effects and the Rupert Neve transformer to the sound. I have a V10 and that sound is stellar, but way overkill for features for me. I'm selling my V10 once this arrives. Simple interface and high quality. I'm in.

Once again, Mojaxx's review is incredibly comprehensive and insightful! While I may not currently be in the market for a rotary mixer, if I were, this one would definitely catch my eye with its 4 inputs per channel, including a USB (computer) input.
I would place color cue stickers on the knobs to match the corresponding color of each channel's needle onscreen. With four needles sharing the same screen with tiny lettering matching colors could help IMO. Still really looking forward to getting my hands on this mixer REAL SOON!!! Great review as always Mojaxx!! ✊🏽
I've felt for awhile that in the modern world, where music is "content" and is playing everywhere all the time, that one role of a DJ will be to (re)elevate music from mere "content". I think these kinds of tools can help with that.
I had a chance to hear this mixer @ Dante's in Miami during MMW. It sounds as good as any other high end rotary mixer. The same weekend a friend played on the Condessa Carmen in Miami. I also have friends that have an ARS and a Xone V6. Also Miami Sound Bar has the Isonoe 420. Dante's had the Mastersounds Valve 4 Mk1 until they put in Euphonia. I also grew up on the Bozak's, Urei's and Rane's in clubs starting in the early 80's. So Ive heard most top end mixers. Honestly, this mixer can hang with the best. I can't say it's the best. But I can't say any one mixer is the best. For me this would scratch the itch of a rotary dj mixer with built in effects and an adjustable iso. This would also replace my SSL 6 and Rme Babyface in the studio for analog summing as well. It's worth the price as you can use it for more than just dee saying. Hope this helps.
Now Ive had a chance to play on this mixer. It's good. I mean it's really good!!! It's worth every penny. Sounds excellent and feels luxurious. Not one complaint whatsoever. The send effects that you can use with the isolator is game changing. It can be subtle or in your face. The summing is on point. Better than any digital mixer I've ever heard. It sounds and feels analog. There hasn't been one reviewer complaining about the Euphoria for a reason. I get it and I'm going to get it. Thanks once again Mojaxx!
I would love to see them come out with a mid-range controller to replace the DDJ 800. It would be awesome for those who don't have that high-end budget. I can see both David Morales and Louie Vega getting their hands on this mixer. It's beautiful and the sound quality is stellar. I can see myself playing long Organic or Soulful House blends on it. The price and way up there.
Great review! This was unexpected, but I love it. I recently picked up a V10LF, but really thinking about this one. Really cool they integrated a Neve transformer too…their sound is unmatched. Did you happen to try this with the X1MK3’s and Traktor? Wondering how that setup would be
As I didn’t have supported beta versions of Serato and Rekordbox until quite late on in the review, I actually used the mixer with Traktor the most out of any software. And it definitely works beautifully with the interface in the Euphonia. The X1mk3 part isn’t really relevant as such, as they’re just controllers, they work the same regardless of what interface you use. But yeah, a pair of X1 MK3s and a Euphonia would be a pretty incredible 4-deck setup!
i still want to be able to adjust the isolator crossovers. it seems fixed at 250 and 3.5k, unless you see in the utility the ability to adjust that. if i can make the mid-band what i want it to be, i will buy this immediately. if not, i am still leaning towards an actual analog boutique like a condesa.
definitely not my cup of tea, rotary + digital. But the idea is very cool, it looks very nice and i salute the innovation! Looking forward to see these in clubs
Nice mixer, but i'm really missing the flanger effect in the effect section. Otherwise this would be a perfect club rotary mixer. Personally i'm perfectly happy with my Omnitronic trm 202mk2 and DJM 700 thow.
What’s the name of version of ‘Blue Monday’ used here please? Great mixer, great review… brings back memories of playing on the Urei in the main room, back in the day, at MOS vibes 😎
It’s by Safety First & G-Wizard. Released on DJcity Records, which is why I use it in lots of videos, for copyright reasons. But also because it’s dope.
I got one and love the sound. Little thing missing is compatibility with djm rec software to feed a mix right into my iphone without any other device in between required. The USB-C connection only accepts linking to a computer. Will now buy irig or something similar which will cost extra money and is something extra you need to take with you. It’s weird because I thought high end devices from Alpha Tetha would have this option.
Fun fact I asked a couple of month ago to a Pioneer DJ France when they were gonna release a rotary mixer, the little bastard said "they might explore this maret" lmfao
I like the new approach to FX and think this mixer might suit my DJing style as I tend to focus more on the EQs. If it had 4-band EQs in isolator mode and a LPF/HPF for each channel, it would be close to my dream mixer. 😅
"Hog Wild" Now thats a interesting Phrase for us here in the U S 😉 I will say YES the Audio and pretty much everything else.. A USB port :0 Everything on this Beast is JUST HOG WILD Great...!😁 AND.. When you look at all the extras that this Euphoria-Euphonia (Sweet) A-T Knobs Mixer includes the price does seem more understanding & acceptable Sir Mojaxx DJ and Gear content extraordinaire TY 4 All U do.
Great review! I don't have a clue about rotary mixing, but isn't a 1/1 beat value a bit short for the maximum amount? I personally use a 2/1 or even 4/1 beat value very often, especially on the echo so i think that would irritate me when playing on there.
It's not the mix bus or a replacement for the master opamps. It's not an inherent or necessary part of the mixer output section, rather is an added component. You can always put something on the analog outs of the V10 to get a similar result... or run the V10 USB out through some VST plugins.
Mojaxx! Great review. If you were sent to Hell and had to listen to Blue Monday on repeat for eternity would you choose the the Union Audio Orbit 6 or Euphonia?
The RND transformer circuit is at output stage but the summing is still digital and that’s where you can’t beat analog mixers. IMHO I’ll still keep my MS, no doubt.
It's just a real shame about the FX routing and limiting their usability to just one at a time and effecting the different frequencies over the master (only) and not on a per channel basis :( Sure, you can add a secondary external FX unit via the master insert, but *most* pedals are set up and used best via send/return so you will have an either or scenario where you can use the external pedal OR use 1 of the onboard FX - Never both at the same time. And why make the HPF a send FX? Just stick one on each channel so you could at least combine a HPF with the send FX at the same time? I'm not sure i see the benefits to those routing choices after the ones they put in the V10 and A9. So so close to being an instant purchase.
Honestly, after reading all the comments in almost all the blogs and yt videos I was expecting the fx section to be an issue. So after playing on the Euphonia to a paradise garage/loft crowd of expat new yorkers in Orlando. The effects layout in use is a non issue of any kind. In fact you can do things that cannot be done on any other mixer/effects combo. It's a trade off from doing things the way we are all use to vs doing things in a way we have never been able to do before. I never used the hpf send on the Euphonia because using the isolator with the 3 settings with the send effects on the different isolator bands was more fun and interesting. It's a new approach mixed with the feel of a rotary from the 70's and 80's. It actually feels better than any rotary mixer I've played on. The eq curve and channel pot curve is on point. Summing is on point. You can tell top global dj's had a say in this mixer. Some people may want a work flow they are use to. I get it and totally understand. Still, I'm loving this mixer in a way I have never before. I'm getting it for certain. Also, I have Denon SC 6000's. So when I get the Euphonia I can always add whatever effects I want from the Denon players.
Yeah, I had a chance to use it out and subsequently bought it! lol I do love the quality of the onboard fx but I stand by my original comment. Not being able to use different fx at the same time is a bit of strange decision. Eg. If I’m using a delay on channel 1 I can’t also use a hpf on channel 2 or even an external fx pedal at the same time. Unless you add via the insert but again, you are looking at external units and very specific ones with insert capabilities. Is it a deal breaker? Absolutely not. Again, I bought it and love it ! It’s like my ugly duckling mixer. So fugly and aesthetically meh but it’s so easy to use and does have a great feeling to it. Re. The fx. I just think it is a backwards step when compared to what they did with the v10 and A9 given their onboard routings. And don’t get me started on it not having dedicated low pass and high pass filters like every other pioneer mixer made in the past 25years! If it sells well, the v2 version will no doubt nail all of my gripes and I’ll be the first in the queue for it!
Walked in skeptical waked out with a wish list item.
same!!!
Ditto!
It’s still cheaper than a used Rane MP2015. Hopefully AlphaTheta comes out with a 2 channel version as well. Finding a Rane MP2014 is impossible. A 2 channel Euphonia, I’d pre order that immediately
The display alone got me
Superb demo! Started thinking it was pricey, finished thinking about side hustles!
touch it before buying. my main gripe is that they reused a lot of the DJM Pots and the isolator selectors feel like cdj cue buttons.
played it all night at a house party last night and is hands down the most ive ever enjoyed any mixer, let alone a rotary. i really love this mixer
Literally a dream come true
Been waiting for something like this since the Vestax 55
Funny how you touch the knobs when the song asks you “How Does it feel?” 😂😂 intentional word play?

Very good and concise review, you've certainly given me some food for thought in regards to my next mixer.
Phil morse sent me here lol , good to see you working in unison...
Man...I know it's expensive but....the value is there!!!
Looks like a lot of fun, that screen is nice.
Certainly a nice surprise.
I‘m all in for more ‚unusual‘ stuff!
Like a XDJ-700MK2 perhaps... 😅
I need that! Exactly what i have been searching for😀
Looks like a dope mixer !
"This would also replace my SSL 6 and Rme Babyface in the studio for analog summing as well."
The Euphonia doesn't have an analog sum bus.
I don't think I've seen Booth EQ in any other mixer I have used! in love with thiis
Lovely in-depth review, very enjoyable and informative!
okay did not expect this but whattt still processing this this is cool! the price is a bit of a barrier but with neve inside i guess worth it
Like always, great review.
A million tracks to choose from, and you hit the jackpot!
such a dope piece! incredible sounding and worth the price tag.
Always on point with the reviews!!!!!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Agree with a compact, mid range, good sounding controller...
Wow 🤩 I know someone who has one truly blown away with it
i still want to be able to adjust the isolator crossovers. it seems fixed at 250 and 3.5k, unless you see in the utility the ability to adjust that. if i can make the mid-band what i want it to be, i will buy this immediately. if not, i am still leaning towards an actual analog boutique like a condesa.
sick concept by A/T. so many beautiful mixers out today. hard to make a choice! track id...?
It’s $7600 AUD in Australia that’s a crazy number to think about 😢😅
definitely going to have to put this one on the back burner 😅
definitely not my cup of tea, rotary + digital. But the idea is very cool, it looks very nice and i salute the innovation! Looking forward to see these in clubs
looks like you are having fun, in your element.
Nice mixer, but i'm really missing the flanger effect in the effect section. Otherwise this would be a perfect club rotary mixer. Personally i'm perfectly happy with my Omnitronic trm 202mk2 and DJM 700 thow.
By the way I was at spiritland king cross last weekend. Definitely a place for this mixer.
Very appropriate track for the review
I got one and love the sound. Little thing missing is compatibility with djm rec software to feed a mix right into my iphone without any other device in between required. The USB-C connection only accepts linking to a computer. Will now buy irig or something similar which will cost extra money and is something extra you need to take with you. It’s weird because I thought high end devices from Alpha Tetha would have this option.
So, no, I pad pro connection? USB C is now standard.
Thanks for this review, if I would have some spare money, this one would be on my list...
Im on the fence. Which sounds better this or Union Audio Orbit 4 LE ?
As a longtime rotary user/owner (Rane MP2015, Urei 1620)…I can’t wait to get my hands on this!💯🔥🤌🏾
"Hog Wild" Now thats a interesting Phrase for us here in the U S 😉 I will say YES the Audio and pretty much everything else..
Whoah its real!
Oh boy, someone sounds very happy about this beauty.... but, oh, if only I had the moolah...
When sending signal to the send FX via the isolator knobs what happens when you turn them anti-clockwise?
Great review! I don't have a clue about rotary mixing, but isn't a 1/1 beat value a bit short for the maximum amount? I personally use a 2/1 or even 4/1 beat value very often, especially on the echo so i think that would irritate me when playing on there.
i wish they would've put a top notch transformer in the v10 too even tho the preamps on it are already pretty good but still
It's not the mix bus or a replacement for the master opamps. It's not an inherent or necessary part of the mixer output section, rather is an added component. You can always put something on the analog outs of the V10 to get a similar result... or run the V10 USB out through some VST plugins.
Thank you! Receiving mine this week
Hopefully they make a hybrid version with crossfader as well. That would have been game over!
Is there a need for a delay function to be excellent?
Before that, I think it's important for DJs to be able to mix well using a rotary mixer😛
How did know Mojaxx was going to play "Blue Monday" for this demonstration? BTW, great review!
Mojaxx! Great review. If you were sent to Hell and had to listen to Blue Monday on repeat for eternity would you choose the the Union Audio Orbit 6 or Euphonia?
Thanks Mojaxx, I'm selling my kidney soon!
Is the mic being recorded through the mic input?
Not a huge fan of rotary mixers but this one does have a lot of potential for those that are definitely into rotary mixers for sure.
The RND transformer circuit is at output stage but the summing is still digital and that’s where you can’t beat analog mixers. IMHO
I’ll still keep my MS, no doubt.
The mic bypassed the isolator. Does it also bypass the effects and record out?
Thanks for the review!
