Big up to the Bryan Bros. They said they were going to make this course available to RUclips when they bought it and they certainly have. Some excellent content has been delivered

Wesley's constant positive pep talk to try and get FP to play well is such a good insight into the psychology of a tour player. Bro did it NON-STOP for an entire round. Whenever FP seemed distracted or down, he'd bring him back into the zone. Serious work of art.

Hard to add much to what has already been said but just to reiterate how superb this video was .. the setting, the quality of filming, the banter and the standard of play were all outstanding. I too cannot believe how quickly 3+ hours passed and just how enjoyable and engaging it was. It made me think about the odd occasion when, with nothing better to do, I have watched a LIV golf event broadcast and just how utterly boring that was by comparison. Far better than watching those entitled, going through the motions tour pros who think it is acceptable to snap clubs and swear their heads off when things don't go quite right (you know who I am thinking of!). All 6 played some great stuff but hats off to Grant who has improved beyond recognition in the last year or so and has the smoothest swing of the lot. More please!
Thanks to all involved in the making of this video from the players to those behind the cameras, editors and the Solina staff for hosting this tournament! Problem for FP in my opinion is he didn’t think he belonged there. He plays with 2 absolute choppers the majority of the time placing every ball up and now all of a sudden has a bunch of tour level players it showed. He was 100 yards behind them off the tee.
FP has been playing poorly for quite a while. He needs to take some time off and work on his body and fix what the problem is. He just doesn't belong with these guys right now. It's just embarrassing to watch him play like a 20 handicap.

Best group on RUclips. All you guys are great. Rooting for Wes and FP and I have 2 holes to go in the video. I hope you guys keep FP around because when he is on, he is on. And he’s a great vibe. Keep up the work.
The cut at 4:34 From George and Peter talking serious strategy to FP and Wes playing Marry, F**k, Kill with fast food spots 😂😂😂 This is when I knew we were in for a treat
That video was 3.5hrs long and at no point whatsoever did I get bored. Great golf, great banter, great vibes! Rick, I think this is legit the best golf I've seen you play in months, well done! You mesh really well with that group too! Also, Solina looks like a gem of a course.
For sure Rick is the great entertainer in this. Think about his game a few months ago playing Garcia. Proof that golf is one of those games that things can be good then go to shit but come back again.
I agree, but to be fair, this format suits Rick a lot better than playing by himself. His driver still get him into a lot of trouble. Having a partner like Grant, who is very consistent, must make it easier for Rick knowing that the odd OB off the tee isn't going to hurt them too much. Either way, Rick's putting and irons have been on-point during these SC videos.
One of the best, and longest, videos but worth every minute. FP's analogy of the painter talking about George's swing was compelling! He never disappoints! And Pete's last tee shot was in the air for approximately 8 seconds. I forgot to add, the only game not played in this round is Rick's socks. You really need to rethink that man.
16 degrees today in Ontario Canada. Littles windy but to be expected late November up here. Last round of the year for me. Thank goodness for Rick and all the RUclips guys keeping me entertained and sane till spring
This is why I love golf... You can be competing and want nothing more than to destroy everyone you're versing, yet so insanely happy when you see one of your boys pull off an amazing shot. Love this game
when it said 3.35 hrs on the video I thought there is no way that is longer than a film !! But it was such a good watch, excellent comradery, some really good golf, some really excellent putting and near misses and FP played so badly it was so funny. Great video
Man seeing Rick and Grant absolutely laser focused the entire time was so wild. Ignoring all the chirps on the greens and instead talking out putts with each other. Playing aggressively when they needed to and laying back when they needed to. What a crazy match.
Rick love your videos. Just got one remark. It seems you are mentally playing against yourself more than you should. Beating yourself up for not ideal shot is holding you back mate!
Bryan bros are my favorite golfers. FP and the boys are #2 fav channel on RUclips. Perez… slow down the bojangles (I know it’s delicious) but I want to watch you continue to golf for years to come! Thank you all for putting this out
3 and a half hours long and I’m gonna watch every second. You guys have all earned it, not just with talent but being so genuine and likable. Don’t underestimate the kind of impact you Rick and all the creators have on people’s lives. Keep being phenomenal.
I hope Rick know that he will go down in golf history as the man who single handedly made the game more popular than it’s ever been. I would not call myself an OG but I’m proud I have been able to experience 6 years plus of your incredible journey. You’re living proof that if someone continues to follow whatever they’re passionate about in life… Money but most importantly happiness will soon follow.
You know, the six of you need to take this tour on the road! Travel the world and play the great tournament courses of the world! Damn… I would 100% pay a subscription to see those matches.
Ah Rick. I commented on the first video after Break 75 ended voicing my concern as many did but I feel I need to apologise for that. I spoke too soon, it came from a place of disappointment but really it's a credit to you for delivering such a good format for us all each week. The content you have produced since has been as you would say phenomenal. Your golf has been phenomenal too really considering where you were not too long ago, you look happy and content mate, love to see it. A pleasure to watch, thank you.
Rick made some nice putts and hit quite a few good shots but wouldn't have broken 77 playing out his own ball,!! Also remember they're playing the front tees that they never play at Solina!!. 1 par 3 hole was 70 yd shorter!! Wesley said he's never even played these tees but it was Rick's channel so he made the course easy...
2 golfers came out of this series winners, from a personality point of view… Pete and Wesley. What great guys! Not taking life (golf) too seriously and still highest up in my estimation. That said, Rick’s played out of his skin this week and his videos always seem to top the others. Great work guys!
Hated this format. Once again Rick needs someone to hold his hand to feel secure. He also picked the guy who intimidates him the least as his partner and finally you call this stroke play but if you are struggling on a hole you don't have to finish it off! Another way of protecting yourself! Grow a pair Rick!!
Been watching RUclips golf for a while now and I think the Solina week content is right up there with the best. Really enjoyed it all across all channels. More of this type of content please @RickShielsPGA
Rick, you and your team have ruined me for other golf channels. Your guys editing and filming are top class! I find myself getting impatient watching other channels. Lol! This was so good! Not a boring second! Loved it! 🙌
I am a 19 handicap golfer and love you and Grants videos. I would like to see you invite the average golfer like me and play against them on handicap 😂😂😂
I can't tell u enough how good these are. Scotland were playing football tonight. This isnt live and I could have watched it at my leisure. But I watched every minute of it without interruption. Never watched 1 minute of my nations international game. Way better than watching a tour event. Love every character. Pls let's have as much of this as possible. Brilliant lads. Thank u
Kudos to Wes. He tried EVERY way to keep FP from getting too frustrated...not much helped unfortunately. He may trash talk A LOT, but he is a great teammate.
Well, done to all of you guys, one of the best videos, For person behind camera, please try Not get excited, zoom out so that you don't get lost. Once again big up to all of you, All the way from RSA in Durban.
FP looked so uncomfortable the entire round. Even how he was sitting in the cart. So tensed up. Really hated seeing this since I am such a huge FP fan.
It didn't seem like he was uncomfortable, it felt more like he just had a terrible hangover and was completely out of it as result. Like whenever I have a bad hangover I definitely do not feel very social or in a perky mood. Dude needs to ease up on the drinking the day before matches like this and just have 1-2 at most.
@@enzymatic1 1:51:23 Idk what was going on, but either something was happening off camera that irritated Wesley or he was irritated at FP. Kind of a weird interaction. The way Wesley just stops his comment gives a little eyeroll and looks away.
Hat off, Grant and Rick both played awesome, perfect for the format. Kudos to the team cutting these 3h so well. Pete was great as always even though he didn't have his best.
What's going on with all these multi-hour videos over the past few days? From Grant to Pete to the Bryan Bros and now you as well.. I wanted to go out tonight, but it seems like I will make myself some popcorn, get a drink and stay home watching this here, Rick. It's better anyways, I have a tee-time tomorrow at 10am in the cold and rain! Don't get too spoiled with the weather across the pond though! ;) Congrats on the achievement on the Bryon Bros video, by the way! You stepped up to the plate when it was needed and it paid off big!
My takeaway from this video: (I am a PGA class A teaching professional and can play high level golf at times - focus is more on teaching though) • Grant Horvat - SOLID as usual. Very consistent golfer. Great partner for this format. Meshed well with Rick. A little squirrely with the irons on this round but still pretty decent play from him. As per usual. • Rick Shiels - Without a doubt the MVP of both the team and of all the players in this match. Seemed to be playing with a low-key chip on his shoulder. Made several references to this early in the round when he made sarcastic comments to Grant about the post shot overly optimistic feedback coming from Grant and others. Said with a smile that it “pissed him off and annoyed him” (paraphrasing a bit but pretty accurate). Whatever the case it worked in his favor as he struck the ball beautifully, made crucial long putts, took a TON of pressure of Grant’s shoulders, and even had a timely chip in for eagle early in the match which propelled them to a lead they never relinquished. Rick had a plan shared with Grant to get “two balls on the green” every hole and they just about accomplished this. Buzz saw of a team today. Rick himself shot -3 on the front nine! A+ for Rick today. • George Bryan: One of the greatest drivers of the golf ball I’ve seen in some time. That driver swing doesn’t always translate to tight approach shots though. And his putting was average (for him) today. Very steady partner to have. Plays fast and lots of clubhead speed on the approach shots. Compared to Wesley the irons are not as good. But his driving (when he commits to a straight shot visual) is second to none. Ran into a tough situation with Grant & Rick lighting up the course today. • Peter Finch: Solid fundamentals. TONS of clubhead speed…I mean TONS. Technique is on point for almost any situation. Course management was a little spotty today. Didn’t give himself the best opportunities at times. Putting was a little off too. Had a few chances for eagle and came away with pars due to poor execution on the greens. Very emotional (although he doesn’t always show it outwardly). He was grinding and trying his very best - no doubt in my mind. Peter probably feels as if he let some holes get away today. B- overall. • Fat Perez: Fighting his swing no doubt. Somebody watching him for the first time might say that he was overmatched and out of his league … BUT I don’t buy that. I’ve watched him through the last few years and he can do way better that what he put on display. Appeared to be hung over (especially on the front nine). Seemed to be struggling finding a balanced mental state that would work out there. Didn’t help hearing overly encouraging comments from Wesley and others constantly when the reality of the shot was poor (by his standards). To his credit he battled and didn’t make any excuses. Also it seemed he might have been pressing a bit off the tee in an effort to keep up with these guy or to at least get it closer to them as far a distance goes. That will wreck any good players golf swing. Also might have had shoulder issues (he has in the past and the results are similar). Awkward dynamic between FP and Wesley only because FP was not at his best and so it was hard for him to be his usual charming awesome playing self. That type of situation is mentally EXHAUSTING for a player and coupled with his physical exhaustion he didn’t have much to offer today. Felt bad for him. Great guy. Rough outing. • Wesley Bryan: The most polished golfer out there. He’s more refined that brother George overall. Wesley has different swings for different shots and he can finesse the ball with his approach shots like no one else in this group can. Mean well in the constant encouragement to FP but I think FP saw it as a bit much and nothing helpful overall. Kept trying to make eye contact with FP more so than he normally does with ANYBODY and I think that annoyed FP especially since he had no game today. Wesley is a tough competitor and basically created the groups final score on his own. Great guy though. Sweet person and TALENTED golfer. He’s playing really well this Fall 2024. Always a fan. Grade him a B+ … would be an A but he didn’t handle FP well.
@@boyfromoklahoma1188yeah but FP plays better with the sh*t being thrown around. If another person from BDS had been hanging around FP, I think he would've felt more relaxed. No doubt he played bad though, cannot take that away.
@@boyfromoklahoma1188 oh for sure he was super nice. but i wouldn't have expected him to be mean either. in an event like this when the camera time is focusing on your specific cart---there's probably some (I don't know if I'd term it as pressure) but some minor obligation to at least talk and say something. Whereas no cameras and there'd likely be more of an authenic quiet riding moments in that cart. I'm re-reading my comments I said Wesley meant well is a sweet person. He did and he is. I guess I tried to empathize with FP and if I'm in those shoes at that moment I don't want or need to hear the rah rah encouragement stuff. But that's how I'd react. FP, yourself, and many others might have been just fine with it. Point taken.
@@jamesdillon8164 proportionally speaking Rick's play was way better than what his average. i mean WAY better. It was a pleasant surprise for Grant I'm certain. I think he was the X factor that allowed them to roll. That's why I feel he's the clear cut MVP. But, you can always make a case for Grant as MVP in almost any match. It just doesn't seem fitting (to me anyway) in this one.
Definitely need a rematch. I honestly had Rick and Grant from the jump. With a fresh FP, a belly full of cheesy Gordita crunch, and George not giving up, this would be a great match every time. I’d watch over and over! Good shat fellas!
I’m genuinely concerned for FP. He’s not playing anywhere close to the level he was when he first blew up on RUclips. He’s either drinking A LOT more than he should be due to the traveling or his health is catching up to him. I’d love to see him turn things around.
Nah golf is one of those games where you just have streaks. You grind em out or have a eureka moment. Look at Rick 8 months ago embarrassing himself in front of Garcia. Now lighting up the whole series as the entertainer.
@RickShielsPGA, @PeterFinchGolf, @GrantHorvat, @BryanBros, & @FatPerez - absolutely astonishing golf from each of the 3 pairs! Fantastic viewing, hugely entertaining, and please keep them coming!!!!!
Top 3 RUclips golf videos I have watched!!! Probably number 1. Fun content, amazing golf, etc. Have to praise Pete’s driving…. It was amazing and super consistent! Have to say that I love his teaching channel, he is a great golf coach. Grant’s overall game was great!!! Great to watch. Rick was clutch when needed and mixed very well with Grant. Have to say that love his channel and his coaching as well. Wesley and George are always super fun to watch, just great/amazing golfers and super funny! George did not play his best, but we know he can do a lot better. FP I feel he under perform, but that is golf… there are days. Would love to see something like this again!!

These same teams and groups need to play the same format in the UK.
Loved this!
Absolutely a 3+ hour content I can get behind.
Pete: “I knew I was safe” as he walks 100 feet into the woods with a club🤣🤣
Rick getting Wes and George mixed up for all the early filming has me in stitches 😂
Tbf I do that with my kids 😂
SPOILER BLOCKER
Doing God’s work my friend
thank you!
Thanks! It may take me two days to watch the whole thing. 😊

16 degrees today in Ontario Canada. Littles windy but to be expected late November up here. Last round of the year for me. Thank goodness for Rick and all the RUclips guys keeping me entertained and sane till spring
Wow watched to the end what a great match thanks guys very very entertaining
I’m a Rick fan …. but the channel needed this BIG TIME
Why are you a fan of a RUclipsr? Watch him and enjoy, yes. But a fan? Weird....
@@Eat-MyGoal??? there is nothing weird at all about being a rick fan or a fan of a youtuber in general
This is why I love golf... You can be competing and want nothing more than to destroy everyone you're versing, yet so insanely happy when you see one of your boys pull off an amazing shot.
Love this game
Yup. I play in a weekly foursome and we try to annihilate each other but fist pump and praise each other for good shots made
Well said! 💪🏻👊🏻🏌🏻♂️⛳❤ Love this game!
Yes yes!
This is the best Rick Shields video I've seen in a very long time. Keep it up Rick! These are the videos we want to see from you.
It's the socks!
when it said 3.35 hrs on the video I thought there is no way that is longer than a film !! But it was such a good watch, excellent comradery, some really good golf, some really excellent putting and near misses and FP played so badly it was so funny. Great video
Loved it more please 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
More enjoyable than the last day at a major. Hats off to all involved.
Man seeing Rick and Grant absolutely laser focused the entire time was so wild. Ignoring all the chirps on the greens and instead talking out putts with each other. Playing aggressively when they needed to and laying back when they needed to. What a crazy match.
FP really needs to drop 40-50. Still be FP, but back to being able to turn. Too good at what he does to let McDonalds ruin his career.
Yeah his game has went downhill as of late and you'd be hard-pressed to say it's not related to his health.
Yeah, he mentioned a shoulder issue recently but I agree it's more to do with him getting bigger. Losing weight would benefit his health and game
Correct he looks very bad
What does he bring to RUclips golf? Honestly, I don't see it 🤷♂️
@@neilgallacher841 dude just seems rude to me 🤷🏽♂️
Rick love your videos.
The content you guys have put out the past week has broken the RUclips golf world internet. Thank you so much!
No he won’t. No one remembers the first, everyone remembers the best aka Good Good
I can't tell if you're serious, or if this is elite rage bait 🤣.

That was so much fun to watch !!!
The 17th hole tee shots 😮🤩
Congratulations to Grant & Rick !!!

You know, the six of you need to take this tour on the road! Travel the world and play the great tournament courses of the world! Damn… I would 100% pay a subscription to see those matches.
FP is down bad...gotta love the guy. All been there. He makes these vids fantastic.
George and Pete without a doubt
That's what I thought
Rematch!!!!!!! Definitely need a rematch!!!!! Great golf from Rick and grant so much fun to watch!!
Ostatnie kilka filmow grę Ricka ogląda się co raz przyjemniej👍. Świetna gra. Postępy ogromne💪. Brawo👏. A cała grupa jest fenomenalna☝️.👋
Rick, it's brilliant seeing how well you're doing against these top RUclipsrs. Always knew you could compete with the best!
2 golfers came out of this series winners, from a personality point of view… Pete and Wesley. What great guys! Not taking life (golf) too seriously and still highest up in my estimation.
That said, Rick’s played out of his skin this week and his videos always seem to top the others.
Great work guys!
This is devious dropping this on a Friday with a fridge full of brews...
Chug a beer everytime one of them hook a drive and drop their club 😂 might need another case. Either way gonna be a dynamite video
Lmao what
Great content just six mates battling out on a golf course having fun and loads of laughs the way golf should be played 🍀
Amazing 3 hours of golf ⛳ best video I watched and of you played some amazing golf ⛳ thank you
Been watching RUclips golf for a while now and I think the Solina week content is right up there with the best. Really enjoyed it all across all channels. More of this type of content please @RickShielsPGA
Dang boyz. This was fun the whole way through. Huge thanx to everyone and massive THANX to the editors for putting everything together.
This is absolutely brilliant. 1 hour in, and it's totally gripping. I wish life didn't need to happen, so I could just keep watching until it's done.
Thank u
You missed nothing as per. When will we get it together?
Kudos to Wes. He tried EVERY way to keep FP from getting too frustrated...not much helped unfortunately. He may trash talk A LOT, but he is a great teammate.
This has been the best collaboration so far. The combination of personalities and styles is just so entertaining.
Some really good golf in this string of videos from Rick Shiels, Grant Hovart, Peter Finch and the Bryan Bro's . Keep your head up FP!
Well, done to all of you guys, one of the best videos, For person behind camera, please try Not get excited, zoom out so that you don't get lost. Once again big up to all of you, All the way from RSA in Durban.
Fp is the best…”I’m avoiding the toe like it’s a salad” 😂😂😂
Yeah I cracked up at that one
My favorite comment of the 3.5 hours.
@@enzymatic1 did you see him in the cart? That screamed being tense and uncomfortable
He was still drunk at the turn 😂 must’ve had a rough night
That was just category 4 or 5 hangover with pronounced lack of sleep coefficient, not "tensed up"! ;)
@@enzymatic1 1:51:23 Idk what was going on, but either something was happening off camera that irritated Wesley or he was irritated at FP. Kind of a weird interaction. The way Wesley just stops his comment gives a little eyeroll and looks away.
This is one of the best videos of the year. No question.
It's 3 hours so no way you have watched the whole thing
@Emmanuel-ne3oi No need to watch all 3 hours to know. I will watch all 3, but that statement is a fact regardless.
Amazing play, love to see both of you winning. This is fun about Golf 😊😊😊
Hat off, Grant and Rick both played awesome, perfect for the format. Kudos to the team cutting these 3h so well. Pete was great as always even though he didn't have his best.
Yes Rick, this what we want on Fridays
No background music made this video so much better.
Don't get too spoiled with the weather across the pond though! ;)
Congrats on the achievement on the Bryon Bros video, by the way! You stepped up to the plate when it was needed and it paid off big!
Wow. Watched the whole video from the beginning to the end. Really enjoyed it. So much fun. Thanks, guys.
The quality of golf all around is phenomenal! Lovely stuff gents.
Gonna raw dog this without moving no toilet breaks no blinking
Just here for FP
My takeaway from this video: (I am a PGA class A teaching professional and can play high level golf at times - focus is more on teaching though)
• Grant Horvat - SOLID as usual.
Dude wes was being super nice. Fp just sucked on this video and was bummed out
@@boyfromoklahoma1188yeah but FP plays better with the sh*t being thrown around. If another person from BDS had been hanging around FP, I think he would've felt more relaxed. No doubt he played bad though, cannot take that away.
Don’t think Rick was the mvp, grant carried the back 9. Ricks iron striking has been insane lately
Great video. Best yet. Love the Bryan Bros and Pete. F P keeps it real. Rick and Grant. Outstanding.
I’m genuinely concerned for FP. He’s not playing anywhere close to the level he was when he first blew up on RUclips. He’s either drinking A LOT more than he should be due to the traveling or his health is catching up to him. I’d love to see him turn things around.
Really felt for FP. Such a good guy. Hopefully he goes on a health kick and gets back to throwing darts.
everyone has slumps.
Nah golf is one of those games where you just have streaks. You grind em out or have a eureka moment. Look at Rick 8 months ago embarrassing himself in front of Garcia. Now lighting up the whole series as the entertainer.
Apparently he doesn’t drink often. I was listening to a bob does sport podcast and bob was saying he barely drinks
It's his weight period!!!! The guy would kill it If he lost weight. Wes was trying to be nice
Perfect friday night viewing 👌. Content out of Solina the last couple weeks has been epic!
@RickShielsPGA, @PeterFinchGolf, @GrantHorvat, @BryanBros, & @FatPerez - absolutely astonishing golf from each of the 3 pairs! Fantastic viewing, hugely entertaining, and please keep them coming!!!!!
Starting to feel bad, FP has been brutal recently. What's goin on big fella?
Any championship style course from the tips is just too much course for FP, 😏⛳🇨🇦
He cannot hang with any of the better RUclipsrs. His gimmick is wearing off on me. He gets way too much credit for the talent he lacks..
@@gabeshapero3636 rumor has it he has been dealing with a shoulder injury and his swing is compromised.
FP also isn’t a long hitter. When he’s playing solo stroke play he’s prolly more like a 10 handicap
@@krogge10 He plays off of 2, which is probably about right when he is on.
