I can't tell you how sad it makes me to watch a real rock band play in a real era, with real fans, having real fun, playing real instruments, with real talent, and real emotion, with no backing tracks and zero fucking phones. These days are gone, will never return.
One of the best live shows I've ever seen....and during this era I took all of these bands for granted because it never crossed my mind that it would ever end.
My Ma warned me about this. She missed out on seeing the Doors and Janis Joplin. It always bugged her. I took the warning and went to every show I could afford.
Seen them at Val-Du Lakes in Michigan in 1993. Only song I knew was Plush. I didn't even know what they looked like. I didn't have cable or MTV. 49 years old now. Where the hell did the time go?!?
@86Bonneville75 I know, right!! I saw Disturbed the same way with knowing only one or two songs....but that was how our generation rolled. We went to live shows because they were so much fun!
I will never get over how much of a killer frontman Weiland was. Seriously that man was fire on the stage. Watching him perform is hypnotic. Top 10 of all time material.
Crackerman is such a killer opener and Scott Weiland absolutely owns the stage. The whole band is killing it here. I like this version over the album version, and that's how live music should be. Core was a really great album.
When I saw them on Family Values Tour back in 2000 ish, the lights went down and they piped in "Wet My Bed" so you could just hear it over the crowd and then ripped into "Crackerman". ❤
Wolf Sings Was that a derogatory comment or a pat on the back -- "This Guy Is Such a Stroke". To me, it sounds like you're saying he sucks and he's lazy ? If it's a pat on the back, then I apologize, never heard that one before ?
Scott was so damn talented, so alive on stage, and so dead behind closed doors...if only he loved himself half as much as his family (first) and fans. What a great loss.
You all prolly dont give a damn but does anybody know of a way to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost my password. I would love any help you can offer me!
It's a shame he couldn't kick the habit. He is missed. He was a fantastic entertainer and one of the greatest front men of all time for one of the most under rated bands of all time and here singing one of the most under rated songs of all time. Crackerman is one of my favorite STP songs and it never got the recognition it deserved.
Definitely on top of their game here....I am still pissed at Scott, his death was hard on me....of all the lead singers that we lost Scott was definitely head and shoulders above the rest!!
This band is one of the best ever live performances, I've seen them several times & they never disappoint!! Weiland was awesome with Velvet Revolver too, great performer!!
Scott Weiland is a Icon ,such a loss ,vocally was god for his dramatic and ever changing tones.R.I.P. Scott....still miss how much a perfect performaner that is full of pure talent. I
Dear God please play this at my funeral!!! The guitar parts are unreal. The bass is a ladder. And the drums chop broccoli. And then there's Scott. I am so thankful that I saw them live in their prime!
Perfect band; -Power of Zeppelin -Short concise songs like Ramones -Great melodies like The Beatles -Lyrics of truth like Velvet Underground -Hypnotic frontman like Iggy Yet they’re ALL their own style and way...
@@edwardsmith1017 yeah man i’ve honestly tried Pearl Jam many times and to me they’re alright at best. the guitar on their tracks is great but as musicians they’re eh. Meanwhile STP was firing on all cylinders nearly every release. One of the most consistent bands ever.
@@robertsaunders3059 Yeah, kinda sucks they got lumped in with that Seattle grunge scene. As we’ve discovered a couple albums in, STP were their own everything.
One of the very few front men that sounds as good live as they do in the studio! RIP Scott! STP is my favorite band of all time, glad I grew up in this era of great music.
Scott at his best -- rockin' !!!! This is the tour I saw -- the "No4" album tour of 1999. He was on fire. This is exactly the way he opened the show -- fuckin' deadly.
First concert i ever went too. The guy ran it!!! He absolutely loved his wife and daughter. And dogs and fish and pretty much everything Sometimes people cant understand brilliant people. Rip Scott
Hell , yeah my 2 favorite frontmen. Scott was more energetic and more of a showman but Layne was an unbelievable live performer vocally. People said he was louder then the speakers at shows if you were up front or on stage. The emotion Layne conveyed through his voice was undeniable too. You could hear and feel the hurt and pain he mentally was going through.
These guys are solid serious rock musicians, all very good, all dedicated, all eager to perform live and crank up the excitement - nobody hides, everyone works hard - plus their writing is always interesting, compelling, enjoyable, memorable - I respect 'em - even Scott with his problems, it must be hard to be the extrovert showman of the bunch, the face and voice of the band; plus bipolar condition and heroin, not a great combination - but they are my favorite band these days
Thank you for posting this! What a great lesson for the younger generation in how to deliver live. When Weiland was dialed in, STP was just unstoppable.
There will never be another front man like Scott Weiland. STP is amazing, and Scott will always be my Rockstar crush until the day I die. Trying to bring my boy up right by listening to real rock n roll. He actually was at one of the concerts only I was just a couple months along with him. Too bad Scott died way too soon. Could have done so much more...
Acaso Crackerman es la mejor cancion de rock de todos los tiempos?!?!?!?!?! Grandes muy grandes los Stone. Magníficos. Algunos dicen que Pearl Jam o Metallica...pero STP es el monarca absoluto. Absoluto.
The drums are awesome, the bass is creative and solid, the guitar has the perfect tone, clarity and punch and Scott is magnetic and colorful with a sweet voice
Scott Weiland is my favorite individual performer ever. He brought so much joy to so many lives (including mine). Shame he couldn’t do the same for himself. This is my “go-to” video to remember just how great he was. RIP, my man.
I was in my 20’s in the 90’s. My three favorite bands Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, and Stone Temple Pilots. This is why rock is as strong as it used to be. We’ve lost all our great front men. Best frontman since Freddie Mercury…you are missed Scott!!
Watch and learn kids. THIS is how to Rock n' Roll.

Light Bearer agreed. This is real music!
Fuck yes
To quote Tina Turner, “The people come to see a show.”
yes, but it's about on the same level musically as any song made today...........
crackerman that is
Scott's so natural and free on stage, it's his natural habitat.
Guy is boss...knows he is doing a year in jail after the show and still puts out greatness
badass bandito 💀📢

Sings live like in a studio. That's top notch stuff right there.
Not, he doesn't. 99 onwards is the downhill of his voice. Crackerman live in the Windy City is muuuuuch better
I will never get over how much of a killer frontman Weiland was. Seriously that man was fire on the stage. Watching him perform is hypnotic. Top 10 of all time material.

I'd like to know how Crackerman didn't make it as a hit. It's one of the best tracks on Core.
Jacob Maguire i would have to agree
Just didn't get released as a single
Agree is very heavy song
First thought as soon as it started. It’s not on the greatest hits record, that and Still Remains make their Greatest Hits CD slightly incomplete.
In my circle of life it was a huge hit, Maybe you were listening to much Britney????

Good with stp, not keen on revolvers music or the jagger moves tbh

This is the greatest intro and performance to a concert I've ever seen.
This is so unbelievably bad ass! This HAS to be their best performance ever!
Scott was the last true rockstar that we’ve seen. The dude was electric on stage. So thankful I was able to see them multiple times
The crack of that snare at the beginning....
Best opening number EVER.

You are soooooo right. I saw them open this way twice in 2000.

That performance of Crackerman is amazing. Scott's moves, the megaphone, "that's wonderful". I wish I'd been there, or in any other concert of stp.
