    Love how only a necessary amount of bait is being used unlike other videos ive see on youtube, where they get as much free bait as they want and put an absolute tonne of bait in for 1 session,which is just unnecessary and very expensive for people who actually have to buy their bait. Aswell, i love how simple the rig is compared to those showcased by companies trying to make you buy extra products that may slightly help with catching fish but essentially doesn't make any significant difference. Cracking film great to watch 👍

    Great Video Phil!! Absolutely Awesome Tench Fishing, I would like to see some Pike Fishing next and the rigs use for it. As I am a Bream & Tench Fisherman as soon as the first frost hits the ground I turn to Predator Fishing Perch, Pike and The Zander. I am based in The Forest of Dean and I have the glorious River Wye which I work on as a Canoe, Kayak Paddle Board hire provider, the River Severn and the Gloucester Canal is where is Zander. As you know the Pike & Perch are everywhere in between.

    Just been out for a tench session Phil and had 35 fish over 2 nights. I'm hoping to bring my young lad out soon and would love if you could put out a bream video when the time suits.

      Hello Paul, yep they are the new Advanta RVS twin tips in 1.75lb tc. It’s the first time I’ve used them and was very happy with them. I was using 12lb mainline as the lakes can be very weedy at Bawburgh and there are some very big tench too.

    Great vid Phil hoping to get back on bawburgh this year and gonna target the tench and bream did ok with carp up to 30lb years ago but fancy a change,that looks like the point on bawburgh lake?

      This video was filmed a few years ago now. I was using the Advanta RVS twin tip rods. Advanta have re-vamped the rods slightly now 👌 The now have minima style guided making them lighter and even faster action 💪
      The 1.75lb tc are perfect Tench rods, ignore the fact they are called Barbel rods as they are great for so many different styles of fishing.

      Hi Joel, Phil was using the Shimano Baitrunner X-Aero RA 6000 Reels. 👍 These come with a double handle and the 8000 and 10,000 come with a single handle. Hope that helps.

      Hi Forestcity, Bawbugh lake is most definitely a gravel pit, albeit they have nicely matured since they where working gravel pits years ago.
      There are three large gravel pits on the complex and four smaller pits.
