I think that camera is awesome. Last year I purchased a 4K UHD 360 degree and it was priced at $65 US. It's also shaped like human eye. I would like it to fit on a Gimbal but it's odd shape probably won't work. The features of the Gimball working with the camera providing a smooth professional video stream is very impressive and compact. This could very well be my replacement Airsoft war recorder for my son during military missions. Awesome! Oh by the way, the slow-mo recording on the trail was hilarious. It was a bit goofy and you kept rolling. Thanks for making me laugh.
Are the gopro 5 & 6 the only waterproof action cams without a case? I've got a feiyu tech g5 gimbal which is water resistant but my gopro 4 isn't so it makes it pretty pointless. Have i got any other options for waterproof action cameras besides gopro?
What have you done to your video footage? It is awful! I have a Yi 4K and get much, much better quality video. The sample video here would put anybody off buying one of these action cameras. Also, why didn't you demonstrate the pan and tilt feature using the joystick on the gimbal?
Its taken me over a year to find where i can comment to your vids . Have to say you have never put me wrong . Your top man on youtube with kodi , android boxes , and so on.. big thumbs up. The camera lenses protector is not included as they give you full water case which you are meant to use when outside. I think this why they did not include it.

Does anybody know - I am not sure if the Yi 4K Plus (that uses a type C Connector) would be good enough to add a Rode Mic Boom kit. Has anybody used that set up with an action camera? What would be the quality because the chord (Around 25 Feet) would be attached to the end of a Yi Type C Connector. Would result in good video. Or should I get a different Camera for that. ((Vlogging I'd be doing))

Side to side comparison, SJ8-Pro is more likely the GoPro alternative since it's using the same Processor as the GoPro and a Sony image Sensor. SJCAM SJ-8 Pro is the reason why GoPro was forced to upgrade to "Hero 7", because The Hero 5 & Hero 6 lose sales when the SJ8-Pro was released by SJCAM.

John Adams I have seen other reviews on this camera and it has been very impressive, sound and picture, first rate. As a hero 5 owner I would have said the 4k+ was better. I'm not impressed with the Hero 5 one bit.
The Missing Link's Younger Brother I have also seen the reviews and the negative reviews that highlight bad low light performance and focus issues, which is demonstrated in this vlog with the grainy low light performance and poor stabilisation compared to hero 6 which only cost £50 more.

What is the angular field of view for the Xiaomi Yi 4K plus camera? FOV diagonal, horizontal and vertical values?

an amazing camera does everything except make a cup of tea
Video focus lag and pixalating when on the move, not impressed, and not a real threat to the gopro.
