Safe to assume you don't understand how the handicap system works. Steve a 4 is way more believable that Garrett being a +5.

Yes he is. I'm constantly amazed how few people actually understand GHIN. +5 is his GHIN index. What GHIN does is calculate how good you are CAPABLE of shooting, not what you usually shoot on a normal round. If you play your A game, you'll shoot at or near your handicap.
This course was playing at 75.5 with a slope of 140. Garrett's course handicap was a +2, which meant if he shot his A game, he'd be expected to shoot right around 70. If you've watched enough Good Good videos, you know that with his game on point, Garrett absolutely is capable of shooting 70 at this course. He just showed up with his C game today. Unfortunately for him and Steve, both Brad and Sean showed up with their A+++ games today.

@@FRIESENBERGG it literally is. The USGA bases handicap off of your best 8 rounds out of 20 rounds, and it also takes into account the handicap of the course you are playing, so you could shoot 3 over at a hard course and your handicap could still be a +1

@mre_man they play out of bounds as lateral and do some very creative placing in the rough (when do they ever have a bad lie). You can add several shots to all their handicaps bar Brad and Shaun.
Especially when he was a +3.4 not too long ago, there is no way he made such a high jump like that to be close to pga level.
