Top 5 greatest band of all time, I don’t care what anyone says. Just phenomenal. Scott being a badass, Deleo bros killing it, and Kretz holding it down tight. This is music
I was 17 in 1990 when I heard two albums that I knew were gonna change current music (she’s my cherry pie crap). Bleach by Nirvana (I was in the back seat of a ford escort that had 2 15’s in the trunk going to a party in a beach with a 12 pack beside the first time I heard Bleach. And Facelift by Alice In Chains. With that said I was always pissed when the top 4 as they were always referred were Nirvana, Pearl Jam, AIC and Soundgarden…always in that order, when I always loved Stone Temple Pilots more than Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. Albeit I really dug Soundgarden after ‘94’s SuperUnknown. Take care man.
Definitely top 2 for Me. 1 of the very first CD's I owned was Purple. Weiland's voice was mind-blowing to me. Lucky enough to see them once in 2008. Scot was ON that night, and I'll never forget that show for the rest of my life!
Met the DeLeo bros back in 99 when they were Talk Show. They were playing the Palladium with the Foo Fighters. I went outside before the Foos finished and Robert was chilling by the tour bus. Talked to me for about 30 mins about Scott, music in general--advised me to learn music theory--which I did a few years later. Super down to earth, nice guy. I later saw STP with Scott in Reno, NV some years later. One of the best shows I ever attended.
They were just so damn good. People have already commented on how phenomenal Scott’s voice is, how tight the harmonies are…. I’m in full nostalgia missing and loving them
It's crazy that this performance was 25 years & yet for me ,1997 seems like yesterday. No cell phones, now social media & certainly no damn pandemic to interrupt our daily life. It's times like these I wish I could hop in a deloreon and go back to the 90s.
The '90s, man. The fuckin' '90s. We should have appreciated that precious decade more while we lived through it. It gave us '90s rock (from Grunge to the Prodigy and everything else you could imagine), PlayStation, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, etc, WWF Attitude Era, France 1998 (the last great World Cup), the Simpsons (I know it started in 89, but it started to really shine in 1990) and arguably the best decade for movies (along with the '70s). Think of all them, across all the genres: Terminator 2; Jurassic Park; HEAT; Scream; Clerks; Se7en; Titanic; Almost Famous. And we had the Internet when it was young and free, before the money men came along and fucked it up. Man, we had it good. We had it really, really good.
Yeah for sure, I appreciated every single moment of it as best I could growing up in the 90s. 90s felt amazing. I think the 80s could have been slightly better for movies though.
@@craigdaurizio686 Yeah, the 80s had some fantastic movies, dude! Probably just a matter of preference as to which decade gets the nod. Both great decades for music and movies. Especially action movies. The 80s was THE decade for action films: Conan the Barbarian, Predator, Die Hard, Aliens, Robocop, the Terminator, etc, etc. How spoiled we were with all that quality media!
Same here. We did three of their songs in my band at the time. For me they have all the energy of punk rock but with so much more talent and precision. The drums are absolutely killer on every track, live or in the studio.
Purple is my favorite by STP but Tiny Music has a special place in my heart because I got it for Easter as a teen. Though I'm not much for candy, who knew I'd still be consuming Tiny Music 25 years later?
At first I felt nothing could beat Purple. But Tiny Music is now equal to it in my mind, after listening to them for 20-some-odd years. The new remastered Tiny Music just came out and the bonus tracks are great. I do believe this show is included in the deluxe version
Their sound from the Purple album and after was so good. They really came into their own after they shook all the grunge comparisons. Tiny Music is such an underrated album.
Tiny music was terrible the first night I listened in my bedroom, at 15 years old. I was mad they dropped the hard sound. At 41, it's now my favorite.. Go figure. Sometimes you need a good bossa nova to chill out to (And So I Know).
Couldn’t disagree more. Core and Purple “is” STP. Weiland went too far down the rabbit hole after Purple, and it showed in his progressively degrading range. As a big STP fan, it was tragic to see
2023, still miss Scott. People say things like this a lot but it is 100% true when it is said no one makes music like this anymore. 90's STP is like nothing out there. Simply the best.
@@maynardferguson9599 The other thing that made the 90s great is we didn't have all of the political infighting that we currently have. It was so nice when people thought for themselves and didn't define themselves by who they voted for or what political ideology they subscribe to.
I was 16 yers old then and I was super pissed because my spring break was the week following this show. Forgive me if I sound like an "old timer" but shit was just cooler back then. No cell phones being held up in the air recording, just people enjoying the moment and rocking out together. STP is and always will be my favorite band. They have since torn the club this was recorded in down and it made me sad. I got to see a lot of good bands and make a lot of memories there.

Love these guys. Saw them twice....2001 and 2011. Dean DeLeo is an underrated guitarist. RIP Scott.
Yep.
This is a perfect example of just how incredibly talented this bad was/is. Weiland’s vocals are just absolutely amazing! He is definitely missed.
No cellphones. ❤❤❤
This is exceptional, how good is this! Scott was killing it here.
Top 5 greatest band of all time, I don’t care what anyone says. Just phenomenal. Scott being a badass, Deleo bros killing it, and Kretz holding it down tight.
This is music
❤
@@douglasfernandez7737 ♥️♥️
Definitely top 2 for Me. 1 of the very first CD's I owned was Purple. Weiland's voice was mind-blowing to me. Lucky enough to see them once in 2008. Scot was ON that night, and I'll never forget that show for the rest of my life!
Lol top 5? Put the pipe down
Love how Scott just walks up so casually to the mic and the second the music starts he goes nuts dancing.....great entertainer.
I so understand.
Muito bom esse show.
STONE TEMPLE PILOTS pra sempre !
Rio de Janeiro-🇧🇷
Thanks for this gift, stp.
we still loving you
These guys F'ing ROCKED. PERIOD
Concerts in the 90’s were amazing! We were so lucky!
Damn it's good to see this. Scott sounds amazing. RIP
You said it … the 90’s were a great decade
Yeah for sure, I appreciated every single moment of it as best I could growing up in the 90s. 90s felt amazing.
I think the 80s could have been slightly better for movies though.
1990s....👍👍👍👍💯💯💯
@@craigdaurizio686 Yeah, the 80s had some fantastic movies, dude! Probably just a matter of preference as to which decade gets the nod. Both great decades for music and movies. Especially action movies. The 80s was THE decade for action films:
Conan the Barbarian, Predator, Die Hard, Aliens, Robocop, the Terminator, etc, etc.
How spoiled we were with all that quality media!
“I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them.” -Andy Bernard, The Office
I really miss Scott Wieland! He was on top of his game here.
I was 28 when they came out and I thanked every star in the galaxy that they did. 30 years on I still feel the same way.
Same here. We did three of their songs in my band at the time. For me they have all the energy of punk rock but with so much more talent and precision. The drums are absolutely killer on every track, live or in the studio.
Please, God, throw me back into 1990s again.
Take me with yoooou
I hear that, brother
Can I go with you all???
Sign me up too please! 🤞🏻
@Daniel Drader I don't wanna get older...just turned 40. I want off of this ride!
RIP Scott. You’re dearly missed.
I love "Tiny Music" so much
Purple is my favorite by STP but Tiny Music has a special place in my heart because I got it for Easter as a teen. Though I'm not much for candy, who knew I'd still be consuming Tiny Music 25 years later?
I remember back the on a radio interview back then they said it was an experimental albulmn but purple was So amazing after the great core
@@Erkbrothers80 Those 2 are equal to me!
Same. It all came together for them on Tiny in my opinion. They were their own band there.
At first I felt nothing could beat Purple. But Tiny Music is now equal to it in my mind, after listening to them for 20-some-odd years. The new remastered Tiny Music just came out and the bonus tracks are great. I do believe this show is included in the deluxe version
Nailed lady picture show! What a talent Scott is
Love these guys! Fukn ROCK!!
R.I.P. Scott Weiland! What an incredible talent!!!
Man I miss going to STP shows. I can't seem to get over his death. Ughhh all of my favorites are dying.
Drugs kill.
@@RushandUFO really?! does that change the fact that I miss Scott Weiland??
Uma pena, um talento natural e incrível!! Rip Scott Weiland
@@RushandUFO especially if you mix suboxone with them.
Their sound from the Purple album and after was so good. They really came into their own after they shook all the grunge comparisons. Tiny Music is such an underrated album.
Core was just as great. Hated they got lumped into the grunge genre. They were just straight up rock and roll.
Core is still my favorite album.
Uh, Core was damn’ hardcore, and just as good as many that came after, if not better (except Purple, which I think is their best album ever).
As a big STP fan, it was tragic to see
The 80’s are my favorite decade, but I’ll take ‘97 again in a heartbeat. The world was better. People were better too.
Good points. 80s -90s in north america could be considered the pinnacle of modern civilization.
Ugh. Pass.
Phones ,technology ruined the world... Fact
80's sucked(music) for the most part.
Late 70's and all of the 80's for me. There were a couple cool bands from the 90's like STP, but not many more.
best band of the 90s...by far
Incredible musicians with one of the best front man ever! rip Scott 😎
Scott sounds superb
He’s right on point for this performance 💯
yes he did
What a great performance. No smoke and mirrors here. Just four talented musicians playing their hearts out.
2023, still miss Scott. People say things like this a lot but it is 100% true when it is said no one makes music like this anymore. 90's STP is like nothing out there. Simply the best.
Fuk ya love their music rite from he get to, listen to those vocals I mean fuk ya.
2022 and STP still kicks ass!!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
I started watching MTV in 1980 when it first came on! I miss the old MTV. Saw STP last night in Phoenix and it ROCKED!
Such an incredible performance, still rocks almost 25 years later 🤘🏻🔥
25 Years Later -- Still Rocks !!!
The 90s were pretty awesome. Good economy, great music. Here's to simpler, more peaceful times!
Are you kidding?? With the Clinton's in the WH??? The 90s sucked!!!!
@@maynardferguson9599 The other thing that made the 90s great is we didn't have all of the political infighting that we currently have. It was so nice when people thought for themselves and didn't define themselves by who they voted for or what political ideology they subscribe to.
I was a little girl and I agree. My parents are Scott, Layne, Kurt, etc. age group and they had fun from what I heard.
1990s.....💯💯💯👍👍👍👍
I agree the Clintons sucked but the music was awesome!!!
What an infinitely unique band! It's a real shame that things didn't work out for us to have more material from these talented gentlemen!
wow - they didn't RUSH any song. fantastic tempos - Plush sounds fantastic.
a sign of a great band - they don't play too fast live.
I watched their Howard Stern live set and they seemed to take the tempo way too slow.
@@CA2ALsounds calm though
I was 16 yers old then and I was super pissed because my spring break was the week following this show. Forgive me if I sound like an "old timer" but shit was just cooler back then. No cell phones being held up in the air recording, just people enjoying the moment and rocking out together. STP is and always will be my favorite band. They have since torn the club this was recorded in down and it made me sad. I got to see a lot of good bands and make a lot of memories there.
Yep same age rocking out!

MANUSIA PERTAMA - RUPA GAMBAR TUHAN ( Kejadian 1 : 26 ) .
Terkena DOSA di dalam TAMAN EDEN ( Kejadian 3 : 4 - 6 )
Akibatnya ROH KEMULIAAN RUPA GAMBAR TUHAN terlepas dari mereka sehingga mereka TELANJANG ( Kejadian 3 : 7 ) . Dan mereka menjadi ORANG .
MANUSIA PERTAMA menjadi ADAM , dan PEREMPUAN - TULANG RUSUK menjadi HAWA .
Di luar TAMAN EDEN mereka melihat hewan-hewan saling kawin-mengawin , maka mereka mencontohnya , sehingga lahirlah kita semua Anakcucu ADAMHAWA dari SPERMA PERSETUBUHAN seperti hewan-hewan saling kawin-mengawin ( Kejadian 4 : 1 )
MANUSIA KEDUA - FIRMAN TUHAN ( YOHANNES 1 : 1 - dstnya ) - TUHAN YESUS KRISTUS dicobai dikenai DOSA di PADANG GURUN oleh si IBLIS ( MATIUS 4 : 1 - 11 ) . Tetapi TUHAN YESUS KRISTUS berhasil mengalahkan menaklukkan si IBLIS .

Dude, the internet's been widely available for 20+ years. If you can't use it to find good current music, then you need to refine your searches. Too many ppl just never look beyond the mainstream.
I was 18 when this happened. Just say you are completely out of touch with anything current, rather than pretending that the last decade you were relevant is also the last decade music was relevant. Old fuck
Jesus Christ Long Live Rock. This is how you do it. Scott is irreplaceable.

He was the best frontman at no point of any time. He was decent, but certainly not great. And he simply cannot be compared to mega-talents like Chris Cornell, Eddie Veddar, Layne Staley, and so many more from his era. He couldn’t even compare to Kurt Cobain. Their music was good, but not that good.
