- When Spring arrives that means one thing - we're itching to get the Tench rods out! What better way to get in the Tinca mood than to see some of the best Tench anglers in the country at work, coaching our Tench Masterclass winners at last years amazing event. We can promise you there were some amazing fish caught!
There are eight places up for grabs for this years Tench Masterclass which will be held in May 2024. Our auction for places is now live, so place your bid now! I'm an all out Lure Angler! And 99% of the time I fish for predator species. But once or twice a year, I will go specifically for the native Tench. They are simply stunning and beautiful creatures. They will forever remain a favourite for me!
This deservers far more views. Exceptionally well filmed and a fantastic story.

Great video. I’m a ex patriot transplanted to the high desert of Utah. We have great fishing but sadly no tench fishing. It’s probably the only thing I miss from old blighty
Tench are confirmed as present in Utah, although it might take a bit of work to track them down.

Was one of those gentlemen related to the late great john wilson?
He mentioned tring reservoir, so I’m thinking it’s the late great Alan Wilson, not sure if he was was related to John Wilson though.
Mill Lane is a lovely lake, But those Tench don`t come out easy, I fished it for 3 months in the sping and never had a fish. They where all over me but would`nt eat my bait !! Heavily Carp fished so dont go chucking a rake about or you might end up in the lake.

Any recommendations on a pair of feeder rods for tench fishing anyone? Local to me I have tench between 3lb to 10lb and I'm looking to upgrade to a nice pair of new rods...There is however some dreaded 10lb+ carp kicking about too 🙄.....Cheers in advance 😎🤙🏻🎣🐟
Tri cast 1.5 barbel rods ,I use North Western Kevlites best rods ever made but extremely rare ,all my other rods are tricast,if not for you Drennan Acolytes ,buy cheap buy twice 👍
