Brad is the right cool-headed, focused, kinda guy for you to play breaking65 attempts with Garrett. He's a great addition to the gang all-round imho. :) p.s. Steve popping up on the last green mentioning he'd just posted a 93 was gold! LOL
@@sfodge7 o_O You read comments before watching a vid?! I'm assuming you used to sneak looks at what your parents had bought you for Christmas, & then had to fake surprised delight on the day? LOL ;p
@@sfodge7 Ah.... fair enough then. I recommend doing whatever you have to in order to avoid seeing any comments before you watch anything on the Toob tho! ;)
Yeah it’s cool hearing how a plus handicap manages the course. He was pretty in depth on this vid about his thought process for his shots and how he planned/played for misses.
In the last year, picking a target and committing to the shot has been the biggest improvement to my game. I still make some mistakes but overall it's taken my mind off of swing thoughts.
Garrett, love the content you’ve been putting out recently. Always a pleasure getting to watch you smack the ball around the course. Also, all the guests you’ve had on have made the series so much more enjoyable. Keep it up G!
Love the way you guys knock yourselves I wonder if you truly realise how good you are, and probably 95% of your viewers would love to be even half as good as you.
Could be dunning-Kruger effect talking, because they are very good they know how much better they can get. Resulting in them talking down on themselves.
Good call on nocebo, heard that word when I was a kid (I'm pushing 60). Bad call on ice cube for poison ivy. It's an oil. Soap and water is best, but it has to be quick before the oil soaks in. For golf course, maybe some wet wipe packets in the golf bag?? If they clean up grease from fried chicken, maybe they would clean this oil. I would clean the ball too when you pick it up.
Edits that make Garrett seem like a rambling goof make my day lol he'll be in the middle of a thought and trip over half his words and it just cuts to the next shot hahaha so good
Super video Garrett. I know that everything is relative and perspectives are different for all of us but it is hard to feel sorry for a guy who is not a tour player and is feeling down over shooting par golf. 99+% of us out here in ViewerLand would give anything to play just one round at or near par. Most would give anything to hit any round that began with a 7 and many will never ever see a round beginning with an 8. So be proud of being a spectacular golfer and remember that every swing on the golf course is like breathing in a little piece of heaven.
I think it’s good to get frustrated with things sometimes, and also good to control it well. I’d say you did a great job handling it. You’ll get em next time.
I would love to see a little series with Garrett playing sunflower maybe 5 or so times in a row trying to get a tie with or breaking the course record. He could have it with a different GG athlete playing with him every video. It would be so cool for him to have the record at this course.
Seems like he just wants to play as much as possible and keep improving. Playing and recording with this slightly lighter style and more straight forward edits allows content to drop more often. Do it on his channel and keep the focus on 18 hole stroke play as much as possible. The more time Grant is on a course with a camera is always a win for Good Good. Having said that I really enjoy the editing on this channel. The guys verbally increase the info they are providing and less needs to be added in edit. The whole thing just feels nice, like you are right there with the guys enjoying a round.
Well done on the Nocebo effect! I was about to say that your Nocebo comment just proves your relation to Micah ( he's kind-of an idiot), but you were right.
Awesome golf today. And you had lots of opportunities on the table G. Brad with the same score I shot with ya like 7 years ago. You bring the best out of others Garrett 🔥
Per Wikipedia: nocebo effect is said to occur when negative expectations of the patient regarding a treatment cause the treatment to have a more negative effect than it otherwise would have.
Man gotta love bRAD, so calm on the course as well, gotta learn from him Garrett. Don't let your alter ego Gary out on the course, he will throw clubs around and hit chunky for days
You should not only make this your series of break 65 but also bringing people on to break 65 almost like a challenge. Ie pro golfers or anyone from good good but tally up scores and have a leaderboard. ( I get that people have been on the break 65 videos trying to break 65 but not really presented or done up like a challenge to them )
GRANT !! i have a request for you to play a course star ranch or forest creek grant you will love this course so much i go to the range every day there please come play and have a good time break there record too !!
Garrett, live in the moment. Let someone else keep your score. Leave the numbers out of your head and focus on the task at hand. Don’t try to get cute with it, stick to a shot shape, and go out there and execute. You’ll get it brotha.

This is an excellent description of the difference of scratch and pro level golf. Brad wasn’t even at his best either- and to his credit neither was Garett
Just throwing it out there but if your 60 degree is your 60 yard club and your 60 degree is your 120 yard club, it’s going to be difficult to dial in your distances consistently. All I’m saying is there are ways to incorporate your others wedges to hit consistent distances inside 120 yards. Either that or you can try to leave yourself your favorite wedge distance whenever possible even if it means an iron off the tee.
@@oozieneinmillimeeda- Mainly I’m talking course management. There’s lots of short / medium par 4s out there and you can avoid a lot of bunkers, thick rough and water by laying back a bit. A flat lie in the fairway is usually an easier shot than thick rough closer to the green. Just depends on the hole and the player.
