Land Rover Discovery 3 boot trunk opening issue

I had an issue last year with the boot of my Discovery 3. I would oull on the handle and it wouldn't open but I would bang on the the handle cover and it would allow me to open the boot. I had forgotten about that and it happened again this year. I ended up doing what I did in this video and after I have now replaced the trigger door open switch with one I bought on ebay which has a plastic paddle so it doesn't corrode.

Somebody should sue the fuck out of Land Rover for not putting a inside manual latch

Currently have the same issue but it’s intermittent, already ordered the door handle as in clip , it might also be worth changing the lower actuator, cable and latch , Total job around £110 off of eBay, helpful clip cheers .
