This is why I would never buy a range rover, they sell it expensive but it's as reliable as a 2015 ford eco boost engine.

most engines are fine, people just dont know how to maintain an oil services should be every 3-5k timing chain should be looked at regularly

Remap wouldn’t have caused an issue like this, this issue is simply the timing chain tensioner started failing and the driver ignored engine lights on dash and the engine went bang 💥
This car is HPI clear not cat just engine damage

These engines sell for around £10k used, issue is you don’t know the history of the engine or what ever issue it may have on it, short blocks aren’t usually available

@@NamzBoost there’s a 2018 with 27k milage on for £7500, but as you say who knows what it’s been put through before hand by previous owner, everyone I know that owns an SVR puts them through there paces haha I would too

Replace the broken piston and rod and new rings so it starts, bit of steel seal, get the car detailed looking all shiny and wack it straight back into Copart! ££££’s Lol lol😂 share the love…

That chain would have been rattling like a skeleton wankin in a biscuit tin on cold start way before the tensioner actully failed. That’s the issue with SVR etc. Most owners are totally clueless and drive them until they implode.
Definitely would have been, majority of engine failures come from owners not maintaining them properly / following schedules
