Always something magical about catching a nice tench, nothing can beat it. Always been a winter fish for me, start trying to target them in late October when it's cold and grey, cup of tea, few smokes, good stuff
Many tench sessions myself, many tench videos watched, but never seen a tench so stunning as this. The colour is insane! Well worth the many sessions of blanks!
Its funny how I spent so much of my youth trying to catch tench and bream... so many hours, early mornings, late nights, trying all my local rivers and lakes, spotting them in the close season... without much success to be honest, so I stuck with roach, perch and rudd etc. The minute I started carp fishing, I couldn't cast a rod out without catching a big old bream or tench!! Got to laugh really!
What a stunning video from drennaninternational, who dos the filming it's brilliant a very pleasant watch thank you very much, and of course well done Daniel Woolcott, 🏆
Cracking film, got to say some of the best editing I’ve seen in a fishing vid. Well done with the gorgeous pink PB you netted too, what a beautiful fish. Tench have been my fave since being a kid, there was a small relatively unfished pond close to where I used to live and oh those summer evenings when I would net 4 or. 5 good sized tench (4-5lb). The pond is still there but haven’t a clue if it’s still fished or those beautiful fish still reside in there, looks completely overgrown with weed etc now which is such a shame but maybe one day I’ll go and pop a line in just out of curiosity. Thanks again for the vid mate. 🎣👍
Hi I've been fishing for over 50 yrs tench are the species which I enjoy and which I fell in love with . Your pb fish was outstanding what a great achievement stunning well done
Brilliant filming. Great video. We’re you fishing a Farnham & district water at the beginning?? Looks the same rig that Duncan uses 😆😆 12lb 6oz. Dream fish. 😃👍👍
Right. We need some new Drennan tench bream rods out now, and some proper barbel rods if you’ve got time :) Drennan and tench go together like, well Drennan and tench
Agreed I see the korum neoteric fs in use in the video witch isn't a problem as there nice rods..but drennan have produced even better. I've seen sum of the old series 7 specialists and martin bowler rods go for double what the cost new its the same with the float rods. Other than the twin tip duo's what else ...drennan we need more specialist rods choice...
This really looks like one of the pits next to the M20. I know that has some huge Tench in there. Stillwater = Tench Rivers = Barbel Best of British stunning fish
If you want massive tench, fish railway lake in snodland, or leisure sports no2 next to it, no one fishes them anymore very famous waters, there are record tench in both lakes, look it up
How do they get that red colour? I seen Jim Shelley catch a common up in Cambridgeshire that was really red n he thought it was to do with the blood worm. I’ve caught tench that are jet black but never red
How do English anglers use maggots and don't bother of little fishes. When I use maggots I can't get rid of liitle roaches and breams. Tench can't even get to the bait. BTW I love tench - ruclips.net/video/5Nb7z2fp5P4/видео.html
Must be nice...we're not allowed to fish in gravel pits, culverts or storm drains here. Everything is illegal here in Canada...no wonder all the best people have left!
This video is quite simply, one of the very best I have ever have the pleasure of watching. Thank you!
Thank you, Rob. Very happy you enjoyed it soo much. More to come!
I agree
I've watched this video so many times and I keep coming back, absolutely sublime.
That 12.6 was a stunner - Stoked for you.!!
This is where Angling becomes Art.
Great filming and narration there Daniel. Top Tenching and a superb pb.

You sir are a legend 🙌
The colour of that fish is stunning. I would give anything to catch a double figure tench. Amazing capture, well done mate 👌

Many tench sessions myself, many tench videos watched, but never seen a tench so stunning as this. The colour is insane! Well worth the many sessions of blanks!
